Let's say you became very wealthy because the bitcoin/crypto you held went to the moon. You are now a millionaire. But, you have to move to another nation. Which would you move to and why?

I'm especially interested to hear from those living in the USA.

That's a tough one. Western world becoming more and more buried in bureaucracy and regulations, China become more and more dystopian, SE Asia is getting more expensive and introducing more and more restrictions for expats.. 20 years ago I would probably say USA, but now? Honestly, no idea.

if I were to become a rich man and a millionaire, I would still live in my own country. the reason is simple, i.e. i love my country.

Belize, first. Canada second because I like the mountains. Both are common law nations.

Belize is like the old West in the USA... without the guns and the craziness.

Canada is similar in parts of it.

Both of these nations, and the USA, will see a drop in government regulations when the people start exercising their common law rights.

I’d move to a nation that has 0% taxes on bitcoin, specifically 0% capital gains taxes on bitcoin. I have researched it thoroughly for future reference.

There are many, some listed below.

I've lived in America for a couple of months and the majority of people who never left the USA even for a one day were convinced that America is the best of the best. I personally would like to live in Japan for a while.

The only reason I can leave my country for another is if something like that of Afghanistan issue happened, I pray my country doesn't get to that level, since my job is online 24/7 I dont need to change my country.

I can say otherwise. If I have bitcoins and my country is not very friendly to them, but I have a sufficient amount of bitcoins, I will certainly prefer those countries where they will not build barriers for me to own them. As for America, I will not go there, even if they offer me all the conditions for a good life in this country.

From what you say, it is not clear to me whether you would have to move because you have not declared the bitcoin you have and you are looking for a more tax-friendly country where they will not take a significant percentage of your profits, or whether it is a simple move, without taking this into account.

For me, there would be two important factors to take into account: the place should be safe and have an acceptable climate. Although if you have a lot of profits you could travel from country to country and see which one you like best.

If you're a millionaire, if it's just a million, you won't be able to afford much.

In my case I am not sure but I think I would choose to travel to several places first, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean and some others and then I would see which one I would choose.

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
Is that a must if you become a millionaire because of crypto? As far as I know, most who are into crypto wanted anonymity, unless that country isn't crypto friendly, you really need to go elsewhere. Here in the Philippines, we're more like in the grey area, so, most likely I'll prefer to stay, plus the benefit of cheap cost of living compare to other nations.

Even though I have wealth and I became a millionaire, and I was offered very luxurious facilities by other countries, and I was also praised in other countries, and they also made it easier for me to mine and invest bitcoin, but I would never be interested to settle in another country, because I really love my homeland, I am ready to sacrifice for my homeland, because there are many beautiful memories that I have been through in my homeland.

you do not have to move to a different nation.

some people simply use debitcards which specialise in cheap exchange/no exchange rate fee's
so that you can travel around and not have to pay large fee's

its like cell phones
where some call plans in your native area are high. some use a sim card from another country that have CHEAP international call plans. but use it locally, that way they use the international call plan locally to save on the local costs.

..
but with that said. when its time to exit bitcoin. i will continue to be a tourist. spending certain lengths of time in different countries. mainly i will base it on the temperature/climate/season of he area.  not to hot, not too cold

mainly in countries were even a couple dollars can buy you a days living costs. to maximise value

i would have several properties in different countries. rather than one massive mansion in one location
