I see many that everyone agrees on doing a research (which is undeniable) but were trying to help each other here, I’d love to know what do you think the main points of a research should be taken into account?
Research is a must...we don't just go on the market and pick this one and this one without having any background check of this project will have the potential otherwise, you just pick the wrong one. The point here is that to know which coin could able to give you what you wanted to happen after buying. Even to say that you are aiming for a short-term deal, however, it should still be making this.

Approximate holding times, etc.
A week, 1 month, or depending on the trend. Some people just look into the profit and if they contented enough, they will sell it. You can do it the same.

Research in a way that you need to know if the altcoin that you're investing is worth to take the risk.

If the teams are very much familiar with the project that they're working and if they're working hard on it. There is no one that has been involved in any of scams before.

Holding times depends on your goal, it could be for a week, a month or for years.

I can already tell the pump and dump scheme is being used mainstream right know aka Elon Musk, i feel like whenever he wants to sell his cheaply purchased coins he would just make a hint or two then kaboom, the price goes up, but i also feel like riding the train along with the influence could make some nice returns speaking that doge fell to 0.26 then doubled within a matter if days, any discussions about doge?

A short term investment are not really a guarantee. They are good for fast return though but hard to achieve. I noticed there are very cheap coin, even as they are shitcoins but you can be lucky to get such hype. You may join some telegram pump groups but those groups too have inner members that won't give direct information about when a coin will pump. However you consider top coins to invest if bitcoin is high.

My humble suggestion to you in this bitcoin world: never look for short-term returns as it is usually coming up big risks.

Invest into bitcoin and hold it for years and you will become rich given that you are investing a decent amount right now. One assurance I can give you right away here: you may invest any amount into bitcoin today and you will enjoy at least 10x returns in next four years for sure.

Short-term investment is literally equivalent to trading; there are only 50% chances for you to get profits.

Indeed, that is the most important thing with your research, you will know how about short-term investments with the selected coins.
As well as technical analysis that is commonly used by many people in short-term investments, so I think it's difficult whether the short-term investment is only months or when the price rises and then sells? It is also different from daily trading, so extra analysis is needed that must be considered in this study.

The most priority is to have some research first before investing in the short term and as an expert says, don't take too much risk and make sure that you aren’t taking more risk than you can afford IMO.

Pump and dump groups are very common as of now and it might the best to avoid them as much as possible especially in the Telegram group.  Create your own analysis either it is fundamental or technical analysis.

There are too many altcoins that have potential in a short-term investment, is some reason, I must go in trending coin not made by the pump and dump but has a real use by the community.  For example, a coin of a well-known trading exchange.

It's seem exaggerated ,when I meantion about the Ethereum. But today price change of ethereum will give the best answer.Mostly I suggest my friends to inverse in the Ethereum then to inverse in some less potential altcoin.Less potential altcoin will take your money and give your handful of losses. It only adjusted and rectified by investing or converting such shit coin to Ethereum.

You can join some telegram community and you will get idea from there.
There is also high risk involved. Gather idea from different people and then research about the project yourself

O, but how did you find out about such a game changing update?

Without giving too much away, you pretty much check out what the developers are doing. If you get free advanced information from insiders, then the better (wish I have connections THIS deep).

1. Did some research
2. Found out that a certain upgrade on a certain project would come
3. Bought a decent amount of that certain coin/token
4. Update has been released and announced
5. People on Reddit get too excited, price pumps, wait a bit
6. Sell

That's pretty much how it happens most of the time for me lol. Though a lot less effective today than in 2017.

Im having Ravencoin vibes here that you mentioned reddit  Cheesy
Telegram channel would help, or a crypto community what often remind you next update of projects. News is also a good source. I usually follow coindesk and cointelegraph because their articles are quite deep and academic

If you like hardcore short term investment (which gives you more than 10x ROI), IEO, IDO and ICO are awesome. But careful analysis is must because it is easy for you to fall into a scam project. EX: BSCS has gained more than 9900% since it was sold out
