First pick a topic that interest people and some topics you've written contains guides,tips,quality,sense to help each others personal achievements
And when they like your post they will give you the merit that come from the higher ranks
When you are a junior member you can join the signature campaign.
Everything is explained in this thread. Just take the time to learn about BTC (there's even a wiki for this) and converse with the community. Be informative and take time to spell check and you'll get merit eventually.
