I said in another thread i know it was under bad circumstances but i really used the lockdown period to read and learn as much as i could.  I tried to read at least a couple of hours every day and completed some courses i had but never could find the time to finish.

I do enjoy this lockdown too, I do not have to deal with so many things at least for now, this has been my longest albeit not big vacation. I catch up to some of the movies and series that I want to watch and read all the mangas in my waiting list.

I'm getting on top of my power problem, and I'm using the WiFi provided by the management of a retail park. I'm parked in a small car park near to the entrance, and I can watch the girls in shorts taking their dogs for a walk, and the joggers in tight lycra. I'm even getting smiles from some of them.

I can see the supermarket queues, so I can choose to shop when nobody is waiting to enter, and I've got a choice of 3 supermarkets. When I get inside, the shelves are still pretty well stocked, and the aisles are pretty empty because of social distancing. When I need to drive somewhere, the roads are pretty empty, and the price of diesel is down because of the oil wars.

It's just sad that the virus is the reason for all this. It is also sad to see how many people are still smoking as they walk in the sunshine. I would have thought that the pasty haggard faces of the hollow chested older women would put people off, but it seems that most people don't register the consequences of smoking.

Well that is a novelty. I'm inland, but a coastguard 4x4 has just gone by with the blues and twos going

It's really sad that all of these upsides were/are because of a misery. It is fascinating, though, how we humans adjust ourselves in different situations and even start enjoying them.

hey a good side about it is that there's not too many people at the shops when you go Smiley-
I'll just envy it. Our stores are full of people. There are very few people who respect the rules of social distancing and wear masks.

I believe that the worst thing you can do is to stay inside. You should be out in the fresh air, and getting to vitamin "D" from the sun. I eat food from the hedgerows, as it much healthier, so if I had a reduced income, I still wouldn't starve. One advantage of the lock down is that there aren't as many people out and about - they seem to prefer to stay at home, and mess up their health with crappy delivered food.

My biggest problem is finding WiFi that allows me to run my Bitcoin node, and I am quite a bit behind with this. It will be a lot easier if I can increase my power generation capability. A solar panel would be useful, but I have a few problems with mounting it on the roof of the van. I'm continuing to stay off grid as much as possible, and plan to do this for another couple of years.

Get a 3G or 4G mobile broadband with a cellphone company, like Verizon.

What about a small engine and generator for electricity?

Of course, you have thought of all this long ago, right?

Cool

You definitely don't want to enjoy lockdown because you can't travel. You can't do the things you like before when there is no lockdown yet. Our situation right now is spreading fear of getting infected with the virus. I hope this situation will end soon. I will be a legend because I survive(hopefully).

Sooner or later you can get used to a lot, so it is not surprising that in so much time a person begins to enjoy lockdown. To some extent, I also began to enjoy it, since there were many options for what I could do.
Maybe OP is capable of having money to spend during lockdown.

Because majority of people now are seeking for food because of this situation.

and i am sure that if there are no money inside OPs pocket he will never come to enjoy this pandemic quarantine.

Yabut. Your significant other will get sick of you after a while.

my wife was already sick of me Grin

we have been able to visit friends though, we will visit and hang on their decks which can accommodate us with space to social distance. or vice versa. and we just bring our own drinks and snacks.

and instead of going out to businesses we have done a lot of nature walks and exploring nearby.

Actually, if you have more money then you will enjoy the lockdown. You just order foods and all you need throughout the day and enjoy watching movies at home .

I cant stand that kind of lifestyle. Have to go out and exercise instead of bumming around at home. Eating at home may be nice for a while but soon you'll miss eating out or home-cooked food.

Work-wise, I guess there's more work and monitoring required from the boss.

Lets look at the bright side mate,it is not only the money who's important in this time but the sharing of love and caring for others.

Yeah we need to eat but also we need to see what is around and not only the needs of our mouth.

Thats true, it would be easy to stay at home and forget the current problem that we're facing if you have money to spend during lockdown, thats the importance of having savings.

Well I enjoyed the time we're in lockdown too because I had lots of time to bond with my kids. Now I return back to work and facing the reality of new normal.

I also enjoy lockdown, i often just watch movies and anime while eating snacks and do my daily routine like doing household chores. I'm lucky we live in a rural area we don't have problem in food during lockdown.

I and I are enjoying the lockdown as we spend time with my family Also this time around, the funny thing about standing up for the poor is nothing more I have already distributed masks to 300 families and gave them relief. I request the poor helpless people to stay in their homes and I am very happy to be very aware of the Coronavirus.

I really think that one good reason with this current lockdown is due to the fact that I am now able to spend quality times with my family. Everyday is family day, unlike before when there is my 8-5 job, I'm almost tired once I get home and have little to no time for my kid.

They are talking about testing people, and giving them immunity certificates if they have recovered from the virus. This will enable those with certificates to avoid the restrictions of the lockdown.

Well, there are food delivery services app. Order any cuisine and they'll bring them on a motorbike/ moped. No need to step out of the house. Cheesy
the food delivery service here are sucks ,mostly 30 mins to 2 hours late because of each places have their own blocking rules(to prevent other people from other areas or city wont come in)that same reason why deliveries are usually late.

But i am not getting use of the quarantine for i am starting to learn and develop more things inside me specially skills that i don't even know from the past(thanks to YouTube)

Same here! I find that a lot of daily distractions just start to disappear, and my focus has gone up tremendously.

Plus, money saving is made easy this way - not that many options to go out and spend it these days.
A yearly 1-month quarantine period would probably do me a lot of good (or grow the discipline to implement these new-found wisdoms, but we all know that's not gonna happen Cool )

Supermarket aren't so crowded and the roads in the village are almost empty, its a good time to teach my kid to drive. I'm starting to like the lockdown too. There is an ordinance our government had issue which only 1 person can get out of the house to buy the things need at home. I'm the lucky one. I can get out of the house alone ad finally find a time to drink beer with an old friend without my wife.

I get to relax in the comfort of my home. I can't do these before the lockdown. Work alone consumes most of my time in a day. Now I get to sit down, relax, do leisure activities and enjoy the company of my family. I'll worry financial problems later when all of this is over.

The lockdown seems to be subjective, and not consistent. I haven't seen any warnings about smoking or vaping in public ( or private ), and I think that is more significant than sharing and reusing  masks - which seems to happen quite a bit. I'm lucky in that there is a very low hedge that is about 8 feet deep in front of my van at the moment. Several people stop and talk to me over the hedge, so I do get a small amount of social interaction.

I've seen a couple of mobile scan units go past i the last few days, and I wonder whether this service will increase in the future. I gather that there is no long term immunity from the virus, so it is unlikely that a vaccine can be created, and we will need to rely on NPI in the future ( non Pharmacological intervention ). I gather that this is one of the treatment methods that some hospitals are using. Therer has been a bit of activity in the share dealings for cruise line companies, and I wonder if a couple of their liners will be converted into mobile hospitals. This was something that was done in the last world war.

Well, more or less same picture in the whole world. After 19 days I went to the market to buy some urgent medicine. I saw only medicine Shops are open in the market and a few people selling green vegetables on the roadside.

I saw only fear and panic in every human eye. At first I thought everyone might be scared of the Corona virus. But after a while I realized that they were more afraid of the police than they were afraid of the virus.

Anyway I am also enjoying lockdown. There is no work to do. I can spent more time with my family now, which is not possible a few days back.
Have a nice day and enjoy the lockdown.
The hawkers and sidestores seem to be doing well while most parts of markets are closed.

I haven't really seen the police/security people bothering the hawkers and stores. I guess they are more focused on places that encourage crowds like markets, schools, church buildings, supermarkets/malls etc
I have observed alot of strange things that  contradict alot of things researchers/scientists probably believe. I wonder if the authorities are paying attention or are just too cautious. I think such important information should be gathered to understand what really happened. Unfortunately lots of people would rather be controlled by their own agendas than let others  see the full picture or the truth.

Delivery: Mr/ Mrs (name), correct?
You: Yes
*hands food over gingerly*
Delivery: Okay, bye.

Doesn't sound very interesting as I'd expect

Firstly, having a conversation is better than its total absence. Secondly, five words are better than none. Thirdly, no one forbids exchanging a couple more phrases with the courier and asking about what is going on around or whatever else.

You can go out if you want Grin

But you should be careful, and if you visit in your friend home's, you can talk with them with a distance, so there is no body contact. Better you carry your drink and food too, so you don't bother them to give you drink and food Grin
