Very important point. So what Reddit is telling its users is that privacy doesn't matter for ordinary people, but that of the celebs must be protected at all cost. I have also heard about ethereum and its ethercoin, hope every thing is fine with them.
The only time a site "needs" to remove content is if the site receives a valid request from the content's owner to take it down, if this does not happen they will not self censor what is displayed.
Reddit is not about privacy when you have a sub about hacking into people's phone exclusively. Reddit does clean ups though, like in the climate change sub by destroying any counter arguments , or in the video game subs when the subject was about the Zoe Quinn scandal (rather the game media industry scandal) a couple weeks ago, deleting thousands upon thousands of comments, links, non stop.
