i spoke with them and they said lost , 15,000  gone
what a blow to the heart

Lesson learned the hard way i guess. From now on stop using any third party wallets as they don't give any access to users private keys so technically the coins aren't yours and you have to comply on whatever shit they demand, not to mention coinbase is completely centralized  Roll Eyes

You can try picking from these:

Hardware wallets (safest imo but it's not free)

Desktop Wallet (Your PC should always be clean)

Android Wallet (Phones will be phones and it's easy to lose or be stolen)

The coinbase Bitcoin Cash FAQ doesn't offer much hope. It's vague about whether it will fix mistakes.

What happens if I send Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin address?

At this time, Coinbase has already credited accounts who received any BCH at their existing BTC addresses. Going forward, we cannot guarantee that funds will be properly credited when one asset is sent to the address of a different asset. Please make sure that you only send funds to the specific deposit address displayed in your Coinbase account for the asset you are sending. You can view a list of these addresses, or create a new one, by visiting this page.

If you have sent BCH to an external address that was used only for BTC, you will need to obtain the private keys for that address and import them into a BCH wallet in order to access the funds stored there. Coinbase does not support the importing of private keys

Contacting bittrex won't help because according to your statement, the coins are in coinbase so they're the only ones who can retrieve them for you.

Although I'm afraid you will have to wait for a few weeks or a month since this type of problem is not in their priority list:

Our team is prioritizing only trust and safety, account lockout, and delayed payment issues. Specifically:

Account compromises
Account lockouts (password resets, 2-factor authentication, device verification, lost access to email address)
Delayed payments or orders

We are unable to prioritize other issue types at this time.

If by any chance you didn't use a third party wallet like coinbase, You'll get your coins again in just a few minutes  Undecided
