Awesome so i did this and got the nano fury working faster, but just went in to bfgminer 3.10  then device manager and changed the oscillator value from 50 to 52, even got it with a (relatively) low error rate, nothing like zero like i've seen though but now the whole thing has given up on me and when i try to run the nanofury i just get the line
"nfy 0: BITFURY_INIT_OLDBUF:GIVING UP AFTER 4 TRIES" but it runs that all night if i let it. ALL my other miners are doing great together on bfgminer 3.10, but i am really stuck here.

As for the other miners - you may have the most luck by asking those questions on their specific threads. I'm not sure what model and make miner do you have, so I'd prefer not to mislead you and point you to the wrong manufacturer' forum. (Just use the search option on the forums - there aren't that many manufacturers)

There are a lot of people keeping an eye on such threads and many of them have already gone through your steps and can likely help with your questions.

Ok, i've seen stuff like this before. It's where i get real stuck. I'm running windows7 and bfgminer 3.10 for anything that doesn't work with bitminter's client.
Where do i see the command line or put this string in? Also can I add a line for the BPM (red fury)next to it? examples would be awesome. Thanks for all the help so far!

You can experiment with various numbers until you find a combination that works for you. Usually those devices will max out at 53/54/55 bits and you'll start seeing a lot of errors. If the error rate goes over 5% that's a sign you've hit (or even exceeded) the limits.

Two things to keep in mind when overclocking:
- it will use more power - ideally budget 0.8A per bitfury chip
- it will be VERY HOT. Adding a fan will be a must. You can also add a small heatsink on top of the bitfury chip - that helps too.

I don't know what speed setting i'm using (this is how noob we're going) my cooling is passive because it sits all by itself, sorta in the way of the air-con. It's the file which determines speed settings and what i should put in it which eludes me.

Right now this computer is running Erupters, U1's and U2's, and a Red Fury as well simply because i have my other machine with 100% Ants and this is sorta my tweakin' frankenstein computer. I could run the Ants and Erupters on another piece of software (bitminter) but the Nano Fury is probably gonna have to run alongside the red fury in bfg(which is also passively cooled as there is just one sitting wide out in the open.)

Everything else are antminers that act finicky so i got free replacements for them and this is just me trying not to waste a single H/s even if i can get them to underclock, the Erupters are there to fill in space on the hub. I hear Nano's prefer to play alone so i can go that route if i need to for trouble shooting.

What speed setting are you using? and what cooling are you using?

Forgive my nubetude but what file do i change (and how) in order to put in the values for my ice(nano) fury? I'm only gett 1.8GH/s, and a pretty high error value as well, in bfgminer3.10.0.

Some help with control over my red fury would be cool too, it runs OK with the proper driver but on the low end of advertised speed. Remember to answer this question in a nube friendly manner if you're up for it. thank you.

Then you need to buy a 2 or 3 watt computer that can run Windows 7 then. Gigabyte and Xi3 are the only manufactures that I know of that build such a beast.

I run with a zotac mini pc with win7
It is happy with 70+ usb's pulling about 50w

I would rather not have my PC running this.  My PC uses about 500w on average, the Raspberry Pi uses, what, 2 or 3 watts?

I even attempted to run them by themselves on the minepeon server but they won't even be identified by either cgminer v4.x or bfgminer v3.10.0.

You can't mixed Ice Furys and BFL USB miners. You need put the Ice Furys on their own machine.

It it's works good under Windows 7 why are you messing with it?

Hi vs3, I did read the previous threads. I have posts on this thread on the previous pages. I believe some of the previous suggestions mentioned something about slowing down my USB ports to 1.1 speeds. This isn't something I'm looking to do.  I do have another hub with 80Gh/s worth of ButterflyLabs miners connected to one of the R-Pi's USB ports on the same Raspberry Pi working just fine and slowing down the USB hubs isn't a viable option for me.

Oh and by the way - how about if you bother to look on THIS SAME THREAD - it's not even that further back - it is ON THE PREVIOUS PAGE.

Hi everyone.
Wow after all this time I still can't get these white Icefury (Ice Fury, NanoFury, Nano Fury, whatever they should be labeled as, it's all still the same) USB blocks to work with the Raspberry Pi & no word here.  Trying it with a separate Rosewil USB 2.0 35 watt powered hub plugged into the Raspberry Pi Model B with the newest BETA (STABLE) of Minepeon v2.4.6 & nada, squat, zilch.  Under Windows v7 with Multiminer, it's all great but I'd rather not do it this way.

The default config line in Minepeon's Miner Startup Settings reads as follows:

Follow these steps:

1. plug the power into your hub.
2. plug the usb cable from your hub into your computer and let Windows detect it.
3. plug each miner into the hub one at a time letting windows detect each one and install the HID driver for it (This is a Windows 7/8.x driver)
4. start your bfgminer with the command found in this forum and start mining away.

One thing to note you need a good decent power supply with your hub, a if you are using a USB 10 port 2.0 hub I found that a 4A (amp) power supply will drive 5 ice fury's comfortably OC'd at 54, anything less than 4A (amps) for 5 ice fury's will result in either them not being recognized or you have them constantly failing.

The ice fury doesn't need any drivers to work with bfgminer.

hi everybody !  is there other way or solution you encounter on how ice fury work with bfgminer under windows 7 professional 64bit. i tried everything in the forums and other site yet still no luck. every time i install the bf1 or drivers theres always an error, it took me over night just to make this work, then here is zidag installer that recognized it Nano Fury NF1 v0.7, well better than nothing i use cgminer v3.12.0 that gives an average 1.8gh/s. i still want to make it work with bfgminer please share some experience thank you.

Ok. Thanks. Now to figure out why the author of Multiminer hasn't been able to tell me why they aren't being picked up by his BFGminer GUI.  BFGminer can see them using & is currently using them via the Windows CMD prompt.   Hmmm.

They're fully supported on cgminer. As always, use latest version.

So are these Ice Furies still being made? Seems like either no one is carrying them anymore & are out of stock at the same time or that's it for these.  No one can get them to stock 'em?  I have 3 of them & wished I had purchased more a month ago.

I have my 5 ice fury's on a vantec 10 port USB 2.0 hub and have upgraded the PSU to a 5VDC 4A and they fine at 54.

I have mind already doing that but find the PSU gets pretty hot at 54, so I am going to see if I find one of these 5v 10A PSU's locally to use on my hub before pushing them up any further.

In the above case check in device manager which group your device shows under, (if using BFGMINER) if its under usb devices then you can go the miner properties and remove driver and delete from system, scan for changes, miner auto detected and driver auto installed and it appears under HID compoliant devices this time, bfgminer will then see it..

I got in on the pre-order for the Ice Fury and took up the option to get a Red Fury at a slight discount.  They arrived today and so far I've not been able to get the Ice Fury to work.  The Red Fury is working and giving me what I expected as for a hash rate. 

So first I'd love help getting the Ice Fury to be seen.  I installed the driver which worked just fine for the Red Fury but when I go into bfgminer it shows one device which is Bitfury BF1 from BFMG.  If I do the + to add a device, bfgminer doesn't find the Ice Fury.  I'm running Windows 7 Pro and bfgminer 3.9 x64.  One odd thing is when I go into Device Manager the Ice Fury is showing up under Universal Serial Bus Devices and is listed as NanoFury NF1 v0.7.  The working Red Fury is showing up under Ports (COM & LPT) as Bitfury BF1 USB Miner (COM4).  I would expect both to show up in the same spot, I've tried reinstalling the driver for the Ice Fury but no luck from the bfgminer download.

The next part I'd love some help with is the batch file for bfgminer.  Once I get the Ice Fury working I'd like to have them as different workers so I can keep an eye on them.  Would this be a good config, I also have tried to disable GPU mining and neither the -G or --disable-gpu works.  Of course my actual batch file doesn't have me.worker1 or Password.

All that is required is usb 3.0 and osc bit 55 to max them.

Awesome smaller design, makes the Blue/Red Fury USB's look huge, hehe. It would seem as if they are already over clocked, hehe, one is running at a solid 2.9GH/s & the other at 3.2GH/s

I haven't really played with the much, what's them much yet and won't get a chance to for a little while as I'll be away on business next week, but so far it's looking awesome. What's the over-clocking magic for these, resistor change?

If anyone is curious, I'm running them on a Beaglebone Black w/Debian & CGMiner 3.10.0.

What did you build it on? I've only tried it on pc linux/windows so far.

I just tried this but I cant get passed this error, I enabled Bitfury devices in configure as I didnt see any specific ref to nano or ice fury..(was that ok?)

Adding dwc_otg.speed=1 brings the Pi's USB down to USB1.1 speed.  This is a kludge at best, especially considering the Pi's NIC runs off the same USB bus.  You're essentially totally nerfing the Pi's USB and NIC throughput to a total 12Mb (taking off protocol overhead you're less than 10Mb).

That's a shame, Blues,Reds,Bi.'s,Twins, they all live happily together on the Pi.

The Pi's USB support is broken at best.  Don't bank on getting them working on the Pi, ever.

They run perfectly on a BeagleBone Black, which hasn't got broken USB.

Yes - I just got it running on a Windows laptop to rule out chip issues.

Is the issue with the Raspberry hardware? I'd like to move it back if possible.

Can you try a different OS? Running them on raspberry pi has issues with hidapi

I have only one Ice Fury and one block eruptor. If I plug in the Ice fury alone bfgminer shows no devices, the error is shown only when the block eruptor is present.

Hi Irq, Can you say how many you have attached? have you tried plugging in one USB miner (starting with Ice F)at a time? I have seen this error once a thresh-hold seems to get breached, which presents itself along the lines of a maximum number of devices per USB controller. ie on Windows 7 on single controller I get device manager "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

On Ubuntu Bfgminer I have seen " mcp2210 lowlevel driver failed to open it " again when more than x devices are attached to a single USB controller, I spread devices around multiple hubs and plugged in different USB controller ports which allowed up to 48 devices to be seen.

Where are you selling these Beastlymac?

Also looking for help with my new Ice Fury. I've tried all suggested NanoFury configurations but still get errors when starting:

nanofury_lowl_probe: Matched "NanoFury NF1 v0.7" serial "0000093289", but mcp2210 lowlevel driver failed to open it

This is white PCB with 'iceFury' text on Raspbian with latest hidapi and bfgminer 3.9.0.

Appreciate any help with getting this running or at least identifying what the problem is.

Units from us are distinctive with name Ice fury on the PCB , White PCB and silver heatsink, made in New Zealand. I have been arranging purchase through group buy leads.

Have to agree they are a stud stick.  better then any of the other 1 chip bitfury sticks I am running 16 of them all at 54 overclock.

I do have 1 question I can not seem to run more then 15 sticks on 1 pc using bfgminer.  but the 15 sticks do get me over  37.5 gh.  so I run 15 on 1 pc and 1 on another.

I've got two here, very happy with them.  One's running at 2.77GH and the other at 2.55GH - both at 54.  Running them on bfgminer 3.9.0, plugged in to a DLink 7-port.  Also work fine on an aluminium Anker 10-port USB3 hub.

They are coming from us. Not marto. Vs3 tweaked the design for us so that we would have better component availability.

In addition to the support topics you've got in mind, is there any chance you can share any background information on these please Beastlymac? I'm seeing a few around but no consistent story of where they're coming from, some are claiming they're you, some saying Technobit (marto). Do you know who's tweaked the design, what the changes are, and who is manufacturing/assembling/wholesale these?
