Goodbye, Z.
Had one deleted almost as soon as I posted it,gave a person negative trust for posting actual score hours after the game finished in a attempt to scam. Quoted him and left negative trust, but since they deleted my post the comment can now be altered.
Use archive.is, put the link in the reference to your feedback, hence noone can change the post,
and even when it's deleted by a moderator, your archive.is link won't go bad.

Northern Ireland 3 v 1 Slovenia

Since this is a new account and you posted the score after it was finished I think the intent to scam was there. Enjoy new rating.

You know I did not think about the person altering it till I started this post. Guess that is a issue after all but I get them wanting to keep the thread clean as well. Thats it I believe for deleted posts.

Goodbye, Z.
I have learnt to live with it, as a newbie I've gotten a considerable number of posts deleted that I learnt to play safe and say things that are very related to the topic so the moderator will not term it a being offtopic. I have been able to save my neck a bit.
You made 2 posts before this, 3 in total if we include that.
How many posts have you had deleted before? And how bad did they have to be...

I think you are quite active in poker threads and usually pointing out issues that maybe some of these sites do not like. I always laugh when I see your name as last poster in every poker thread.

Being out spoken most likely got you some extra scrutiny by some one in that field. Sign you are doing something right.

Goodbye, Z.
What is your opinion on deleting such a post?
I didn't read the post in its context and I haven't had a look at the thread, hence I'm not taking out the to comment on whether the one deleting it did a good job or not.

Is there anything to protect the user from being moderated unfairly?
A well-chosen set of moderators should do that job.

What if this moderator is a member, or has an alt account which is a member of the highest paying signature campaign which is for a site that is run unethically?
You're questioning the integrity of the moderators (or at least of one moderator, which you do not know specifically, hence we're back to all),
which I currently don't see a reason to. At least not for the sake of 1 deleted post.

Edit: This is in no way meant to come off as an attack on Lupin, but after re-reading it think it may come off that way.
Believe me when I say to you, I've had worse.

Welcome to the SaltySpitoon, how Tough are ya?
Mmmm, I remember looking at that report and being on the fence as to whether it was off topic or not. A topic that is not about the OP is considered off topic. However, you were discussing a matter that was somewhat related with the creator of the thread. I think the fact that you replied after the OP said "this will be my last response to you in this thread" is why the post was deleted.

These are just real questions I have.

Theymos is the oversight, and rather strict oversight at that. He pretty much solves the issue of users being moderated unfairly and moderators with alterior motives. I doubt he doesn't check to see if we have multiple accounts to make sure none of our alts are doing anything seedy. There have been times when I deleted a bunch of posts in a row, rightfully of course, and within minutes had a PM from Theymos asking what it was all about.

I don't think the moderator will and there isn't supposed to be a way to find out which moderator deleted your post.
The reason is simple, it's a way to protect the staff from becoming a target for their moderational work.
