There were comments somewhere that NXT will have one year of support and development left before their development team focuses 100% on Ardor. I do not know how true but this should be frowned upon. So what do the NXT whales do with their coins now that they also have Ardor coins too? Surely there is no more incentive in holding NXT anymore once it is abandoned.

I suppose they will announce the date when the Ardor platform is close to launch, some time around Q3 2017. They can't possibly know the date now, it's too early in the development cycle.
I cannot find any Ignis announcement... like the date of distribution for example.
