Ethereum's smart contract platform is still the king of ICOs, and this is where the Ethereum startup came from - the ICO way back 4 years ago. As the new emerging of blockchain technologies there are some competing blockchain offering other platform for ICO startups but Ethereum is still far beyond compare.

Several platforms for launching ICOs are emerging, and more are evolving. In 2017 the (almost) only platform used was Ethereum. Now NEO, Stellar and other projects, seems to offer very good solutions for launching ICOs.
Do you think Ethereum will be the winner in the long run, or do we see other platforms offer better solutions?
Ethereum will always become a winner in the future. Honestly, rather than using a new platform without any demand and then it looks like the majority of new developer is still only interesting in use ethereum platform as the main platform to be used to developer dapps, remember ethereum still on the way to fix its scalability problem.

At this moment, I do believe that Ethereum still will be the winner.
NEO has a good platform too, but I see that NEO still lack adoption by ICO project.

No one will tell you exactly who will be the winner among the blockchain platforms. But I know one thing, that Ethereum will not give up so easily. He has been successfully working in this field for many years and it is not so easy to win

Ethereum is an open-source, public, blockchain-based distributed computing platform and operating system featuring smart contract functionality. It supports a modified version of Nakamoto consensus via transaction based state transitions.

Ethereum is one of the best,

I think that the introduction of new platforms in the ICO is positive from all sides. This frees Ethereum platform from the load, this is competition, these are different aspects of development. In some thing other platforms win, in some they lose. But this is development.

As of Ethereum is the best project where lot of projects are able to launch their ICOs but in future better solution may emerge to reach mass audience and for scalability and self governance

The new blockchains will be EOS, Metronome, BOScoin, Tezos

I'm sure NEO will deliver some big news in terms of new features and projects. There are certainly some more good up-and-coming projects focusing on similar things so it's getting quite competitive. Shall be interesting.

In my opinion, ETH will remain the leader in this market, but other interesting projects will gradually appear.

So far the only ether that has all the potential to survive long cause many project requests who want to use the platform, if others are still very minimal enthusiasts to use their products I doubt it will last long other than that the value of market demand slightly when compared with ether.

No doubt NEO is coming up with many new and better features also it is better scaled but i  do not think any tokenizing platform will be able to replace eth anytime soon, it will take many years.

With ether and smart contracts, the same situation as with bitlock and other crypto-currencies in general. ETH and BTC are the first and, consequently, the largest. Over time, the market will choose the best. What will it be? it's hard to predict. Perhaps there will be several large monopoly platforms.

The Ethereum have the advantage of having been the first mover into the world of blockchain 2.0. Also, the Ethereum consortium is backed by a huge list of company that supports the technology.

A project that many call the Ethereum killer is EOS, but it will be hard to remove the king of smart contracts.
