Don't tell me you believed that, this is obviously a scam scheme to get newbies like you, top altcoins can't even give investors more than 20% returns on staking annually and some scam projects are giving people 100,000% returns, stay away from offers that are too good to be true.

First of all, this is really fishy. Who in their right mind is going to give you $2000 for $100?It is really a 101% scam. This is what they say: passive income, for which you are not doing anything. No matter what your conversation with that guy is, I am really sure that he/she will scam you. It is still your choice, but I know a lot of people will post here that it is a scam.  I think this should be moved to another board since it isn't about trading at all
You don't have to ask, because its very clear that its a big scam. Everything that seems too good to be true is certainly a red flag. Stay away from that kind of investment if you want to secure your money. Its better to stick on the established projects or invest in bitcoin if you are looking for guaranteed profits.

It is not real and it is impossible for it to be real. You have to be very careful,  don't allow the big gain from what you are seeing  draw your attention.  I will advice you not to give you money to anyone for such investment,  they are scammers  don't believe them.

My advice is don't trust and hope for an offer like that because it could be a scam. No profit can be obtained that easily and they also cannot guarantee easily that we can get profit after investing. actually we have to be smarter than scammers who should never be tempted by the lure they give. prove that we have sufficient knowledge and can avoid the scammers. why are they so confident to offer a profit after investing, it's obvious it's a scam . because people will not be able to guarantee with certainty that they can make a profit that easily. Be a wise and smart crypto lover in acting especially against fraudsters.

First off, this forum isn't a scam, Bitcoin isn't scam and the crypto currency generally isn't a scam too but you see that message you got??

It's a legit scam, Bitcoin isn't regulated by anyone and as such, no one can and would send you such message.

Facts, Many of my newbie friends know the risk on investing on rhis kind of scam scheme but they still choose to try it because they are tempted on the huge return for a short period of time. There still some ponzi scheme that paying early investors then just scam later which leads to some user keep on risking hoping that they will be paid as an early investor and neglecting the risk involved.

Then we have to say that some of them deserve to be scammed if they invest in something that is very likely to result in financial loss. It reminds me somewhat of gambling or playing the lottery because even though we know our chances are minimal, we will still give our money out of some hope of winning, while some others do it out of addiction.

At the end of the day, everyone should be responsible for their own behavior, and even that old saying goes "as you sow, so shall you reap".

This can happen to some beginners or newbie because they actually don't fully understand how to communicate properly in this forum after they ask a question. The OP didn't respond to anything and went inactive, not as expected for his problem solving.
The OP once responded sensibly about his own complaints, so I don't think the OP was really worried about the scam news, but he was just making sure that maybe the news could come true despite the 1:99 ratio so he's assuming there's still a chance it's true. Even though it is very clear that the scam news to cheat with deposit multiplier tricks is unrealistic, but some people are caught up with such scams.

Perhaps those who misinterpret the meaning of -"invest an amount you can afford to loose"  Grin. If I can afford to loose $100 in an investment to make 20x, why not try it, lol. This misinterpretation is what motivates people to want to try. Very unfortunate, the scammer at the other end receives your $100 with many thanks.

Surprisingly he also didn't mention any sites that asked him to invest for a high ROI, and I think we just really wanted to know a little detail so the same thing doesn't happen to other users (newbie).
Many complaints from newbies but do not provide detailed information what they want to clarify, so all troubleshooting is not as expected.

There are some scams that doesn't need much scrutiny to be detected, common sense is just enough to make one detect it. In this case, the figures make it so obvious that the sentence itself is a SCAM! Beware of big figures, beware of get-rich-quick scheme, be patient, invest in what takes reasonable time to yield!

A BIG SCAM trick.
Not unusual to hear as this was been commonly used by scammers. Just imagine if this is really going to happen in real life? Anything that mentions INSTANT returns without doing something, is certainly a big lie.

Because the truth is that there is no Easy Money that exists in the real world. Things like this "earning $2000 in 24 hrs from $200", you'll be wondering how this going to happen despite doing nothing with your money.

It seems to me that the OP had a strong suspicion about this investment, and therefore asked a question before deciding to invest. After getting an answer to his question he simply disappeared, as do most beginners who register on the forum just to ask a question and are not more seriously interested in Bitcoin.

In my opinion, the biggest problem is that someone thinks that such things have anything to do with something legal and profitable, which leads us to conclude that the Internet is a very dangerous place for those who are not aware of all the dangers that threaten them from all sides.

Clearly its a scam. There's no such thing that you can double or triple your money in a short period. Its not a new scheme to scam the investors hence if you're not greedy to believe then you wont be a victim.

We the older or know already about that kind of fishing trick we can smell it easier that is a scam site and not a good choice to invest with them.
But also we can not blame some new in investment getting scammed cause of you not have any knowledge about that tricks then you will fell into the trap. But as a new we must do some investigates and research more and read more about the site we want to invest.

The thing is that, after over two whole days of posts responding to the OP on this thread, and since OP has not been active since, we still don’t know whether he actually fell for it, or was on the pre-stage, whereby he was offered to participate in such an alluring offer.

Normally, one would like to know a few details to understand how the OP came across such a hush-hush deal. Not that it will differ much from all those similar cases we’ve seen here and there, but at least for the sake of having a more detailed testimonial.

That offers is too good to be true, so I hope you don't send anything to them. You will lose your money without any return because that is one of many ways for scammers to trick their target. There are many ways they can use to trick their target so when you get an offers asking you to send your money to them, forget it because they will not send anything to you after you send the money. It is better to search for other ways to make money. Social media is another way to search for a new target, so be careful.

The scammer knew you will have such in the future.

Joke aside, it wasn’t any targeted attempt at me, but just one of the hundreds of thousands of emails they send every day in hopes that someone will be caught on a hook. The goal was either to collect my data, or to ask me to make a deposit in order to be able to make a withdraw.

A pretty girl on the other side? Maybe she can help to prepare a good meal after thousands of dollars had been lost. Newbie in search of a pretty girl...lol!

You're not familiar with that scam? There are as many of them as you want on Telegram (or some other social network) who present themselves as handsome girls who need financial help or have confidential information about some great investment. And it is more than obvious that there are a lot of those who fall for such cheap tricks, and some live in costly delusion for years.

If there were a way that they could turn $100 into $2000 then they would have done it themselves and would never tell anyone least of which random people. They could just do this:
$100 > $2000 > $40000 > $800,000 > $16,000,000
Meaning they could have become a millionaire in only 4 days!
So yeah, this is one of the most obvious scams.
This is the thing they will get millionaire at one point if they scam certain percentage of people with these shitty scam tricks.Have seen people depositing huge amount of proportion to their address and then the coins are lost forever.Mostly they hack some influential accounts and then place the fake address for coins depositing like double doge scam with Elon musk Twitter profile and similar cases. They are easily doubling their amounts like 100>2000>40000.... with people who are greedy or not aware of these tricks.
What Pooya87 meant was that if this was actually real, meaning if they could actually make $2000 from $100 in no time, then they would not even have to make it public, or through scamming others, they would basically just lock themselves indoors and start the doubling process without needing the money of others even.

As regards accounts of influential people being hacked and used to perpetrate scam, you are so correct on that, but i still blame the victims, it is caused by their avarice and desire to get rich fast, whatever information that requires you to send funds also requires you to verify before sending, do not just trust. And again since the influential individual whose account is used is definitely rich, why would they need you to send them some money, then double it, if for example you're asked to send $500 to get $1000, they could just send you $500 without you sending anything and that's that.

These are one of the most base scam techniques where they would tell you that amount would be doubled or even more to make you slightly greedy and lightened up little Spark of hope in you which will make you fall for their trap.Whenever you have these kind of mails or contacts giving away you free money or double yours it's pure scam so stay away from it.Ask yourself is this possible? Are they any paid financial consultancy services to you that will double your money fast? Stay away big warning for them.

I usually seen this scheme from social media channels especially in Facebook where spam messages are rampant offering this unbelievable returns in just a short period of time, if you did not ask first and fall for this you might lost your money, you can only multiply that huge amount of money in gambling if your are lucky, but in investment offers this is impossible.

While this is funny, I think this is true. Many of the victims of this kind of scam are probably suspicious of it right from the start. They probably know that this kind of offer is 99% scam, but since $100 is an amount they can afford to lose and that the reward is much larger, they are willing to risk. There's no harm in trying, others might say. You can easily earn that $100, but that reward is too juicy not to try getting.

It is a pity that in chasing easy money, we are actually burning money.

Please! I think that you are supposed to be +18 and these types of questions at that age even before, one has to have them resolved in what you should do.

Now, let's do the example so that you understand the point "if someone" tells me to invest $1000 and you earn $100, I would accept without hesitation, but most do not, let's make the scenario that the offer is made by someone you trust, but if that same person tells you invest $100 and you will earn $2000 tomorrow, I would say no, but most maybe sure do.

Since we talked about the setting or context being someone we trust, I prefer to tell him that I'll give you the $100 and please! don't give me any profit.

It's not that it's impossible to get that return on a legitimate investment, for example investing in a startup or a fancy shitcoin, but if someone promises you above that return they are trying to scam you.

It is possible, but when it comes to altcoins, I always wonder if it is legitimate from an ethical perspective to participate in such projects that we already know in advance will fail. This whole modus operandi is based on how skilled a minority is that will profit from the majority that will lose the money invested - so we come to the conclusion that most of these projects are actually a conscious fraud from the very beginning.

Naivety combined with the idea of some kind of magic money that exists on the Internet is an ideal platform for all scammers, and it has proven to be much more profitable and safer than ordinary physical robberies. Today you can steal billions without leaving your room, and if you're smart enough (which most aren't) they'll never catch you.

As other fellows have already explained, it is clearly a scam. Now I want to give you a rule to detect scams:

The price of Bitcoin has grown since its inception at an average of less than 200% per year. Let's round up and consider 200%. Any seemingly fabulous offer that promises you more than that is a scam, as in this case it promises you 2000% in 24 hours, which would be 730000% per year.

It's not that it's impossible to get that return on a legitimate investment, for example investing in a startup or a fancy shitcoin, but if someone promises you above that return they are trying to scam you.

Yes, it is a scam!

I have been receiving every day in my spam box mails wherein they claim that they will be crediting my wallet with x amount of satoshi or I need to complete a transaction in order to receive x amount of satoshi and many other sorts of tempting mail. I ignore those offers and sometime when those mail land directly into my inbox I move them to spam. Social media platforms are another space where these spammers will contact you and inform you that you have won x amount of money through a raffle, ignore them too. Keep this in your mind next time you encounter a scammer, nothing is free and if it is free then it is a scam.

Unfortunately two categories of persons still fall prey to these cheap dubious schemes;

- The greedy: These particular set is what everyone describes most time, the set that ignore all the red flags and ridiculous ROI and still want to try to get $2000 from $100.

- The desperate: These set  are usually maybe facing ine financial challenge or other and they require money to sort it out. They make themselves vulnerable because of their willingness to try anything to meet up, and it can usually make them victims.

For whichever category one falls under, especially as newbies... remember that there is really no easy way to make money, and there will always be people out there who want to take the little or lot that you have, always be on guard.

Quite a lot of people just take investments (of any type) to be a get rich quick thing, and more ofen than not they get scammed and it is a product of their own greed. If you are not patient, both in learning and investment, you will make a mistake and lose your funds.

You invest and they tell you that you can win? Well, it's gambling although there's a risk and this risk is obvious, an obvious scam that has been existing. If there's a legit offer then all of us are already rich with that scheme. But the truth and reality is that they're just giving you false hope and will scam your $100. Don't feed your $100 to them and that's better if you'll buy bitcoin or any crypto that you think that you've studied very well and invest it there so that you'll have the actual investment that will go with the market and going to add the experience to you.

Oh unfortunately, you have fallen prey to one of the most alluring scams in the cryptocurrency world- which are called "ponzi-schemes."

Ponzi-schemes are projects that offer significant amounts of return in a short amount of time with a minimum required investment money. For example, they offer 50-100% return in around 1-6 months which require you to invest a minimum amount of money to their project. Obviously, the interest rates are very high but typically these projects are scams that can potentially run away with your money.

Unfortunately, I doubt that you would be able to return your money as this will now be an expensive learning lesson on your part.

You really think something like that is possible? It's a scam and in general if something sounds too good to be true than its a scam in most cases.
