For the past few months all crypto communities have been discussing another Pavel Durov's creation, namely Telegram Open Network (TON) - telegram.market
For those who don't follow blockchain projects, we're going to have to tell about it in the details one more time.
Pavel Durov is planning to create Telegram Open Network (TON) blockchain and new Gram cryptocurrency in order to make Telegram not just a messenger, but also a payment service provider which could compete with Visa and Mastercard.

Why there is this much hype about Telegram ICO?
There was no such large-scale project in the history of ICO yet, and it sure is a huge step for cryptocurrency development and it isn't surprising that many people predict big profit for investors and we must say, there is a sufficient justification for that:

  - The product
It's not every product that has a ready-made prototype at the time of carrying out ICO. Against this background Telegram looks quite impressive being the best messenger for now.

  - Audience
200 million users just now. If you are interested in cryptocurrency, then it's not secret to you that almost all communication between cryptoenthusiasts is conducted via Telegram. Any no ICO is run without group chat or channel in this particular messenger.

  - The team
Pavel Durov being the founder of VKontakte social network, is an authoritative figure in IT world. His very participation can generate the public's excitement. If to take the whole team including Nikolay Durov and other prize-winners of the world programming championships, it becomes pretty clear why there is this much hype and people interested in investing in the project.

Two private pre-sales of Gram coins for private investors have already taken place with deposit sum startin from 20 million dollars, leaving no chance to participate for ordinary people yet. And, of course, public pre-sale on the official website https://telegram.market/ is coming to an end: and that's the next thing we're going to talk about.

Just like Pavel Durov promised, there's going to be no advertizing about the public pre-sale, as required for all typical ICOs. He presented this message in his usual personal manne in post on Twitter:

The first ones to see the post were the most devoted fans, and there were so many of those that even a powerful server of the website couldn't handle it and went down. For nearly one and a half hours people were updating the website page in hope to be the first ones to buy Gram (the funny thing is that no bonuses were even provided for that, so it wouldn't really matter if they bought those right then or day after) and meanwhile discussing Telegram in all possible social networks and communities.

By the way, we got hits on some very powerful businessmen taking part in Telegram ICO.
These were, for example, investors from Benchmark (having sponsored Twitter and Uber earlier), Sequoia Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield (invested in Google and Amazon), Roman Abramovich (bought 300 million dollars worth currency on the private pre-sale), Bernard Arnault (4th in Forbes list) and many others. And it seems obvious that these type of people invest only in projects they have some really high expectations for.

It's still too early to assess the public pre-sale results since there are a few more days left, but it's been pretty clear for a long time that this one was sure successful. And even too successful meaning that there's most likely not going to be "the 4th final private pre-sale". That was hinted by Pavel Durov in hist last interview, but he hasn't given any detailed information. By the way, you can find all the latest news on the official website only: telegram.market

Why do people invest in Gram and what are the forecasts?
Due to such a rush, the price for Gram grows quicker than any cryptocurrency and it's only the pre-sale stage right now. For launching the rise of the price is expected to get minimum 5 times higher in the very first day. It just cannot but skyrocket. And due to level of trust of the project creators, we all understand that the risks are minimal.
A lot of people want to hop in the leaving train named TON, even those ones who don't know anything about cryptocurrency.

The co-founder of the Fiverr freelance platform - Shai Wininger, speaking at the session on digitalization of business at the Munich investment forum, has given the comment on TON:
Quote
"I sure find interesting this new type of blockchain and money transfer systems investing. I couldn't just get past it", – he said. "Even my driver has invested a few funds in TON ICO upon my advice. Because, like I said before, you don't need to know anything about blockchain to invest in cryptocurrency. If you see a real opportunity with the minimal risks, you gotta do it. Otherwise you will end up with nothing thinking about "Oh, I wish I'd..."", – he added.

As a disadvantage for ordinary people we can mention the fact that you can buy Gram currency only for cryptocurrency, just like in any other ICO. It might be problem for somebody to make transfers of the large sums of money to an e-wallet. But sooner or later it's the thing you're going to have to deal with.

This news couldn't pass by the famous traders what they call "The wolves of Wall Street" on the Internet. Of course, they gave their comments on Telegram ICO:
