You can use escrow services

Sent a few messages with the hopes of buying a coin or two and have been met extreme uncertainty due to being new. While it makes sense to a degree, it's kind of paradoxical; you don't trade with me because I'm new, but the only way to build trust is through trade. What am I to do?

Ps. Should anyone reading this have a coin to sell, I'm looking to buy 1 BTC for $100 Moneypak or paypal.

Thanks for reading.

Trade with escrow.  Build your trust that way.

Yeah, escrow is how I'll go for the time being. I see no problem with it. I just need to find out who the trusted middlemen are.

Well people are going to trust you if you have been around for a long time and are active on the forums.
