I'm locking this thread I'm sure by now everybody here who is active in gambling discussion is fully aware of the behavior of that guy it's not right he plays tricks on us and abuses his privilege as the owner of the topic, if he created another moderated it's your option or choice if you participate on that discussion

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
I thought he is just very strict in his thread as I am one of those who have been deleted post , when i come to completely check my post there i am sure that it is On topic yet it was deleted .
it is a self moderated thread so it is fine deleting which post you believe is not bringing connection to the topic  but now? as i checked the thread back? double digits deleted posts and accounts?
I think that is an abused of power as thread starter.

This guyZarfund  had 2 or three moderated threads on this section I'm sure my post that he deleted was within the topic I seldom get my topic deleted this guy deleted my post on his moderated threads  I'm ok with it but upon checking on his trust rating because it's showing red I'm surprised to see there are tags from two posters that I think are good posters, he systematically deletes posts, I think its an act of revenge for those who give him red tag or supported the tag I don't know how many of us here get their posts deleted their posts even though they are within the topic

I support the creation of self-moderated topics, but I have seen that this type of topic is becoming more and more common and without any plausible justification for it.
Deleting posts is highly harmful for those who need these posts to be able to achieve certain goals in subscription campaigns and suddenly have three or more deleted posts.
I generally steer clear of self-moderated threads that are started by new or low-reputation people.
Thanks for your alert!

I tried to improve my posting behavior and take the time to be within the topic but three of my posts are deleted I even gave him merit for creating a topic worth discussing, it really is a waste of time and effort, it's okay to delete my posts it could be my behavior but after reading this thread it's not the mods action it's about the behavior of Zarfund, I just take note of this and see if he created another moderated thread,  it's not right playing tricks on us.

Sorry, it happened by mistake. I don't know what's wrong with me. I am a bad. Please forgive me. Sorry to everyone again.

Sorry again

honestly today when I saw this:

I was really sad, I thought: I spent my time giving advice and you just deleted that advice even though it wasn't even spam, I posted it so you could learn something, I gave my help but you just deleted the post. It's your right to do that, but please whenever you create something thread try to read and take people's advice as something people are doing to help you, because you were the one who asked the questions and people in good faith responded to you help

Thanks for the heads up.

-snip-

It is highly unlikely you did that by mistake, on the other hand, it would make sense if you had some grudge against those who supported a flag against you. Do not open new threads because that could be considered spam and it would make things worse.

Just behave yourself as the adult we all assume you are, this section is about gambling and there is no need to bring your personal drama upon us.  Wink

I agree, from now on he just has to behave well and not bring his personal dramas.

That won't work anymore it will be spamming this forum has a rule you cannot create the same topic again you can create another topic all you want but it should not be the same topic again, it should be different, so far none of my posts are deleted but it caused harmed on the posts of good posters I've never encountered this kind of attitude here if you are not exposed you will continue to play people on this forum.

Sorry, it happened by mistake.

Why do you make topics and then come back to delete posts, but you don't partake in the conversation? What's the point of asking a question if you don't want to see the answers and never return to leave a comment, just start exactly the same thread all over again? Do you expect people to come to the second thread and repost what they wrote in the first one?

I'm curious, what's your reasoning? Do you hope to get merited for that question or something, since you didn't you restart the thread thinking that maybe you'll get some if it's not moderated?

I had my replies which are on topic, also deleted, I don't mind though since it is his right to delete any reply to his moderated topic.  It is unethical but it is allowed.

When I check the threads created by that user, I wonder why so many post are being deleted because we can see the actual numbers if the thread is moderated and it is being shown above. I don't believe that all of those posts are off-topic because the topic posted in the OP is also not hard to understand and to answer but it seems I am right because of the feedback that he is getting on his profile and also here by the OP.

Any reply that goes against his ideas is deleted especially when you call a person who is jobless and "pretending to have no skill" to be lazy is automatically deleted.  I have all my replies deleted since I capitalized that there is no person that has no skill,  and if that person doesn't look for a job for the reason that he has no skill, is just another lazy person.

Just because these posts are getting deleted in gambling discussion does that mean this thread will remain here, you need to move this to the Reputation board or anywhere it is deemed appropriate for discussion and not here. Just my two cents. I doubt if the user will ever respond here at all, well, we can at least wait for his side.
The OP already knows this and in fact he also gave a note above that he will move this soon in the appropriate board. In the meantime it's only temporary here and besides the topics still has a relation to gambling. To be honest I have the same impression as the OP.

You do not have to create the same topic again, just move the post to meta or archival and move it back to gambling. It would change from self-moderated to moderated.

Yes, it should be, but this is just for the awareness I will be locking this thread within 24 hours if the mods haven't locked it yet by that time everyone here will be warned so their effort and time will not be wasted and we can move on.

Thanks for telling this to everyone so that one should be careful while posting on his thread. I still fail to understand why he deleted the posts but then no one can question him as it is his decision to delete any post from self-moderated threads, that's why we call them self moderated ones.
The best we can do is to avoid those few threads created by him.

I have one deleted post in his thread last Sunday, I do not really care about it ofc as I have to be ready for it once I decided to make post in self-moderated topic. https://prnt.sc/oQWHLOvwROEO
At first I thought that he does not like my post or he thinks that my post is out of the topic so he deleted my post in his topic but after knowing this fact that there are many other users experienced the same as me then I started to think that there is a hidden reason why he did it.
Although it does not sound fair if he deleted some posts, but he has the right to do so as the creator of the self-moderated topic.
Coming up to the red trust feedback due to his action, I think it is a bit too much as IMO the trust feedback is not for something like this.
Lastly, what we need to do is to avoid any topic by him if we do not want to get our post deleted.

Thanks for the heads up but I agree with Oshosondy, it doesn't hurt to hear his side at the very least if he decides to post here in this thread but then again your thread your rules.

He could simply create a thread of his own as a response to this thread if needed but I don't think it'll go to that point since he's just deleting way too many posts.

He can post here anytime if he can give a good reason I have this feeling he is doing this for revenge he deleted one of my posts I'm ok with that I experienced that in the past and expect any of my posts to be deleted, sometimes we are in a bad day that we cannot keep up with the topic and short of the right answer, but I have never encountered a thread started deleting so many posts randomly is he playing with us knowing that we are trying to keep up with the conversation and he just wasting our time and effort, sometimes it took me 30 minutes to create a reply I need to check the discussion to avoid the topic to becoming redundant.

I was going to bring up this topic last week when I noticed he deleted my comment in his thread but I thought I should chill. I am glad that coin-investor brought this up. Henceforth I will desist from sharing my opinion on his post. I find such a behaviour quite strange. On the other habd, I agree with Oshosondy to hear him out if ever he would.

Thank you for making this thread, I thought about warning other users as well but in the end didn't do anything. On Friday last week I also noticed that two of my posts got deleted. It's been several months since any of my posts got deleted and having two get deleted on the same time made me curious. Both of the posts were in self moderated threads of him. After checking his profile I saw his many scam accusations, it's kind of sad that with so many scam reviews there was no warning when posting in his thread, I wouldn't have posted on the first place. He is the first person in 2 years I put on my ignore list to not make the same mistake again and post in his threads. Only after ignoring him I saw that he has many more threads here in the gambling section.

If not a ban, could we at least get global ignores for all user-posts or a mechanism for denying users with a certain amount of negative trust the freedom to create topics?

That would be a good idea, or atleast a big warning in red like you see with new users.

A Bitcoiner chooses. A slave obeys.
Not only is this guy, Zarfund, a complete troll who deletes posts randomly, he is also a scammer who tried to scam people out of their money. At some point we need to set bans on scammers like him. Not just bans but IP bans. They might do nothing for someone with a VPN but it will clean up some of the trash thats scamming around on this forum. At some point leaving negative trust feedback really does nothing. And newbies still read his topics without understanding the kind of person he is.

I noticed that I commented on some of his threads, and at first I was a bit hesitant because in the self-moderated threads, they can delete your post without having to give any explanation, but I didn't have them deleted.

I had this thread moderated no worry I will not delete posts as long as it is within the topic, I had it moderated to keep him out on this topic
You do not have to keep him out of this topic, let him also have free speech if he has anything good to talk about the reason he deleted your post. But I do not think he would have any good reason too though, but making this kind of topic to be moderated by a moderator is better.

I share Oshosondy's view. Let him say something if he wants to. Although seeing how unreliable he is and what he has done of deleting posts arbitrarily or because of some mania he has, I think it's better to ignore him and not comment on his threads.

I think everyone should avoid any self moderated by unknown newbies in the future since he's just a troll.

This is some of his topic:
1. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.60675159  (22 posts by 19+ users deleted.)
2. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.60685497  (46 posts by 37+ users deleted.)
3. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.60690320  (17 posts by 17+ users deleted.)

I mean his post isn't even a high quality post, he just create a two liner short sentence lol. I wonder what kind of replies he expect since it's just a common discussion that doesn't have a correct or wrong answer.

Since he have an active flag, I think it can make anyone to think twice to post in his topic.

He deleted two of my posts in two different threads that he made, but it's okay for me.
Maybe he did that self-moderated thread for that reason so that if he doesn't like the opinion of other people he could just instantly delete it.
It looks like he didn't like a lot of it.  Cheesy What happened was he locked that thread and then deleted it one by one.

Thanks for the warning though, I won't be sharing any of my opinions in his self-moderated threads. Maybe if he comes up with a normal one then I might try one more time.

Deleting a post without giving any reason is not a good practice because it could even affect the morale of the member negatively. But he/she should be given a fair hearing because he might have his reason for his actions. He needs to be corrected by the members of the forum if his intentions are not genuine. Please sir, give him the opportunity to air his views.

Thanks for letting me know, at least members who are active in gambling discussions avoid the threads created by that account. For me this is quite important because without you telling us, we will be a little confused if the post is deleted while the post is of sufficient quality. Moderating his thread to delete comments of people he doesn't like is not a great way. It doesn't matter if it's not in the reputation section, because not everyone who is active in gambling discussions always gets into the reputation section. Since it's about gambling and the thread he created in a dedicated section, it would be helpful to see this warning.
