The total supply. I would raise it so something like a two billion. So that when people use it when going out to the stores, they won't have to deal with decimals.

I totally agree. If there were, let's say, LESS scammers, I think a larger number of people would be interested in bitcoin and therefore it could develop faster.

The number of scammers is the one that I'll change about bitcoin. Scammers are using bitcoin mainly because their customer cannot dispute the payment. It's an advantage for all of us but it turns out to be an advantage in the scammer's side as well. I believe that getting rid of all these scammers will create a newbie friendly environment for all of us because they wouldn't be afraid to try bitcoin since there aren't scammers. In reality, that can't actually happen.

There is no change I need in Bitcoin. This becomes a perfect cryptocurrency in the digital world. But only thing I am expecting from Bitcoin is our government will accept this Bitcoin as a legal currency, and we will get a chance to use Bitcoin in the real world. I don't know when my dream comes true.

I like bitcoin as it is, I really don't want to change anything in bitcoin. Because it is already perfect Crypto currency, only need to publicity for bitcoin. That defeats the purpose of openness and transparency. Besides, each year, $/Tb decreases, and right now Western Digital is selling out 4 terabyte hard drives. Also, if your problem is the download speed of the ledger, more and more ISP are improving their shit services to improve the speed they can deliver. As the storage space of the ledger accumulates over time, the technology is already or also advancing at the same time.

If there's one thing I can change about btc, it would be the confirmation times. 10 min/ block is kinda long wait for someone who rushes and this world is a fast-paced world now.

For me bitcoin is perfect.  I cannot think of any single way or single thing to change it.  It is perfectly planned, programmed, and executed.  It is well organized, every aspect of it were intricately designed.  I would suggest to add more bitcoinsnin circulation today.  So that many people will be expose and have the chance to have one bitcoin each at least.

I guess if I were given the chance to change one thing about bitcoin, it will be its reputation. I feel like it's the only thing that makes people uninterested about crypto-currencies. Everything that is done online or is earned online is looked as a scam by average people. That's how quick they judge crypto-currencies.

Bitcoin has been in tons of articles about deep web. People are scared of the deep web and a lot of shady things happen there. It only happened that bitcoin gives you that anonymity privilege that's why people in the deep web use it. But that anonymity privilege can actually be used in a good way.

I am not as genius as satoshis but he left us with his invention so we are the one who will be making progress for it. If there would be one I want to change with bitcoin it is the ledger. Dispose those very far transaction to give more space.

If I could change one thing about the BTC, I would like to change it so that the BTC can be more easily used for any real transaction, such as buying food or snack with BTC offline or can be called real.

Well if i could change one thing about bitcoin, maybe there are two things that i would like to change, the confirmation time and transaction fee, bitcoin would be perfect if the confirmation time is faster, while the transaction fee the fee should be determined and equated to all transactions, once i sent the transaction it instantly confirmed, however tansactions can be processed without fees, but trying to send free transactions can require waiting days or weeks.

If could able to change things  about on bitcoin then i  would  like  to change the mining  difficulty soo that  i could able to mine more bitcoins and would   gain decent profits because  as of today's asic miners are  powerful enough to mine   decent  bitcoins in one day.

Changing something in bitcoin is not needed for me but for mining i would like to see if some transfers has lower or no mining fees get mined after certain number of blocks till they have block reward.

I really hate to see this block reward 12.5 BTC and mining fee is approx below 1 bitcoin on average in such scenario most miners are refusing to include low mining fees transaction, which might orphan the bitcoins and reduce bitcoins in circulation & loss for the sender. so we need to force miners to include low or no fees transactions in the block within a certain block numbers.

They are not including transaction for few sathoshi mining fee not included and they do get get block reward for that. As users we are forced to add fee for them (not by rules) and also we allow them to get block reward.

I dont think bitcoins needed to be changed as it is almost perfect but there is something needed to improve ,The only problem is the time of confirmations of transactions that would be need to change to speed up the confirmations and the bitcoin amounts to be unlimited mining .

For me,if given the chance to change one thing about btc i think the transaction processing speed. Confirmation at the speed of light haha I think more stores will be sprouting anywhere,accepting bitcoin. No more waiting,after scanning QR codes and pressing SEND, voila!

If ever i have given the chance to change one thing about btc, maybe its the transaction fees. No more fees for every transactions haha and increased the value of the bitcoin. But i think transaction fees will never be removed, so far for now there's nothing things to be changed because i think its perfect, nothing to change

I would make the satoshi to come back and explain to us why he has been disappeared and tell us more about bitcoin and make a documentary about the bitcoin.

I think the bitcoin system is now quite nice I do not think there needs to be revamped. I really enjoy using bitcoin and
no problems whatsoever at this time, perhaps only a confirmation, but it does not really bother me ?

The only thing I would like to change about bitcoin is the delay for confirmation time.

"Removing the confirmation system" "making it for being able using a zero transaction without double spending." too many the another word about bitcoin are needing a change. especially in the times for every confirmation. bitcoin are already safer. and for developing the btc trading I guess none.

Out of all the issues we currently see with Bitcoin, which, may I add, numbers only a few, I think that I would only want to change the transaction times, as I have said numerous amounts of times before, and probably mentioned in some places beyond this forum. I would take a position on the block size debate as well, however I don't know enough about it to justify or decide an opinion for that.

i think the only thing that i will really want to change about bitcoin is to change the time that required for conformation,  if this issue every sold i am hopeful that then bitcoin will become more and more popular and will become more reliable and stronger that its previous position.

I want to be reassured when I store my Bitcoins either in online wallet or in exchange wallet, because hackers won't stop their attempts, and a lot of people lost their money because of vulnerabilities in Bitcoin exchanges, therefore I think security issues are the biggest concern of Bitcoin users.

My choice would be to make it safer or more known.  It is a tossup between them.  If it is more safe, then more people may feel secure in using it, yet, if you make it more known, others will help make it safe.  Hard decision.

I would probably change nothing. I'm not saying that bitcoins is perfect, it's not perfect at all, but things that have to be changed aren't that huge to be changed asap

You cannot do anything with price because there is always a demand and different between buyers and sellers so I don't think there would be a time when neither the sellers nor the buyers would be demanding btc and also there would never be a price where both buyer and seller agrees.

Yes there are no major problems involved in bitcoins yet so I  don't think that anything should be changed in it and I am much satisfied with the benefits that it is providing me.

Enabling GPU's mining will be a very good idea indeed but you mention that it is not possible, to me nothing is not possible in this world, it just a matter of innovation. Someone can one day invent a way that can make the mining with GPU's very possible and friendly. Now people mine new algorithm altcoins with GPU and converting back into bitcoin. So, now itself virtually possible

Well, technically if you see if you would remove confirmation then why would people mine bitcoins ? I mean they receive reward and hence they are mining and so all the new bitcoins would not get mined. I see from most of the posts that the confirmation waiting time is a issue, maybe people start accepting BTC-E codes everywhere

If that is ever done in bitcoin then it will make bitcoin a complete currency and after that there will be no issue related to bitcoins and people would use them more conveniently.

Yes, I too would  try to make the confirmation time required to be lesser that what it is right now. We need lesser confirmation time and faster transaction to bring in more people to bitcoin. I am believe that in future bitcoin will work out something to put an end to this problem.

I Want to Make The Transactions Confirmation Time Free and the Transaction Confirms Instantly and the Reciever Does not Need to Wait to Use that Funds....

The only thing I would change would be transaction confirmation time. I don't really need payments/transfers to be instantaneous, although that of course would be ideal, I would just like to have a definitive time window in which transactions are completed, like say anything between 0s to 20 mins maximum. It is difficult to use Bitcoin for business deals because you can never be sure when the other party will receive the funds.
Off-chain transactions are not ideal (at least to me) because they take away from the purity and decentralized nature of the blockchain and introduce new potential avenues of attack but should be fine for now until a better solution is found.

Delay in confirmation time is really a big issue with bitcoin and most of the users are complaining for the same as its very irritating and frustrating to wait for a long time when you are in urgent need of cash.

I d change this anonymity issue. It attracts scammers, ponzi pumpers and similar scum. Also there s a lot of talk how BTC should replace old and archaic banking system. With this anonymity, it s never going to take place. How do you expect big investors or Wall Street accept this technology when you can hide and run away without any consequences.

If I could change any one thing of bitcoin then I would like to bring a platform of something where there will be equal distribution of bitcoins from the first bitcoin itself so even founder could not take undue advantage of such invention. I wish there shouldn’t be a gap between a group of people who have too much bitcoins and remaining people who have close to nothing. I would like to revert unfair distribution of bitcoins although I respect the efforts of early adopters.

I think the most people here are already have the same thing. The issue about security have been reduced. The only problem is time of transaction that long time enough. I am realy sure that bitcoins brilliant will come sooner becouse faster transaction is very convenient. I think supermarkets will accept bitcoin as the payment if the transaction is faster. Virtual transaction is more practicaly than conventional transaction by fiat. It is the same with transaction wuth credit card but it is more cheap fee. So bitcoin is have so much advantage.

Agreed! I will make confirmation time as faster as possible if I had the power to do so! Recently I got a bunch of transactions that had a single confirmation after more than 15 hours. That so horrible for me. And yes, if we can get instant confirmation from our transactions I bet more and more people will use it especially the offline stores all over the world.

If i can changed i will asked for a faster transaction, if someone can develop a faster transaction, we can use bitcoin for a local store, it will be a perfect currency to purchase things online and offline

I only want faster transaction times, and if that can be accomplished then I think we would have succeeded in making a great currency with a lot of potential to be used in "normal" life which is completely outside of the limitations of the government and the bad things that go along with fiat currencies.

The only thing i would change would be the time i had joined into bitcoin, sorry i had to say those, really bitcoin instant transactions would be great but would them be safety enought to avoid hackers attack, because the current system avoids hackers attacks and any attack without 51% total hash.

I don't think that issue will be ever resolved as its a problem with bitcoin since its inception and if that would that would have been resolved then it would have been done much earlier and even in future we will face the same issue again and again.

Make bitcoin GPU-mining friendly... Of course that's not possible but that's what I'd love to mine with my GPU's.

Bitcoin is already safe and the developers are trying to make it more safer and stronger but the only thing which I want is an instant transaction of bitcoin so if I will be able to change something in it then I will like to make its transactions instant.

I'm not saying that the transaction speed is slow but it is not faster as other crypto like Doge or Ethereum which takes few seconds or a minute.

I think if more miners will live to mine it can also speeding up the transaction because when the miner s9 was newly release its speed up the transaction but right now its not the same as before that the transaction is fast.. it takes  a long minutes before you can some confirmations  before recognize by trading site or any sites..

Actually if you make it possible that people earn btc easily then either after a short period it would become difficult since all easy money would be looted or after a certain amount of time bitcoins would become dead since everyone now has enough bitcoins and do not feel any need to buy them, so only selling orders increase as a result the price decreases.

I would make it faster. That's the only thing it lacks. Other than that, it is perfect. OK, It is not perfect maybe but it is enough for me as what it is. Some people say it is not anonymous enough but i don't agree. It is fine.

I would not change anything about bitcoin, I don`t think I`m smart enough to do it. For me it`s enough that I`m able to use all benefits that bitcoin afford to us ordinary people. Bitcoin is perfect as it is, why some people always have the need to change things around us.
And from comments I see that people complain mostly on confirmation time, well that will be solved with the time. I don`t expect things to happen in day or two, bitcoin already give us so much, at least we need to have a bit patience and wait some time, actually that is all we need to do.

But actually there is no solution then to wait and wait only. I personally if given a chance to change something in bitcoins, then I would first of all make bitcoin's transactions even more secure by keeping no database of hat transactions were made, they would be only visible after u enter the address involved and its private key ( one side at least )

I would have made the confirmations a bit quicker maybe by paying more to miners ? I am not a technical person, but as I see most people complain that they are upset with confirmation time, so I would definitely work on that factor first and then maybe I would work on developing a wallet that's secure and easy. Changing bitcoin would most likely change bitcoin in a way that would have killed it off in the early adoption stages.
Its like life,we live in regrets and what if scenarios and you lose perspective of what you currently have! Altering the hard times in ones life would alter the person you became and you could be a totally different person by dropping one bad time in your life.
Bitcoin changes may sound nice now that bitcoin has broke through the early stage but back then some of these changes would have killed it.

If I could cange one thing about BTC I would be modifying it's confirmation time, It has been very frustrating and actually one of the flaw of BTC why it is not practical to use in an ever growing business industry.  Business Industry as we all know is in a fast phase where the slower you get the bigger  your loss in terms of trading.

If i had a chance to develop bitcoin, i would make bitcoin more secure. At present, many hackers have stolen a lot of bitcoins since 2009 and i do not like this at all. I want to avoid anyone trying to obtain bitcoin in the illegal ways. This would make bitcoin even better

Exactly its very frustrating to keep on waiting for transaction to get confirmed when we need money badly and even after adding higher fees its taking same time to get confirmed.

Until we get confirmations under a minute, Bitcoin will only be used online.
(Unless you can load it on a prepaid Visa/ MasterCard etc.)

I do not have programming knowledge, but if I am able to change something in Bitcoin, I would change the total Bitcoins number to make it more than 21MBTC, because Bitcoin everyday find new users, after many years Bitcoin will be used much more than now, and increasing the total coins may faciliate the deal with Bitcoin.

If it would be up to me to change something or like to watch is confirmation timing. Sometimes it becomes very hard to believe that biggest innovation like Bitcoin is also showing some kind of lacks in some features. Those moments when you are hurry and want a fast transaction and it takes more than an hour gives you insane feelings. I don't have any other thing to be changed at general.

I f I have to change anything I would change transaction history and final balance shown at blockchain of particular address. No point of showing it to general public.

I think that one thing that needs changed in bitcoin is the length of the address you need to have to get paid, there needs to be a simple address and the real address hidden the background.

Well, after being in the path of Hurricane Matthew with no electricity for 5 days, ID have to say one of the biggest failings of bitcoin is that it might as well not exist outside of a wifi field. As I keep the majority of my holdings in BTC at any given time, I was lucky to have a small emergency bundle of cash. Although I will say my debit card was equally useless during the time, to be fair.

I think, Bitcoin doesn't needs any change in it. But, if still need change something, sure I'll choose transaction without fees (even for a big transaction) and increase the the number of Bitcoins can be mined!

If I could I would change the speed of transactions. Bitcoin system is already pretty safe but people with their behaviour male it unsafe (keeping coins on exchangers or  cloud wallets etc.) but the hardest thing is to influence on people. And I would remove these cloud minig fraud scheems.

Probably easier to get into mining so anyone can do it, literally anyone.  Couple years ago there was more of a buzz around mining and creating your own money.  Now mining has become so specialized its not any longer for the common folk.

I don't think there is anything to be changed in bitcoin but it would be much easier and satisfactory if confirmation time gets improved in near future as that is the only problem majority of users are facing.

sorry but 0.0001 vs 1000 are just as relevant as each other. bitcoin should not care about only the rich.
spam should not be defined purely on someone spending 0.0001. but instead defined by rich people doing 1,000,000 transactions of 0.0001.(true spam)
the cure for this is limiting sigops/number of outputs/inputs. so that big holders cannot make bloated transactions. and instead have to do smaller transactions in batches. which are delayed by a batch per block so that there is ampl capacity for others.

That's true bitcoin doesn't need any change or major improvement in it at this stage as its already been benefiting in many ways and whatever qualities it holds is simply enough for me.

everybody wants a more exciting price which is also preferably only a rising price and never comes down.
but sadly this is not something we can change and it is more of a investors decisions to buy or sell and make it volatile or stable.

Wrong. An AI implies that there is algorithm that decides autonomously what kind of users are entitled to use Bitcoin. It could be implemented as some kind of malignance / dumbness filter that is established via neural network learning and detects certain usage patterns that belong to socialist and fiat money speculators ("traders").

For example, socialists are likely to hold minuscule amounts of Bitcoin and have a high probability to generate spam transactions, paying insufficient fees. The redesigned Bitcoin could also feature a bitcointalk forum scanner that automatically links certain addresses with socialist / bigblock propaganda and/or trading drivel. In turn, spending from identified addresses would be blocked and all funds would be automatically redistributed as additional miner rewards for newly generated blocks.

I would want someone to make it ASIC proof and for everyone to be able to mine. It would have been great to have household items mining bitcoins, like the processor in your TV and computer. We would have had less centralization in the mining scene, and mining farms would have had to fork out much more money to mine on a huge scale. ^smile^

First of all a new, redesigned Bitcoin should have some kind of AI to ensure that socialists and fiat money speculators are excluded from usage...

Joking aside, I think the most important aspect that I'd like to see being changed is confidentiality of transactions. Right now, Bitcoin payments are only pseudonymous and once addresses get deanonymized it is very easy to reconstruct the entire transaction history of a user. It's also problematic in regard to Bitcoin's fungibility, because blacklisting of coins could be easily established by tracking coins of "bad origin".

I really hope that Bitcoin improves in the privacy field, because it may become necessary for its survival when governments and central banks are getting desperate, seeing their fiat scam monetary system collapse...

I would change that the price would not be that stable anymore because with the price being stable bitcoin becomes really boring and there is not much to do at this point. I would not know how I would do it but I would make sure that the value of the bitcoin would change more often.
You then give people the chance to make some more money more often.

bitcoin is as safe as it gets. Cold Storage means maximum security you can ever hope for.
