So this is what I understood from ICON whitepaper and a chat with thier CM
✔️ They are building a master blockchain named NEXUS to interlink all the exsisting blockchins. It is also called a loop chain.
✔️ The concept is powerful and The level of complexity of this loop chain seems very high as it communicates with all the chains. the network is run by an AI and it's being built as we speak.
✔️ There won't be mining in the loop blockchain, instead they use a concept called C-reps (community representatives) which is pretty much same as masternodes. I will ask from one of the devs further details.
✔️ I am fond of the concept but the application level is yet to be detrmined.
✔️ They will use ICX token as the fuel in ICON network
✔️ Total no of tokens will be around 400million, pre sale price is 1ETH= 2500ICX
✔️ They have a kick ass dev team and advisory board
✔️ DAPPs and inter chains are possible
✔️ Goverenece system is decentralized
✔️ 🔥IMPORTANT🔥: Consensus Algorithm is LOP (Loop Fault Tolerance) , unlike POS or POW this will eradicate the possibility of forks.
✔️ Road map looks good and best things are yet to come
