I think ICO needs to consider its own financial status. If you have enough ETH, you can invest more!

The project outlook of ICO, this is also the question you need to consider!

I generally invest 2 or so ETH to carry out ICO's crowdfunding! Because I might be conservative!

I would rather know which ICOs were successful and real, to create a database of those managers who are trusted and whose actions were justified. It could help to invest more wisely and ride the storm, as well as avoid scams and unscrupulous sellers
I also do that before investing in ICOs I conduct a research about the coins project and the team behind it if they are active or not because it can affect the development of the coins project and it can encourage many people to join.

Hi everyone!
I'm trying to collect statistics the past ICO and I wanted to know what is your average investment in ICO. I do not mean specific projects, I'm only interested in the scatter of numbers. In the long term, I would like to compile a complete picture of the range of investment in projects and understand the principles by which people decide to invest and how much.
In my case I do not have any kind of methodology I just invest what I can afford in projects I think have a huge potential but since I have high standards for what I am looking for this gives me time to accumulate more bitcoin before investing in another project, I invest about 500 dollars per ico, it can be more or less but that is the average.

Usually I invest around 50$-200$ (my top being 600$) in ICO, depending on their popularity and how much do I think it's going to have an impact on the Crypto World.
Plus, I don't want to risk losing too much money, like thousands of dollars because the ICO was scam or something, because, after all, you can never be sure of anything in this industry..

Good point, once you have a selection of answers you can add a poll that covers the majority of answers and decide what sort of intervals to use. May I ask what the purpose behind the project is?

Just a research interest. I try to analyze the market of ICO on the part of the community, and not just whales.

Would you not be better setting up some sort of a poll for this?

Anyway, I tend to invest around 3000 or so in to an ICO. This number has been growing over time with my success and if that continue then it will continue to grow. I don't invest my full bag in to one ICO.

Yes,  I will add a pool for collecting answers. Now I do not quite imagine the scale of this pool, what is its maximum and minimum. So let the community share the data first, and I'll add a new form of collecting data later.

I consider myself as a newbie in this trade. I read and try to understand the process here for 1 month before i have a little knowledge about ICOs. To be honest i just jump into an ICO because of hype. I invested 1 Ether because that is all i can afford. Right now i am holding the coin because the value just dropped.

As I understand it he is asking us how much we invested in past projects and how we came to the conclusion to do so. But correct me if I'm wrong.

You are one hundred percent right!

...But be careful always on the information you've got since sometimes there are coins who's been reviewed well but turn out scam.

That's why I decided to ask the community. Perhaps the amount of information received will be less, but it will be more reliable.

Actually the information you want can be found on ICO trackers site which are ICObench,ICOalert and other sites you may find via google. But be careful always on the information you've got since sometimes there are coins who's been reviewed well but turn out scam.

Interesting idea. Be sure to lay out, if you gain enough material.
I usually fear to risk more than 100 - 200 $. Perhaps this will serve as the starting point for the scale Smiley

I've never tried to invest in an ICO because I think many ICOs exist today are not genuine and they just wanted to run our own money.
Some ICOs did not reach the soft cap because as of now, many ICOs existed but there are only a few number of investors so, I do not prefer to join at ICO.

I will follow your project, I hope you will be able to collect enough data.
I have a wide spread of investment. The minimum was a $ 100 maximum of $ 2000. Here everything depends on the project and on the current financial situation

can you also sort projects by type? then the picture will be more detailed and there will be more directions for later analysis.. to begin with at least tokens of the vs. coin, for example.

You can get an interesting statistical compilation, but the project is rather complicated.
My investment range is from 1 to 5 etherium, depending on the specific project.

Hi,

I have a hard rule for 1 ETH in projects only with MVP, Whitepaper and Team with decent LinedIn profiles.

The ROI for 2017 is XXXX % and there are still few pending ICO's to hit the exchanges.

Depends probably on your capabilities and the strategy chosen. I prefer to choose 1-2 project very confident and invest in it the entire amount. Someone I think chooses a lot of projects and divides to equal parts

Oh well, this is going to be a difficult project. I tend to invest 2 to 4 Eth after very carefully stuying the ICO. Less does not make sense, more is risky for me.
