It's a little hard. btc and eth have now become main coins. sometimes other tokens are already being considered. coins like waves, ltc, eth

Agree with this. ETH, BTC seems to be a prerequisite for collecting funds in ico under normal conditions. But in a bad trend and unstable psychology. I think they should accept Fiat. In my opinion Fiat is not affected by the market. They have enough space to arrange for the integrity of the project. Instead, under pressure, they have to discharge the BTC / ETH to make sure.

This will be a fun time for altcoin holders out there, well if it's worth the price, so few ICOs accepts other altcoins as payment than ETH and BTC. If that's the case I wonder if the funds will be accurate if its under so many altcoins.

Is this ICO an exchange?

I don't see a problem at all! The main thing that was what to invest, and in what form - it does not matter. Etherium and Bitcoin are Available.

I tell you if more coins are accepted into this payment and buying of coins it will help in popularising of the coins. It will further bring choices and release the market from monopoly. It will bring in more investors too and money will flow in, volume will rise and your altcoin hodlings will appreciate too.

Fiat currencies? How whatvkimd of ICO is this that you are talking about?

You must not have seen ICOs recently then,,, a lot have accepted fiat payments. Never seen Paypal but almost every big ICO based on existing business or already functioning business entity have included card payments (Visa and Mastercard) and even bank payments. In a sense, this is "easier" for them because almost all the crypto they get they will liquidate anyway.

If you think about it saves fees from people buying crypto and then the ICO selling it. Maybe this helps reduce the false buy/sell volumes for crypto.

If the market is very uncertain and unstable condition just like now that we are experiencing, would you trust to accept far inferior coin than ethereum and bitcoin? If you are a company owner you have to consider things like the acceptability and stability of the payment before accepting others. See, they just want to make sure there is no shortcomings to be establish when time comes.

I think some ICO projects have now adopted payment options other than ETH and BTC. Usually they accept BCH and USD/EUR as an alternative payment. Other coins I've come across are LTC and DASH.
Yep, they are so many options now to invest in fiat money using your coin. Its good to have a lot of option so people will find an easy way to invest. But its better to accept only good coins so the value of that coin will not dump easily because of volatility.

accepting too many is an issue too, the "value" of the crypto collected will be partially expensed during exchanges, swaps and transfers .. usually 5-10 is a gd call.

yes, especially when the situation is very unstable. accepting payment by credit card or fiat debit  is enough to be able to guarantee and verify the ICO

Actually not just that provided link of yours accepts different kind of cryptocurrency there are now many kinds of ICO that accepts bitcoin. Maybe before they the ICO before do not accept any kind of cryptocurrency but now many are into accepting different kind of cryptocurrency for a reason that ICO team see that as a good source and strategies.

I could provide the link once I have find this ICO again for you guys to know amd make a use out of it.

Nowadays the most ICO projects accept so many currencies including fiat currencies and paying via the credit cards sometimes. But surely they are mostly supporting BTC and ETH because they are the most used coins by the crypto community.

Bitcoin and ether are the most common cryptocurrencies, they can be easily purchased on almost all exchanges, unlike other coins. Projects are very unprofitable to take different coins, because you have to keep track of their unstable exchange rate, and it requires additional costs and time. Why the project team needs extra problems. In addition, investors prefer to keep their savings in stable currencies, not in altcoins.

The type of cryptos used as a contribution value during an ICO is dependent on the project development team, whether or not an independent blockchain is involved and the budgetary make up; this is so because once a particular currency is set, it is usually inconvenient to the prospective investor if it changes sporadically as it could be a deterrent to many interest parties. A part of the raised sum is usually liquidated and converted to fiat currencies to cater for non-crypto related expenses such as power bill, stationeries, and other expenses which do not require cryptos to pay off.

Usage of more altcoin will also help the acceptance process of cryptocurrency. There are very nice coins there like litecoin, dogecoin, sic, monero, waves etc. If icos adopt more of these coins, it will help. This will be a very good move for cryptocurrency.

Yeah they should accept other cryptocurrency other than BTC and ETH, but it can impose difficulties to the management as other cryptocurrency will be much more volatile than those two and BTC and ETH is the barometer of cryptocurrency. If they would be adding more options it should be within the top 25 that has more stability in prices.

There are ICOs that are also accepting BNB (Binance coin).

But it also depends on what is the coin that the developers type. But ETH and BTC are the most accurate and best coins for them to receive.

Agree on that. On the other hand managing and in the end cashing out all the coins can be quite a mess. Imagine you offer "Dogecoin" and you raised 2 million USD with it. How are you going to dump it, if the trading volume is so low, that dumping it would give you less than 2 milllion USD.

agree with you, a lot of investors who want to invest in ICO but are constrained because of the limited type of coin that can be used to invest in ICO. and the average is bitcoin and ethereum. but a progress as well when today many ICOs provide investment services with NEO.

Very few ICO's are already accepting multiple coins for the payments, even i am also agreeing because some people cannot able to buy the higher valued coin in the market. If an ICO company can manage to accept different potential coins will always help the small investors to invest in ICO.
