Good evening

A little bit about the project to give you an overview.

I have decided to finance my project with an ICO. In my specific case, the ICO is only the vehicle for financing. the purchased tokens have a real equivalent value, which you become the owner of. The incentive to purchase the token is that by buying the token you participate in a real asset, which results from the investment. This means that the entrepreneurial profit margin, from which every company we interact with lives, is shared between the owners of the tokens and the company, since the sum invested in the ico guarantees the real value. The returns are paid quarterly. this return is not based on price gains on the stock exchange but on a real, tangible asset. the profit is shared 50% with the company and 50% with the investors, resulting in the return.

Thank you if you have read this far.

Now to my question. How do I make people aware of my ICO? I am entrepreneurially savvy and have many years of experience. for 2 months i have been dealing intensively with the crypto and the ico market. However, I lack the know-how on how to technically attract attention for my ico marketing. The entrepreneurial profile as well as the numbers and the team will speak for themselves.

greetings from switzerland
Do you need money to trade on the stock exchange or, for example, buy real estate, and then share the profit between all participants?
Why is there a cryptocurrency here?
If you have good ideas for making a profit, then look for investors.
But any investment always has risks, so you need to show your investment history over the past years.

hey, money is used to finance the project/company. The cryptocurrency serves as a financing vehicle for investors. Of course, every business activity involves a certain risk. in our activity and with our profit margins, the risk is manageable and everyone can form their own opinion about the risk of the investment. we will produce a real product with a very large profit margin.

best regards and thank you for your input

Many thanks for your reply @noorman0

would it be good to do an ICO and binance launchpad at the same time. speaks against it?
You are welcome.
That's up to you as long as you're okay with the listing fee (you should also talk to a financial advisor). I just can't imagine these two methods being launched at the same time, should each have a distinct advantage so they don't "overshadow" the other.

it would also be possible to sell nft of the project and replace the vehicle ico with nft. I have hardly dealt with nfts and am not well versed in the subject area
It doesn't limit the type of project in particular (eg nft), if you can convince an influencer to join then that's an opportunity for you to get investors from among his fans. However, the launchpad method to certain exchanges is the main attraction and some provide PR promotion packages so there is no need to develop a special marketing strategy.

hey noorman0 thanks for your answer

I think the investment to be launched on a launchpad like binance launchpad is to high. But that would be the best option because as you said there is no need for a marketing campain. What I need to get figured out is how to be seen by people. the project is realy good and the value is in the real world.

What most new projects do is use social media platforms where they can easily be seen by people.
Then, if you have a good capital for introduction, you can pay for advertisements in the example above. It's legit, I have seen an ICO launch being advertised on Facebook.
You could also hire someone who will manage chat platforms like Discord and Telegram, it will boost by a lot since you can answer their queries there real time.
Forums are also helpful, like this one. You can bid for an ad after the first post which you must've seen a lot of times/everytime.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/advertise-on-this-forum-round-351-5398346

hey danherbias07

many thanks you helped me a lot! I didn't thought about making advertise on fb and ig. At the beginning of the project I have less capital, of course, which is why I'm looking for ways that offer the most views for the invested capital. FB and IG are certainly very good, but I think that I have to invest 2000-4000 a day to get a good price-performance ratio.

Thank you for your input and if you have more go for it Smiley

How do I make people aware of my ICO?

Simple answer: announce your project ICO then promote it.  No one will know if you don't announce and promote your ICO.  Now, it is a matter of presentation and marketing strength that will affect your target audience.  You can hire reputable and tested Bounty Managers in the forum for your marketing campaign, they might even give you sound advice on the dos and don't's of a crypto project initial crowdfunding.

You can find the list of BM's in this thread : Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers

Hey serjent05 thanks for your inputs! How and where would you announce your ico? whit promoting you mean to pay forums and websites to be on top of their sites or do you have other ways in mind? Do you know what a good bounty manager costs?

Thanks in advance!

As a investor I always walk away from any project that use ICO because its certain that the sale isn't going to happen on popular platforms like Binance exchange or Daomaker, people won't invest in your project you need to use IEO at least mate, ICO has been long forgotten and people have moved on.
IEO will only be good if the choice of platform on good exchanges is not on bad ones so IEOs still often suffer from deficiencies in this regard, but for IDOs I think it is still a bit better because now there are several successful IDOs and are also liked by many investors although there are also those who are not successful because market conditions are still not good.
I also see an IEO as better because the investors can already know that the project is legit by publishing it on a trustworthy site. Unfortunately, an IEO involves higher hurdles, since it costs a lot more money to get an IEO listening than an ICO listening. or am I wrong?

The ICO has fallen out of favor with the community, to put it bluntly, it's almost dead. If your idea is good and you are really serious about your project, then it is best to spend some extra money so that your project can launch on the launchers of famous platforms like binance, bybit or houbi then you can more easily reach investors.
In my opinion, now is not a good time to start a new project, we are in a bear market and people will limit their investment in new projects so waiting for a bull market would be more appropriate now.
hello fuguebtc

thank you very much for your input. Yes, that's unfortunately the case, the market conditions could be better. I'm still waiting at the moment. however, the low prices could also be an advantage since individual btc can now be cheaper than they will be in the future. can of course also run in the other direction.

For now, the ICO project is indeed lacking interest from investors, so to promote the project you create it takes time to tie it up, especially very many ICO projects that are scams and harm many parties, especially investors and bounty hunters who do not get paid, and the most widely used method by the team that manages a project is by using telegrams, maybe you can use this method.

hey rampagoe004

thanks for your input. but if you see its a legit project, a legit team, in a legit country you would also see good chance to get it rolling no? Its no ico for creating some metaverse blabla plattform in a ecosystem or what they always writte.

How do I make people aware of my ICO?
It's hard or almost not going to work these days. People are done with ICOs and that's why you should also remove that hope for it, sorry to discourage you but that's the reality that only a few invest with ICOs these days and they're even more meticulous because of its past that has been bombarded with scams and fake projects. It's about the trust that you need to get and not just all about marketing.

Thanks for your reply @Blockman.

I continue to see on icoholder, ico drops and other websites that ico's are still raking in large amounts of money for their projects. In any case, your answer confirms that it is important for future investors to be able to read a detailed white paper. During my research, I kept coming across ico's, which received more than 200,000 dollars in funds and presented a poorly detailed white paper. that's why i think that if you are open with people and don't hide any details, it should still be possible to get nice amounts from ico's.
That is true, if investors see that your project has something interesting in it, they'll invest. But the truth today is what I've said that many are done with these ICOs.
Those numbers that you're seeing from those websites, check them actually maybe there's a manipulation on those numbers so that there will still be interested listings that will use to inquire on them.

hey blockman, how do you check the numbers on the sites? I just see the provided nummbers on the running ico's.

OP can have the best words and the best marketing tools but because of the mess created by the past developers on ICO I don't think you can be successful in your Crowdfunding using an ICO, it's better to get private investors to invest in your project, create your platform and gain the trust of the investors first before they invest in your projects, in other words, show what your platform can do before asking more funds to sustain your project.

Can you try to list your ico to the some very popular ico launch site like ico drop. As far as i know you can also make your own thread in this forum and people may pay attention for your ico, in fact that if these can boost the popularity of your ico. i meant if you are seeing it properly if all of icos that have not backed by the big party behind it must have started from nothing to become something. This is the best thing that can be tried.

Thank you for your input Sir!
i think it is not difficult for a well-founded and professionally structured ico to be listed on ico drop, do you have any experience with this? if i get listed on ico drop i would attract enough organic attention. Am I correct? but it cannot be assumed that I would assume that would be a best-case scenario

Telegram is a strong avenue -- there are still tons of Telegram groups dedicated to token launches/ICOs/IEOs. Same with Twitter. ICOs are not yielding the same level of return they did in 2017-2018, raising tens of millions of dollars, but there are still ICOs out there raising a decent amount of money when done correctly. You'll need strong materials though: a one pager, a white paper, a website, stuff that legitimizes and deeply explains your project so you build trust.

Thanks for your reply @zooboomafoo1234.

What do you mean by a strong one paper?
Exactly as you describe it are my ideas, that's how I want to do it. Should I, if I post my ico on different ico-publishing websites in the calendar, generate organic attention on my own? Everyone in my team will stand for the project with their name and face, we have project-specific luminaries and masters of science economy on board.

Now to my question. How do I make people aware of my ICO?
This is the most difficult part beside the token creation contract audit and etc. attracting people was not an easy task and you shall do various marketing and shilling your project to attract the new users to come in your ico. It seems like that the launch pad project has become a new choice for you but this needs some criteria to be fulfilled. I think that you shall do marketing and shilling your project. The accuracy was not so big but there's also another way through create a partnership with popular project or get venture capital.

Thanks for your reply @bittick.

You mean the launchpad offer from binance? through which channels do i draw the attention of venture capital providers to the project? do you have some tips? Thank you very much for this input, I hadn't even thought of this type of capitalization.
You need good marketing to make people aware on your ICO or projects, team that build a projects doing bounty and signature campaign on bitcointalk furom to make people aware of the project and make the investors aware on it. Social media campaign is now a very simple way to extend information with the projects concept and use case.
Thank you for your reply @MiF. What exactly are the bounty and signature campaigns on the Bitcointalk forums? Do people who have invested in my ICO receive an extra bonus in the form of a bounty if they post their investment publicly in the forum? Or how does this work?

If you want to notice your project then tap services of popular sites like icodrops. But mind you they are only listing on their marketing site a good and potential one. Now if you can provide details and products or anything that could let them say yes. Then this project of youts could go somewhere. However, as I read a 50% profit sharr is something we all knew is a big no no. Anything higher reward means something shady cause how could you earn from it if the rewards are too high. Too good to be true offer end up nowhere.

Thank you for your reply @cryptoaddictchie

50% of the investment sum is not paid out quarterly as a return, that would be utopian. instead, the profit generated is paid out equally between the company and the investors, this corresponds to a profit sharing of 50% for the investors and 50% for the company. There are enough companies that have cheated amounts with ico. but that doesn't make sense to me if you can achieve more together in the long term and can still fall back on the ico tool for future projects.

Even if the marketing is done properly, I don't believe that crypto enthusiasts will devote their time in a newly launched ICO. I'm not saying your idea isn't good; it's just that, in the past, interest in initial coin offerings (ICOs) has declined.

The only trend that other people might still have an interest are NFT's which are pretty similar on how ICO works back in the days! If I may recommend, rather than taking a much riskier approach, I would invest my resources on building a brick and mortar business. It maybe slow, but it surely is organic.
Many thanks @mouse0728

basically it's a brick and mortar business. I see it the same way you do, physical work is less risky than programmed, high-tech work. The ico should only be the vehicle for financing. The winnings are generated in the real world and are physically present.

I learned a few things about the NFT hype and Memecoin especially how to market these kinds of projects by recruiting influencers as a marketing strategy. Some argue that this is an unethical way because it employs people who are not in their field.

Before moving on to the marketing stage, I would like to remind you that there are several bidding methods that go beyond ICOs such as launchpad and IDO.

Many thanks for your reply @noorman0

Of course, a project on binance or daomaker is more trustworthy. I noticed that myself on the ico's websites. I often ask myself how people get money for projects that are poorly described, hardly provide any information about the people and are pursuing a project that can only possibly bring added value. so i think i can stand out from the shady crowd with my well designed project for which a swiss company is founded. i think it is extremely difficult to get listed on binance or daomaker.

Thank you for your input @dwminer1

I don't think the bear market is a good time to launch an ICO. However, you can use this time to plan effective actions. There are many guides on the Internet on how to go about it and what elements to pay attention to. For my part, I could recommend this one: https://beincrypto.com/learn/how-to-launch-an-ico/
As for the promotion of the project itself, the best methods for years have been social media and influencers. It is worth using channels such as telegram, discord, twitter or youtube. And I advise you to follow the current market trends, such as DeFi or NFT in recent years.
I will read up on the topics you mentioned and if I may ask questions about them. if i understand it correctly, i can sell ''nfts of the project'' instead of ico-tokens, which represent the value you invest in the project. is that correct?

The old way, used social media to bring investors to your ICO. Create buzz word that will make people talk about your project. Maybe you can hire couple fo marketers or influencers to get the word out in crypto space.

However, I would say that ICO might be dead for now, or maybe not the hype anymore. But hey, if you're project is solid and you guys are legit and will not do a rug pull or scam investors out of their hard earn money, then by all means do the ICO.
