That is good. I heard about this project too. But what I want to know is will there be a provision by the project for direct conversion to fiat instead of gift cards? And what exactly can the gift cards be used for?

In such matters, I would stand aside. Until it comes to a high level, I would not risk big sums of money.
It's like exchanges. You can try different no-name exchanges. But no one in their right mind will keep a lot of money there because of security threats. When cryptocurrency will be sufficiently popular, large companies will take this niche in business.

Don't say spend.
You can just sell back the bitcoins and buy them back later when you think that the price worth it.
You don't need to just throw away the bitcoins if you think that they are going lower, usually when you need to use the money( or even if you buy gift cards with this bitcoins as some people here suggested), you will end up spending money that you didn't really to spend, it results unnecessary spends which means that you are doing a very wrong financial managemen and it's not good for the long run.

The question should be converting your cryptos to gift are they free? Is there a charged for doing the conversion? if there are charges converting then what's the essence? and if you convert how are you going to liquidate it?

This is certainly a great idea. Convert your cryptos to gift cards and use them accordingly. This would particularly be useful for people where crypto to fiat exchanges are banned, like China and soon to happen in India. But I think there is one catch. Usually crypto to card conversions have high fees and also you don't have as much flexibility as fiat.

The first 4 posts or so here sound like shilling for that company.  It's nice OP wants to spend crypto, but I've always thought gift cards were a stupid concept.  There's nothing a gift card does that cash can't do better, except to earn money for the company behind the gift card.

If you want to spend crypto, find a place that accepts it.  Better yet, sell the crypto to someone for fiat.  Then you're not limited to the limited number of places that issue gift cards.  It's not like there's a lack of websites where you can sell crypto for fiat.  Localbitcoins is the first one that comes to mind and, failing that, you could always go to the currency exchange section here and find someone willing to buy it.

the use of offers as clients to turns cash into debit/gift card as occupying use of altcoins with the funding of deposit helps as less on waste to secure expends as preparing transmission of balance to use with the displacement as the gifts for someone.

Like most of you, I have been investing in crypto for a while now. I have ridden the highs and the lows, and in the end, have made a bit of money!
I was thinking the other day - I don't want to go through the hassle of exchanging to fiat. Losing on transaction fees, blockchain fees and withdrawal fees, plus the whole process takes days to actually get to my bank account.
This is when I saw a solution - Zeex. Zeex is a protocol which allows direct conversion from cryptos to gift cards. Might sound a bit surprising, but it's actually perfect! No need to worry about bank accounts or anything like that, you can literally be waiting in line at a store, buy a gift card direct with your crypto, scan your phone at checkout and that's that! Seems so obvious, I can't believe it's never been done before! And there's hundreds of brands already connected on day one.
What do you guys reckon? Is this legit? Let me know what you think.
Zeex.me for whitepaper and other info.

the most interesting piece about Zeex, Zeex is backed by ''ZEEK"' which is sister company & seed investor and  has been at the forefront of the corporate currency industry, having sold more than one million gift cards in 2017, comprising of more than 350 top brands. Zeek has retailers such as Amazon, Adidas, Nike, Tesco, Sainsbury's, and many more across a broad range of products and services. Zeex has a great backup from an existing company. so it might work successfully. though I do not know much about  team

It's really strange in my opinion. If zeex will try to build a service that related to the amazon and it will be useless. In fact, that amazon has bought its crypto domain for the future development. Imagine when amazon will try to ignore it and then all of the promises will be total bullshit.  if this project will try to create its own store and it's can be tolerated.

It'll be great if the platform becomes true and launches stably. Biggest problem of cryptocurrency now is that holders can't use them in real life, we must exchange crypto to fiat for using in daily life. The small and rare amount of services which accept cryptocurrency can't support current demand. We need platforms like this.

Well this is good for places who supports crypto but here in the Philippines I do not know if people would ever accept crypto since it has always been thought as scam. People are very close-minded though there are still many who believe in crypto and am one of them.

That's great!  I'm looking to do the same once I've saved up enough money.  Every now and then I've been selling some of my crypto to pay off bills and debt, but when holidays come I plan to sell some to purchase a few items for home.  There's no point in investing all the time if we can't reap the rewards from it or are too afraid to spend any of it.

So after converting your cryptos to gift card what else? you send the gift cards to your loved ones or friends right? obviously at the end of the day you still need fiat and I believe the gift card can be liquidated to fiat, so what's the need?

I'm not sure if I see the point to it either. And on top of that, if in the US, you get to pay nice taxes on the GCs you buy ... assuming you can even calculate what the conversion rate was semi-accurately.

It's amazing that they're working with the Bancor Liquidity exchange. It's going to be great to be able to convert any erc20 token to ZIX
