Guys, the reason for 10 IFC transaction fee is to sustain the IFC mining activity. Since the payout halves each month, the IFC payout per block will go down quickly and eventually the mining activity will be sustained by the transaction fees. Although we can wait a few more months before raising the transaction fee (payout per block at 2^17 coins at this time, so it will take another 12 months before it goes to 2^5 or 32 coins per block where 10 IFC transaction fee becomes comparable), the community should not be short-sighted and should think about the future of the IFC. However if more people prefer to postpone the raise of transaction fee, I can do that. I will set up a vote for it shortly.
Please post your opinions. In any case, I will release a new client with more checkpoints in a week (a few days before Sept 1) and we can decide whether we will include fee raising in this version or later.

I think a 1 to 2 IFC miners fee is fair for this coin to maintain Network Hashrate and Mining of this coin.
