Just imagine what would be the reaction if a Chinese minister were tweeting about dissolving the US congress and Trump stepping down.

I'm not sure if isn't happening already and we don't know it. Grin
It's obvious that everything has been made depending on the preferences/ agenda that any government has. Now Trump has found something that he can use against China (and has prepared it for a long time now), tomorrow EU can do it as well to his administration or the opposite. Politics can use everything and nothing as long as it suits them and companies are their big weapons.
Are you serious? In everywhere else minister doing this would be front page news, so i am pretty sure we knew about it.

Also Trump is saying now that he is 'most likely' giving TikTok 90-day extension to avoid ban. I don't believe he even bans it. Joe Biden left the execution of that for Trump's responsibility, and trump needs to be the strong man here, which he isn't. Also his base hates "big government" interfering their lives, and this would be perfect example of big government controlling their citizens.

The government of the US has been making things difficult for Tik-Tok as it is officially considered as belonging to a foreign nation's government, namely the Chinese Comunist Party. To be honest, it seems true in terms of facts, and the platform has the potential to show content that may be biased of provides a propagandistic image of China.

But, what about X-Tweetter? Elon Musk is now part of the US government and he has been know to use X-Tweeter to try to de-estabilise foreign governments, and spread half-truths and disinformation:

Elon Musk Has a Strange Fixation With Trolling Britain
In a barrage of posts rife with misinformation, he revived questions about a child sex abuse scandal, vilified the prime minister and defended a jailed far-right agitator.

I think there is a clear case to ban X-tweeter in Europe, exactly for the same reasons Tik-Tok may end up banned in the US. It is being used by a foreign government, it is biased and his owner is trying to dissolve the UK pairlament.

Just imagine what would be the reaction if a Chinese minister were tweeting about dissolving the US congress and Trump stepping down.
