ICOs have to make both ends meet so that they could be efficient and survive in this competitive market. Most of them are not innovative and cannot offer much to investors. So they are doing all they can in order to save at least smth.

The future is your Genome
Yes it is really happening right now,its either these managers are going to end the campaign or they will extend it but for me it is better to end it easily so the people wont waste their efforts, because only those higher ranks will benefit form these longer bounty campaign which is giving those lower ranks in bitcointalk pennies, that is why we should avoid these long campaigns.

I too noticed that when the bearish market comes its either these bounty programs will extend or be ended too early that is why we need to know when would these bears will come so we can avoid to join some of these new campaigns because it will be just waste of our time if ever these bounty managers will stop or extend these campaigns, because less chances for these ICOs to get investors when most of the people are sticking with the bitcoin.

SAPG Pre-Sale Live on Uniswap!
Yeah i have seen many icos recently that have extended their tokensale dates to couple of more months, this damages bounty campaigbs as more people will get to join the campaign and less tokens will be rewarded at the end due to more stakes earned. One solition to this could be the project should increase the number of tokens alloted for bounty campaign as well.

Yes as far as i know there are less ICOs that has achieved success in bearish markets, that is why less projects wil lbe able to with stand the bitcoin's dilemma because most of the investors are sticking with bitcoin rather than sticking in ethereum which is the platform which most of these tokens are being based, that is why whatever comes to ethereum these tokens will be affected.

I surely remember it was around later august or september? 2017 when markets were corrected a bit. Bounty campaigns were very bad around those days as well. Also investing in alt coins. Markets will recover as before don't worry.

Most of these ICOs are being based on ethereum based tokens which is erc20 that is why it really affects these ICOs,because if ethereum is continously failing most of these tokens wont be sold to their ICO causing these campaigns ti stop or postponed that campaign or extend it into some few months causing the whole bounty campaign to get delays !

I'm experiencing this kind of things lately because the market is really low, and the company investment didn't go according to plan, I sure wish that this market change in the few days in order for the investors to really gain and not just lose their money for a worthless token because of the market state.

Unibright Token Launch - 10th April 2018
Normally yes,its getting f*cked up our bounties and investments because most of these ICOs are based with erc20 tokens which is why most of these ICOs are failing as ethereum's keeps failing too. That is why most of the investors doesnt want to invest to ethereum anymore because it is unstable right now and most of the people are into bitcoin as of the moment

The issue here is that there are so many ICOs just entering the space because they feel it is a market for all. I know most of these ICOs spend alot on marketing but now you need to have a sound product to be able to raise money in a bear market like this current one

It is bullshit if you encountered something like that.
running 2nd phase of ICOs when the market turned this ? are you kidding me ?
that was not a reason but they did that in order to get money from you guys,so do not fall for it.
as a developer, they should have a bigger picture about market and how it works.
look at EOS for example, they collected a lot from the ICOs but did the sold it all ? no,because the project will not finish in a single night and needs a lot of time to get completed.
which mean even though the market went this bad,
it will not change the fact that every project has their own goal for a couple years later not for a few weeks later.

so i must say that they are trying to scam you if they want to run another ICOs because of the market.
such a classic reason.

That risk was always here, don't be surprised to see it now.
Investors know when they are investing they are actually gambling with money, and bounty hunters know that they might not be payed as promised.
There are too many ico's and I don't know how any of these projects can reach hardcap at all.

Yes, the situation is really tough, and many project teams are just waiting for better times to launch their ICOs, most promising ICOs don't give the expected value. I think the most reasonable decision is to wait, what else we can do?

It is always a risk with a fluctuating market and always hard to tell how it will impact the investments.

This is not the first time this happens when the crypto experience a bear market, they have difficulty raising money. The direct consequence bounty hunters receive nothing or a small reward for their time and effort.

What I learned is a risk to get a reward or nothing.

Wow, I was going to join an altcoin campaign but after reading this I'm having second thoughts because I'm not sure if I'll get paid after months of posting

I see a lot of ICOs deciding to suddenly change terms because they didn't raise as much money as they thought.
I also see failed ICOs doing a Round 2 or V2 or something like that.
Bounty hunters aren't getting paid or having bounties drastically reduced.
Early investors end up paying a higher price then late investors.

I'll give you some real life examples:

Fastinvest is doing a Round 2 for their ico with insane discounts and prices.
Early investors are essentially paying more even though they supported the project earlier.

Belugapay extended their ICO to a whopping 5 months and didn't raise that much money.
Early investors ended up paying more than late investors and nothing is being done to support early investors.
Bounty hunters are having their rewards locked along with team's tokens, that means that bounty rewards will be distributed 50% in 6 months and 50% in a year.

I believe that a clear indication on how strong a company is and it's long term potential shines brightly with how they adapt and change to the market conditions.

Check out TEND or the almighty Crowdhodling and the measures they took to adapt to the market, listen to their promoters and investors, and make changes.

It's not all about price, but which companies will emerge strong out of this bearish market to moon in the next bull run.
