With a big player like PayPal finally serious about crypto and want to be the pioneer on the bridge between the real business with crypto, I think the bullish trend will continue in the long term. Any setback or bearish will just a temporary. That hasn't include DeFi projects which also a strong fact in the long run of bullish for crypto in the future. You won't bet on it but I am.

PayPal is planning to implement crypto payment, that's not a bad news at all and we already have DeFi projects making Ethereum bullish this days.. that's two major news that can trigger bullrun soon but..... Don't make a bet on this, nothing might probably happen, actions speaks louder than words, maybe if PayPal actually get this done then, just maybe .......
paypal has successfully integrated the crypto currency system into their system, and has done the news that Paypal is able to save Bitcoin, of course this is extraordinary, mass adoption continues, Hold your BTC
Decentralized finance projects don't make Ethereum bullish. We knew that Ethereum would make bullrun during Ethereum 2.0. I didn't know that successfully PayPal integrated the cryptocurrency. That's how cryptocurrency future is more valuable than we thought. Still I'm confused about what the security problem will be, after this PayPal integrated.

The last news that I heard about this is that PayPal will enable its users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies through a mobile payment service, and to implement this idea, it has already entered into an agreement with the Paxos blockchain startup.

Interesting, now companies big or small are aware and know that cryptocurrencies are increasingly in demand. Of course they have to move faster than the others in order to really reap the big profits.

Big companies know how to make big profits. They are looking for ways to work on trending things so that they can reach more people faster. The popularity of cryptocurrency is bringing big companies like paypal. This will allow cryptocurrency to reach a larger number of people who did not know about cryptocurrency for so long. Cryptocurrency adoption requires large companies that have huge sales every day, such as Amazon. If Amazon accepts crypto as payment, so where do you think the price of Bitcoin will go? Bitcoin can go at a price we haven't imagined so far. So the integration of paypal alone will not result in anythin super big.

The main thing is that the cryptocurrency market is already growing and the prices of cryptocurrencies are growing and this is at least something, so then we just need to hope and believe that these positive news will continue to help the cryptocurrency market grow to new heights.

At first I thought that the highest thing PayPal can do is do build it's own crypto coin but yesterday while surfing the web it seems PayPal is targeting Bitcoin, they aren't planning to go separate blockchain, this is a big news
Paypal doesn’t seem old school. It is the one to follow the trend. So sooner or later it was going to step foot in the crypto world. Many big corporations, businesses, money giants and companies may despise bitcoin a little, but everyone wants a piece of it. No ones going to give up on making profits be it centralized system or decentralized system.

Seeing the positive approach of paypal towards crypto currency is not surprising, but I would like to see how this money giant tries to bend the technology to its own will and tries to control it.

It’s been more than 2 years since people have been dragging paypal’s name into this market. There’s always hype and fake news running in the market about paypal preparing to enter the digital crypto market and then the officials’ tweet about the same not being true. The same happened with ripple a couple of times.

There were rumours that paypal was planning on using XRP which created the hype among people and boosted the prices a bit, but it was later revealed by paypal that no such statement was made by them. To the honest, the whole community runs on rumours and hypes so be careful about what you listen or rather whom you listen to.

I see that almost all service sites have received crypto. By default they accept BTC, BCH and Ethereum.
I guess you meant major services but I am not seeing amazon is accepting cryptocurrencies yet. Only if amazon kind of frequently using services accepting cryptocurrencies, then we can be sure about reaching the level of "cryptos in mainstream payment" will be possible. I guess when BTC will be getting some new ATH, it will start happening.

This will make it easy for PayPal users. Previously they only received Fiat payments. I rarely use PayPal because I receive payments using Fiat. I see that almost all service sites have received crypto. By default they accept BTC, BCH and Ethereum.

Then you don't like the fact that no one wants to engage in cryptocurrency, then you don't like that someone starts doing it. Maybe you should already decide on your desires and not pour out negativity on everything you see?

It is already been out and written that Paypal has indeed a plan on making a crypto counter part of their platform. But I don't think that it would be as easy as they think, just look at what Facebook Libra has become, it has been a years since the rumor came out, and it has conducted an airdrop already but still no progress in they devs.

Let's not rely on PayPal taking over crypto payment, libra tried years back and nothing good comes out of it, if PayPal really starts accepting crypto as means of payment it will open door to more crypto adoption but don't get your hopes too high
Facebook was making their own cryptocurrency by the means of Libra and that would have given them a lot of power in the market and maybe the monopoly that they are targeting by buying companies here and there. But PayPal accepting payments in crypto means a lot for the mass adaption that people are talking about from a lot of time as it will encourage people to buy crypto and PayPal will definitely be having a guide to teach the people about the cryptocurrencies in general.
Crypto is too volatile to be used as payment method, im not sure if paypal is willing to take that risk, unless it's gonna be a third party thing. Steam used to accept bitcoin as payment method but they removed it later on because it's volatile. If paypal will ever make a token i think it's gonna be a stablecoin since alot of people here still have doubts about stablecoins, maybe paypal can fill in that gap.

Paypal would definitely get it done. Many of the payment processor are already into buying and selling crypto and Paypal would not stay behind. With paypal letting users buy crypto, it would be easier for a large group of people to buy crypto with their bank account/salary. This would be a positive thing for crypto adoption as many people are still struggling to buy crypto due to the hassle involved. There are many dapps in the past that has made Ethereum's network congestive but had no impact on price, the current Defi boom seems to be similar. Though ETH 2.0 is what we are expecting to boost the price of ETH.
If paypal will ever consider using crypto as payment they might consider using a stable coin or create their own chain, BTC is too volatile to use as of now, and as for selling and buying crypto there is a lot of reputable exchanges out there that can offer better security.
maybe paypal will create their own cryptocurrency, it will add their reputation as digital payment provider. integration between  bitcoin or cryptocurrency with paypal will be good combination that will bring new impact to crypto market and also be a pioneer for digital payment acceptance in the world.

Its too early to adopt because of this news but when Paypal makes a big move then that is the best time to enter, though if you have a higher risk tolerance then do it. Investing on the news is the best actually, this is the common law on investing if there's a hype news enter early.

More good news to come but I also agree that we need more actions that the hype words just like on Dodgecoin right now, which is full of hype. Don't listen to that easily so you wont get trap on top, be careful on your investments and study first every project and statement.

The more people will be frustrated with them if they are not going to actually give it a go for this endeavor.

They realize that people are already moving to crypto because of their policy like dispute of payments which the money goes back to the buyer and sellers sent the product without getting it back after the dispute. Scammers are taking advantage of this PayPal feature which is why people are using BTC.

They will be left behind with their old system if they are not going to take this opportunity to change their ways of doing things.

The only concern is PayPal team may decides to back off on this project later, but if PayPal can successfully do it as said, then this will bring more bull run to cryptocurrency market, probably with this, Ethereum and top altcoins will pump more  soon.

That's the issue, paypal may backoff at last. Just like how Facebook is 'feet dragging' with Libra, due to regulatory issues. It will be a big bang if PAYPAL embeds crypto at last, will give more crypto exposure and entrance to millions also fostering crypto to go mainstream.

Well maybe is the most valid word in crypto space since we how and what is really happening in it. But I am confident that what you are saying has a high possibility because PayPal is already known to its service and this fact would bring the fact that whatever thing the people behind it is planning to do, would succeed therefore the possibility of your saying could be.

paypal want to expand their user by adding featuring crypto as payment. its all about business strategy to expand user and company profits. we know crypto user growth massively day by day and . about volatility i am sure paypal team already predict and do the right thing when convert fiat to crypto.

you are right, betting on it might just be away of expecting so much but if it actually happens, i think it is a major push towards crypto adoption because paypal is a huge network with millions of dedicated userbase using their services on a daily basis and report shows that majority of their user base aren't into cryptocurrency but are however savvy towards digital assets. I believe when PayPal crypto exchange gateway starts working, millions of users would be prompted to know more on what's special about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies

It really would depend on how Paypal will implement and use crypto on its existing network.

More importantly, crypto is trying to avoid the middleman but Paypal is a middleman when it comes to digital transactions.

Therefore, Paypal must figure out how they'll make money out of crypto transactions while avoiding exorbitant fees to avoid alienating the crypto market in the process.

I mean why not, if the rumor is already spreading its worth the risk since either way you'll take benefits from both outcome. If ever paypal implement such thing then it will boost the the possibility of bull run on the other hand if they didn't really implement the payment method since it already been a rumor some people will still try and benefit from it.

I won't bet on this either. PayPal has been known for it negligence to it customers and when integrate the cryptocurrency payment to their system won't help solve their inactions to this. There are many other defi projects that has the ability and capacity to handle this than the PayPal company. This will not give some good vibes for the cryptocurrency industry but let's wait for the implementation before draw our conclusion on them, hope they change their ways this time.

There were so many things that were supposed to trigger a bull run this year.

One that I remember was the trend reversal and the level of 10 thousand being broken. We've reached 10400 USD and did not continue.

The second one was the halving. We're months past that and the price is lower than it was in July of last year.

Don't get your hopes high.

I haven't seen such news being confirmed to be honest.
If paypal really comes through with implementing such after the rumors I'd be very surprised. Especially given their staunch anti-crypto past.
If any such institution-friendly payment processor adopted crypto, I bet it'd be much like robinhood and eToro do it. They kind of offer buying and selling crypto, but in reality they have no option to withdraw or deposit, so it's just a simulation of trading crypto based on market prices without any real exposure, and the prices are marked up too. It's too optimistic to believe that PayPal would do any better but in reality we can only wait and see.

The current situation especially with already established tech companies is that they have realized the worth and legitima y of cryptocurrencies and they want to ride this tech revolution but at the same time due to unclear policies from govts and regulators they fear negative impact on their usual business due to crypto implementation that is why eithey they delay or cancel the crypto side for the time being untill clarity is there on the regulatory front.

if paypal provides new features for integration into crypto currencies, especially Bitcoin, I'm sure this is good for the future of Bitcoin, because maybe Bitcoin can become a new payment tool going forward, this is really good news

PayPal is a legal financial platform and if implementing crypto, I think it will have a big impact on the prices of some popular cryptos. The price of Bitcoin may break above the highest price if that happens.

There's no news yet. This is only "rumors" spreading around that Paypal is hiring people with crypto related experience. They are most likely will try to create their own currency with the use of Blockchain. There's no news that Paypal will integrate Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency in their system. I don't know man, we can't be hype just because of this simple rumors.

Yes that's true, action speaks louder than words and until we see it coming to fruition then we can bet, even at that, there is still every tendency the market might not react to it. I always have the notion that the crypto market have a mind of its own, which is why predictions don't work. Nevertheless, I won't still fail to point out that with PayPal taking such steps, it will bring more exposure to all that pertains to crypto because it will be proving a lot of platforms wrong. On the other hand, if Defi projects duly remain good without getting saturated with worthless projects, then it will likely set in a new trend in the crypto space.

Soon more and more people will know and invest in cryptos because of this known application who would want to add cryptos as a way to purchase and that will be a great benefit for both the company and to us people who believes in cryptos. If it will be implemented for sure additional users will use that application and the company will surely benefit and earn more from that. They will also promote cryptos to their users who so not know anything about it and that will be great. I just hope it will happen soon if ever they really have the plan to do it.

If PayPal wants to implement that kind of service, I think they can because they have all the resources to make it happen. But are you sure about that information, is that reliable? or just gossip, Because as I remember Paypal was backed out in the Calibra project because of many problems involving crypto and other legal scrutiny, thats why I doubt that information. so for now, just wait and see, for what will happens next.

The Paypal news I think is just a rumor and I didn't read articles from trusted sources telling that they will implement it.

With regards to the DEFI projects of Ethereum, I believe that this will take a long time but they are already in the process of developing it. Holding a bit of BTC and ETH would be fine though just like me. I'm holding a bit of ETH and most of my portfolio is on BTC. Just don't expect too much in these kind of news spreading in the internet.

Maybe so. This is why after the slight bullish trend the crash begun. For all we know its just a rumor and those who bought the news now are regretting selling their BTC for a lower price. Much like getting robbed without even a knife to their necks.  We all know they hate BTC since the time it exists we can't just expect them to change their thought about it and join the club.

I am seeing this PayPal cryptocurrencies payment project like what we have last year on Facebook coin. It might not be actualize soon. I believe that we still have long time to go on this.
I also agree with you, surely they will have a lot of difficulties implementing it. Because it will be like Libra, it will have a lot of legal difficulties and it will take a lot of time in the future for their ideas to be implemented.

This is quite interesting to see and how serious is Paypal for this adoption.

https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/is-paypal-poised-to-enter-crypto-all-you-need-to-know/

If they really on that determination and interest to take crypto well that it looks great. They have tried it before but it never happens and hoping for this turn they could finally make it. This could actually be helping them out and still be competent knowing the fact that crypto adoption is getting stronger.

Why not OP? If ever Paypal implemented this method Im sure it will favor most users cause insteaf of having or using paypal through our credit or debit card, we can spare some crypto instead.

But seeing this happen possibly may take some time to do. I know they are considering a lot of things if this will be good for their platform. But for me, when this occured then it will be a great innovation and addition to payment system.

It's better no to make move because PayPal is planning to implement crypto, just buy reliable coins and hold, also take advantages when available, as for those saying PayPal won't use Bitcoin because of volatility well I think that volatility is the reason why PayPal is interested, everyone is looking at volatility as the enemy whereas that volatility is what makes crypto very good

Nothing is particular to expect a good run from this because we already knew the stand of Paypal ever since so i believe that there
are so many factor to consider before buying this idea that This market will Bullying just
because of this news.

Buy Bitcoin or your altcoins because you trust this and not because there is coming good news,
and about ethereum being bullish these days?what about now that this falls 220$ again?

Paypal are surely thinking of profit, it's a win-win situation for crypto and paypal, it will increase their revenue as crypto market is already a big market, it's a billion dollars market already so I guess that attracts them. As paypal introduces as to people, they will only become more popular, however, as to the expectation that it will result to the increase of price of bitcoin, maybe the hype will but when it's implemented, it will not happen right away.

Let us always remember that most of the pump in the market are just caused by hype, and when hype is over, everything will come back to normal..

The effect of this news if it will happen is for crypto market's long-term and that would certainly help to increase adoption.

Just evaluate what happens if PayPal implements cryptocurrency payments, do you think all the cryptocurrency traders will flock to PayPal who has a history of freezing the account without any reason for months? no way but then the users who are using PayPal to trade might consider it as an added advantage and nothing else and it will not make any huge waves in the price of bitcoin and it will not trigger anything in the market.

If Paypal has that thing in mind, I think implementing crypto payment in their app might be their priority by knowing that cryptocurrency or blockchain technology is now spreading fast as possible in a lots of companies. I think they won't hessitate applying it because I am sure they know the history of blockchain tech and they know for sure what benefits they could get.

This case is not new, many organisation and companies have been said to adopt crypto/blockchain as a payment system. Watford United England also did the same with sportbets.io, a casino platform using bitcoin as payment, Facebook wanted to implement Libra stable coin as payment and transaction system but obstructed by US laws, now PayPal is slowly adopting crypto payment system, this implementation may or may not in turn bring in more investors to crypto space because many feel cryptocurrency is still a scam.

It may not bring new investors which is a probability but it will foster more awareness which is most fundamental at this stage of crypto,  there is need for wider awareness to initiate adoption, when people speak of crypto adoption they tend to forget that very few percent of the world population are aware of crypto, so that awareness needs to be increased before any other thing.

At first I thought that the highest thing PayPal can do is do build it's own crypto coin but yesterday while surfing the web it seems PayPal is targeting Bitcoin, they aren't planning to go separate blockchain, this is a big news

if its true that they don't  want to create their own coins then its not only a big news but many investors will come to support bitcoin since PayPal is one of the most popular online payment use by this generation it will give more hype bitcoin currency as the owner of PayPal also believe in bitcoin future to use as a new currency world wide.

Paypal has realized cashapp has made 300 million in profits since adding the ability to purchase BTC on their app. I think many big companies will follow cashapp the profits are irresistible for them whether they like crypto or not.

It's already been a trend, many third party services in the middle for our bitcoin and crypto transactions, and many of them are making good money every year. So it's time for PayPal to join as well. But as far as the bullish signal, we haven't seen the effect, perhaps when it really go live this year or the next ,we will finally see if it really bring those 325 million PayPal users to crypto as well.

Good point, this is a huge move as we enter the digital era because of the pandemic. A lot of companies may even think about using PayPal as their ways of paying their employees.

Yes, it may give a small traction in terms of price but I really don't think that its what we will be needing to get us to the next level. We need major businesses, whether big or small to start implementing crypto/blockchain into their system, same as how PayPal did it here. There are  innovations at the protocol, fixing fundamental design issues that haunted earlier generations of blockchains and issues that have hindered large-scale adoption of blockchain technology.
