There might not be need for that because scammers are very wise and skillful in their act but there are some review websites where you can detect whether a site is a scam or not e.g scambuster.org

Somebody should create simple Google style search engine, which just has directory of all the known scam site lists in it,
and the site should be simple as google, with just search box, and when site url entered it shows if its in the directory or not,
and with function to add new sites by visitors.

I know there are sites that show scam lists and this forum too has a list, but they are hard to look at and most poeple dont see them
what do you think about this?

I think it would not be necessary to create a directory with all scam sites, you can read how it works ponzi sites and based on these informations you need not waste your time investing in ponzi sites like: double bitcoin, cloud mining, MLM, Matrix, HYIP. ..

Seek to invest in legitimate site and are not ponzi, even if a site is legitimate you should make an investigation on the site.

A site that the owner hides his real name has clear signs that you should not invest.

A website not show mining equipment has clear signs that are liars and thieves

A website not show actual address of the company's headquarters has clear signs that the company does not exist.

A site that was registered in the UK has clear signs of being scam, just ignore when you see a website registered in the UK and domain registered in panama with anonymity

Here goes all the bad list: http://www.badbitcoin.org/thebadlist/index.htm.. However the site doesn't has ny sorts of search box but you can still use the find function to find specific sites on your own so not so much a big deal.
