Not neccessarily. An example would be the constellationlabs.io ICO.

There is going to be no bonus in the public sale. But there was a round of presale (I don't have any details of that) and there is currently running private presale 2 (25% discount, 100k$ minimum investment) and presale 3 (15% discount, 25k$ minimum investment).

What they do is they buy into the early rounds with a lot of money and then resell to other people while keeping a part of the bonus.

After multiple resellers the offer I saw was 5% bonus in the aforementioned telegram channel. It's still a bonus on what the public sale will be.

What I wanna do is of course get into contact with the first resellers in order to be able to purchase at the highest possible bonus amount. But the managers of that telegram channel obviously don't want to give away from whom they are buying.

All info I got from them was they purchase the tokens for constellationlabs.io from a "company". But they don't only have that contact - their different offers come from differen contacts they have.

So there's obviously an industry behind this "buy in private presale and then resell"-stuff.

Hoping someone has some more info.
This makes a lot of sense, thanks.  Didn't realise that there was a market for the ICO tokens prior to listing.  I guess I should also be keeping an eye out on etherdelta for any ICOs that I didn't get in to.

This is really interesting. These resellers must be getting the tokens from the founders. I can't see any other way? Unless there are some kind of venture capital firms providing pre-ICO funding?

Hi,

I recently stumbled upon a telegram channel in which deals for ICOs were offered that were new / not known / not announced yet. These offers were always accompanied by bonuses that were not publicly available.

Today I learned that the managers of that group purchase these tokens not directly from these ICOs but from other resellers (who have enough money to buy into private presales).

So I figured if you wanna get the highest possible bonus it would be best to buy from the original resellers instead of the resellers of the resellers Smiley

Do you know any companies that purchase tokens and resell them (keeping some of the Bonus - that's their profit)?

Which ones. I've been trying to find them via google  but didn't really come up with any results.
