You mean buying LR with Paypal? I already offer LR in my shop but i think 90% of the users want to pay with pp and dont want or can use Liberty reserve. So that wouldnt help me.

Hi, I'm TradeFortress here.

The key thing is that we are not directly trading with bitcoin. You buy a non-revokable currency with PayPal (it's pretty easy). You give that to me. I give you the coins, and then I sell my non-revokable currency for PayPal $$. So in reality I wouldn't even know if you chargeback or not, and I wouldn't care.

BitcoinINV sounds like he could be the one, at least i remember the name. Ill speak with him... thanks...

He didnt said that he could win all chargebacks, he only referred to bitcoin chargebacks. He mentioned something about digital goods or so and that he will win that way.

What about genuinely hacked accounts, identity theft accounts (accounts created and verified without the true owners knowledge), people who bypass PayPal and chargeback their card directly, etc?

Yeah, thats exactly the range of problems i had beneath the simple ones that only tried a chargeback with their own accounts. Ill speak with him if he can help.

I already did and found TradeFortress. But he only writes that he will be angry when one makes a chargeback. So im not sure if he is the one i read about before because that person claimed that he will win each dispute or chargeback. That would be ideal if he could manage this.

Thanks!
Sebastian

That is not possible with paypal.  Even when shipping a physical item with/containing BTC chargebacks can happen though they are less likely.

Exactly but lets pretend you could win every false dispute with PayPal.  What about genuinely hacked accounts, identity theft accounts (accounts created and verified without the true owners knowledge), people who bypass PayPal and chargeback their card directly, etc?   The idea that you can take a reversible system, and via some magical set of properties make all those different forms of fraud impossible, is a pipe dream.  It is the bitcoiners equivalent of the philosopher's stone.

Hello,

i already searched for the guy from this forum that has a service to sell btc for paypal and he claimed that chargebacks wont work with him. I didnt find this post but was it TradeFortress?

I have a shop and many ask for paying with paypal but i dont want to use it anymore because paypal costs time, money and scams happen often. If i could send my customers to him so they can buy btc and pay me with them that would probably a workaround.

Any idea who that was?

Thanks!
Sebastian
