As a "legit" ebay seller im getting worried by seeing other sellers closed down for needless reasons without a chance to reopen.  Recently ive just seen someone with 100% feedback and many years selling on ebay shut down no reason given. (i guess its a string of defects)

I see people buy ebay accounts.... why? & If ebay shuts you down as a seller is there a work around?

I have not heard of this but i don't ebay. Although I have a friend who does.
The only work around would be these things:

1. New account with new credit cards, new paypal, new contact info. Open in your wifes name LOL

2. Call ebay and threaten to open a lawsuit over it. They respond well to threats of attorneys.

Or you could just... use bitcoin *ba dum tsh*

Lower transaction fees, no chargebacks, free to setup

I've seen a  user with 99% get shut down because of a shipping error which was no ones fault except the delivery service...yet the customer complained to Ebay and sure enough the account was shut down without appeal.  Their custom service is normally okay, not the best and not the worst. At least I haven't had any problems so far.

There's no work around I don't think, unless you can get your partner to open one in their name which is what this particular person did. Eventually, they would have banned so many people they would start a resistance and another ebay like system will pop up and compete with Ebay directly.

most of the time ebay suspends the account, and usually is fixable once you submit documents or talking to a live rep to security/fraud department.

People buy ebay accounts with good feedback and for great money too because they are convinced they can scam for much more the amount they payed, and they are right, I followed some cases on gaming forums where tens of people got scammed by a high rep seller. I think that if they shut you down most of the times is because they suspect something, if you show you're willing to collaborate and send any information they need to restore your account I think your chances are good.

Anyway I think you should have posted in Off-Topic.

Yeah did not know where to post this, and no people are getting shut down with no chance of a restore.

Oh no, I thought they had solid reasons to shut down, as long as you are legit, your account will stay safe.

Nope it seems they are shutting sellers down who even have 100% feedback - i couldnt believe it, check the ebay forums and see topics in business section etc, see for yourself.

My account if currently fine, but i dont trust ebay yet it still has the greatest market share no?
