It serves to protect investors and could protect bounty hunters but projects don't use escrows. Escrow could force projects to pay bounty hunters before they release invested funds.

I also once was interested in this issue and it turned out that here is the Wild West. Everyone is based on his own experience and partly on good luck. In case the project fails or behaves unfair, bounty hunters can't do anything. I would gladly support the establishment of a Union that would influence and protect the rights of bounty hunters.
in my opinion there is no organization that protects the rights for bounty hunters, because bounty hunters are free for anyone and their whereabouts are unknown.
Unfortunately, there is no such structure. But we certainly need a structure like this as a bounty hunter, there are times when I can't get what I deserve.
As far as I know there are no such organizations or defenders for bounty hunters now. However, there are bounty platforms that partially fulfill these functions, they choose projects, learn information about them, communicate with project representatives. Such platforms have a low percentage of scam projects and a large percentage of guaranteed payments. If you do not have enough experience to study the project data yourself and make an analysis, then you can trust the bounty platforms or rating sites. And of course be sure to read all the reviews about the project that interests you.

I think right now there is no any strong organization which have strong view on the ICOs to filter out the scam ICOs. The moderators of this forum play a vital role to give negative trust to scam ICOs besides that you can also go to the rating websites where the expert rate these ICOs. Well, so far we have none the best thing we can do is to post a report in the scam section to warn potential investors and other bounty hunters,only bounty hunters can help bounty hunters too but it's going to be a big help if we have a group thast can help bounty hunters for rewards issues.
yeah, in 3 months, i've joined almost 6 video bounties and i was being scammed 3 times. even there is no problem with their whitepaper, website, and team. i've checked them all and it seems legit. but still they have scammed bounty hunters.

Then protecting investors now might not be feasible, until we see the regulation of not just STOs, but also ICOs coming into actualization. So if investors are protected, definitely, it will extend to bounty hunters.
I don't really know about bounty hunter protection organizations from fraudulent projects. because the bounty hunter follows the Bounty project to work to support the product and get tokens. Scam projects are rampant for that, we must be extra careful in choosing, the simple way I look at the product, the development team and the manager then provide a telegram or intragram group.
I remember that crypto has not been created by the SEC for its own law. Currently to detect a fraudulent ICO, it should be based on the investor itself, since most of these are currently only ICO rating sites, it does not bring much useful information to everyone.
Most of the ICO rating sites are useless in current market. Because no one is know the exact information and potential of ICO. I think many scam projects are listed in top level in many sites so we should check the softcap and hardcop of the project then choose the right project is the good move.

No, there are no such organizations. We are on our own. I used to think that if projects cut the pool or did not pay the rewards, nothing could be done, but over time I saw many examples when the bounty hunter community managed to achieve it.

YOU... YOU are who must protect yourself... I mean, at the moment there aren't too many laws about crypto... it is true that step by step we are growing a regulation about crypto but at the moment, as far as I know, it'd be better if you save yourself from scams.

I don't think there is any prganization that protects the rights of bounty hunters. In fact, it is the bounty hunters that needs the job and not the ICO itself. So whether we like it or not, it is part of the risk for bounty hunters to identify those legit and scam projects.
bounty participants are currently at a disadvantage because there are many cheats who cheat and there is no protection for them. this makes them much harmed by irresponsible people

I also wait like you, so far I have only been following a bounty because I am sure and read their whitepaper, there is no organization that guarantees a project is a scam or not, so depend on yourself
no denying that indeed, ICO that culminate with the cheat more, but why still many participants involved in it. This is because they know full well that the ICO basically give you an advantage in an easy way. only does indeed need to be careful in choosing the ICO.

Unfortunately, bountie hunters currently have no way to enforce their rights. Hopefully someday a solution will be found for this problem. Otherwise bounties are becoming increasingly unattractive. None my brother. This question have bugged my mind before. Most Campaign managers are now friendly before and during bounty but once the bounty has ended, they will turn to tigers and intimidators. I wish bounty hunters can have a union

I think up to now, I haven't found it. quite troubling indeed with an increase in the number of ICO scam is certainly detrimental to many parties. I wish for the ICO and bounty campaign goes healthy with no cheating.

I am joined many bounty campaigns before, even I have read their whitepaper, but still cannot find out the project is scam or not, the scammer also are using the real person and you do not know this person is the real team member or not, it hard to find the scam project in this case.
There is no support for bounty hunters, they are not guranteed . But in my opnion escrows should be involved this situation and protect bounty hunters rights.
There is no any cooperate body that is protecting bounty hunters, the team and bounty manager treat bounty hunter as beggers or think they are not important but you can avoid scam bounty by following trusted bounty managers without picking bounties randomly

There was a time that teams are doing ICO are required to have escrows. Escrows can be a safeguard for the bounty hunters and also the investors depending to the agreement but then again no one is for sure about getting paid but there's higher chance of it. Those times I think were better than the ones that is happening today. SEC would also be good and its currently happening on some corners of the globe.
In my opinion requiring escrow in conducting ICO is/was a good option. But the possibility of fraud can still occur. And yes, perhaps SEC could be one of the options for ICO regulator, but not bounty hunters IMHO.
For now there is no organization that protect bounty hunters from scammers i think. I do hope that there will one in the future but as a bounty hunter we should also do our part on making the project successful by not spamming.

Actually, its hard to determine if you the project that you have promoting is legit or not. There is no organization that protect that right of bounty hunters and as of now some bounty hunter do not receive their rewards after promoting the project simply because it is failed or it is scam. As far as I know, there is no existing organization or group inside our forum dealing with that kind of matters. The mods are the one who take responsible for giving disciplinary actions against scammers (by putting neg trust of course).And is there a way to know if the project you're promoting is legit or not??
Yup! It is by doing your own research on that particular project. You should visit their site and social media accounts, look for their whitpaper and objectives and look for the dev team. The answer for your question will based on your intuition and own analysis with the small help of opinions coming from the others (keeping updated in the Service Discussion might help too. Here's a tip, if the project is too good to be true or looks shady then there's a big chance that it was a scam. Be very careful in making decisions and good luck

Then there will be a government agency that may consider complaints against ICO teams. Many states are already taking certain steps to regulate ICO activities. I've been thinking about the need for a Union for bounty hunters for a long time. It seems to me that this would be a good option and many bounty hunters would agree to give a few percent of their income in exchange for protection of interests.

for me, a bounty hunter only bet on the luck they have in determining which projects succeed or not.
when the project they are participating in is successful then it is luck.
While when the project fails, they must be able to receive as well as possible.

How we wish there are but no there are none and we are left to our own and besides it might become a source of corruption, like what happen to some rating sites, who are supposed to be our guide but ends up conniving with scam ICO to get high grades from their rating.
there is no way to find out if there are only a few scams because they manipulate a lot of team data to create projects, hopefully this can be overcome by many parties so that all projects can be safe to follow.

We will see by 2019 SEC's full statement about ICOs. Knowing what's legit or not, is hard today as most of them are scam though they have an interesting whitepaper and roadmap.

I know some projects have ability to track the ICOs as well as verify them. But I do not know whether it really works. You can visit Loligo project and W12 project. I read their concepts, I think they can solve the legal problem of ICOs.
I think there are no organizations like you at all, BM and bounty platforms are not bountyhunter protectors, they are just middlemen and they can also be deceived. To avoid scam projects the best way is to rely on yourself.

It used to be those rating, but they cannot even track who are scam and who are not, there were reports that some of these rating sites are even receiving money from ICO to get a good rating, we do not have a legit and honest organizations to track who are scam and who are not.
