Kraken.com can be used by Canadian citizens to buy bitcoins, and some other cryptos, with Wire Transfer Deposit.
You need to give your name, last name, phone, DOB, but you don't need to upload your ID card, utility bill, selfie etc
Unless you need to withdraw over $2,000 daily and $10,000 monthly in fiat and $5,000 daily -$50,000 monthly in crypto. There is no limit for deposits

Most big exchanges requires your verification by ID or something similar due to KYC policy.

Try to head over to BTCtalk currency exchange section, there should be a few exchangers there willing to trade without extensive verification, otherwise try to go to Localbitcoin to find users in Canada to exchange.

I don't like services, like the one you linked, who demand ID verifications and don't provide their own addresses. Looked around and didn't find any relevant info on their site about themselves.
I devide my funds to several exchangers and only serve ID to an exchanger (BTC/Fiat) of my trust with good own experiences.

I feel very reserved about this as well. It is not a simple thing to send a photo containing your face and ID to some company which you know very little about. I advise everyone to tread with caution.

BREAKING: The Biggest Canadian Coin Exchange - QuadrigaCX -- loses 67,000 $ETH !! Due to Coding Error - Funds Locked in an Executable Contract Now!

I would not use that site or recommend them to anyone. You should stick to the exchanges that have a better track record like Kraken if you need fiat converted to BTC. Then use Poloniex or Bittrex if you want to trade BTC for altcoins.

All of them would be asking for the same ID verification anyway.

Bitfinex is (or was) a good exchange, They ask for verification only if you work as an organisation. But they had some issues at the last days so  be carefull while using them. I've never seen the websiye that you gave and wouldn't recommend to use their services.
Dont hesitate to send your ID to the popular exchanges (if you are not doing any illegal stuff). First of all they are gettimg bigger profit frim the exchange while the ID picture worth max 50$. Also your personal data can be already stolen for example by your bank o by the organization that issued your ID.

Ok I was wanting to sign up to some more crypto exchanges and buying sites but I got freaked out by the ID verification process
as don't want to get scammed etc

I am in Canada, so was looking at various sites good for Canadians

one site recommended was https://www.quadrigacx.com/ or quadrigacx

anyone use this site?

I made a profile but had id verification of taking a photo of a selfie with your DL and submitting other forms of id . so no privacy

just figure I ask if anyone else here use them and should I trust with with my identify information etc? personal? thanks

otherwise anyone know of sites where Canadians can buy crypto with privacy?
