It's at least a 12 hour drive one way. That poor cat is going to need a couple of pit stops some food, water and possibly an overnight stay at a pet-friendly motel.
Why don't you save the poor kitty the trauma of a long boring drive through the middle of nowhere Canada listening to a Stompin' Tom marathon on the radio and fly the cat live cargo to Vancouver?

Look, I'd do it myself for the money you're offering but it would mean driving from Vancouver to Edmonton and back to Vancouver as opposed to Edmonton to Vancouver and back to Edmonton as you requested.
