ICO's is one of the most difficult things to evaluate. Everyone with a little bit of knowledge can conjure up some fancy pdf and
a website and promise you the world. CC's is a scammers paradise, because in most cases it is pseudo-anonymous and you deal with faceless people.

If the people are willing to communicate with you in person {Skype} and you can validate their physical location or premises, you would be in a better position to hunt them down, if they scam you.

Apply common sense and you will be fine. Pro Poker players are smart people and you should be better than the average person, to spot these scammers. ^smile^

Endless Horizons!
There are a few ways to make money on the budgets specified. And i'll be specific on some points an highlight some realities.

1)You can still play card games for bitcoin. it may suit you since that is your skill. just make sure the site isn't a scam. Honestly with your expertise and focus, why change a good thing?

2.)The easiest investment that isn't holding is earning interest at some kind of exchange/ business/ or savings account.
Freebitco.in is an example of a mining business paying you interest for them to invest your bitcoin. Think grass roots market money account.

https://freebitco.in/?r=4783577 if you felt like helping me out here is a refferal link. (this site has a thread on this very forum and is trusted. I highly recommend it and personally have invested in it. PM if you would like my take on it.)

Another site is Bsave which initially teamed up with coinbase but is an independant operation now.

Both sites accrue interest daily. So the more you invest the more you get at a decent rate.

3.)You can lend bitcoin at various levels of risk and interest rates. the most unstable going up to the 15-20% range. But the initial investment for these sites are steep often at 1 bitcoin so a budget of $100's or even $1000's may not cut it.

This is the most lucrative more passive investment.

More Direct methods include:

1.)Holding and trading.
Buy as much as you can low and sell high. Recently a nice time to sell and wait was when the BTC price hit 5000. now you could get 1/5th more at it's current state if you were on the ball.

issues with this option are that you lose passive income opportunities and are truly gambling based on international factors and sound bites. This is an investment broker like situation and is the wild west.

I will say however. that this is often the fastest way to gain more bitcoin if you are on your toes.

2.) With hundreds you may be able to make an extremely sub par mining rig if you so desired.

In conclusion.
I'm in a similar budget constraint situation and am squeaking out small earnings that will grow over time. I'm currently making 5-10 cents a day passively with plans to constantly double this every few months. My second income is forming.

There's an old saying that goes along with one of the points that you touched upon:

"How does one make money on FOREX?  Find 1000 morons and hold a seminar on how to make money trading FOREX markets."

That said, you won't find much good info (that you can trust) on this site.  Most people posting here are both paid to promote ICO's and are completely and totally directed by greed that dictates that they spread the virus that is the Ponzi scheme mentality.  Every now and then you'll find people who post objectively...but for the most part the info here is shit.

If you want to make money in ICO's you will need to do your own research just like any other stock analyst that averages 2-3 hours of sleep per night.  Most ICO ventures will fail...a few will succeed.  It's impossible to tell which is which and what is what....that's why analysts exist in the first place, since one cannot trust anything that they read on the internet without untold time checking and cross-checking information.

I'm a former online poker pro - which in today's world takes an extreme amount of skill to make profitable day by day, table by table (given the amount of knowledge that is out in the game).  Yet, I can thrive in this environment.

So I take my skills of perception out into the cryptoworld.  I am presuming that bitcoin will EXPLODE as well as a handful of other cryptos that we will need and be more important to the world than any other currency has been thus far.  Bitcoin will be bigger than cellphones.  It's a global currency.

I have found some accurate and unbiased articles.   My main goal is to find some good investments that fit my budget (thousands, not hundreds of thousands and up).  I think it's a good idea to gamble on a few for $100 or a few hundred dollars.  The payoff could be multi-millions.  The risk would be a small amount.

Firstly, It's probably rare to find solid investement advice for altcoins? Unless you already have millions or more, then you can likely make more money teaching people to invest than investing yourself.

If I was a poker player, I wouldn't be giving out my strategies - that'd be costing me money, but if I set up an online poker training site (there are many), then I could make way, way more than at the tables - up to several million - however that takes marketing, and dealing with a lot of hate, I could be wrong.  Anyway, it's in part of what has made online poker so tough to beat - training sites.  Even the players who have made millions 5 or more years ago playing online, totally admit they can't beat the same games anymore, and they are just mid-stakes grinders.

Anyway, the point is that if I gave away crappy information or withholding information - then I could still make all the tons of money from running a training site AND make even MORE money from teaching people how to play the wrong way - and I think that's what a lot of people are doing (Pump and dump, telling you to invest in ICO's, etc.)  No?

What gets me most excited about CCs is the global financial freedom that WILL increase (it won't solve poverty, but it will help a lot of people).  What's more exciting than becoming personally rich for me is for there to be FREEDOM in the world.  Where we actually treat each other with respect - that is a Utopia!

And a lot of people are also working against this by being greedy - intentionally, and unintentionally by being blinded by self-greed.  It's fun being rich, but I believe it's universially true that it's more fun when everyone is happy.  Scamming others, lying, withholding info (i.e. Earn free bitcoin now!).  Anything like that is a scam. It's all a waste of our time.

So is it possible to find good info on ICO's?  I'm starting to think the best way is maybe just to start educate myself, since I know what I'm capable of, but I'd still like to learn from others and with others.
