This is true, people moving to smartphones do matter a lot as a n example to crypto. From all the way of using carrier pigeons to having the information of the world on your fingertips, it became a thing that nobody could deny at this moment, it is just insanely good. This means that we could be basically just focusing on the fact that crypto is something that is profitable if you could hold long term enough.

It has been doing great for the past 10 years, and I do not see it stopping in the next 20 years neither, which means that at one point it will become something that nobody could deny to use, one day it will be just a regular everyday thing for all humanity.

the era we live in now is the era of the digital world, so we are extraordinary in the digital age, but if we live in world war II, of course we will not say that the world without bitcoin will progress. The proof is that after the second world war, countries could rise up and move forward. with bitcoin it looks like the world without bitcoin would be bleak but now know that many people develop their business without using bitcoin even that person doesn't know bitcoin.

Without Bitcoin people should have to struggle for getting a job after having all kinds of qualifications.
Without Bitcoin we would have to invest in the stock exchange where 2% dump anxiety leads to hair loss. but in bitcoin 30% pump/dump is usual thing.
Without Bitcoin, Ukraine's president would not be able to provide a donate wallet for help after the war has invalidated their currency.
Without Bitcoin, the bank could have sucked people a little better.
A lot more could have happened without Bitcoin. It gives us ultimate freedom.

If I imagine a world without bitcoin, then there will be no post like this. There won't be any successful craziest meme tweets via Elon Musk. McAffee won't be gone like this. There will be no such Garry Kane scam news. There will be news of the world's highest amount of money hacked. Because of this, I won't be here or I ca continue my studies. Because of this, I earn money and then I bear my expenses. Not only that, my family's financial position will be worse. Now I can't imagine more. I'd like to thank my God for bestowing upon Satoshi Nakamoto Sir a special power to create the world of bitcoin. my overall imagination.

Bitcoin has been a liberty to some people, almost every part of the world has heard about bitcoin it just that not everyone will have that opportunity to get it.
Either with bitcoin or not, the world still remains the same. When there was no bitcoin, there were war, there were famine, natural disasters, global warming and now that we have bitcoin, these things are still available everywhere. Apart from global store of value and hedge against inflation preserve, others things still remain the same.

In this situation it is very difficult to imagine a world without bitcoin.This bitcoin has played a huge role in the unemployed youth community around the world.If it weren't for Bitcoin, our lives would be a lot worse today.But for Bitcoin we have come a long way today.We will never be able to pay for Bitcoin. The more the world updates, the more popular Bitcoin will become.

Bitcoin is now a store of value, a good investment, and will most likely remain so in the future. It is difficult for me to imagine the moment when bitcoin will become a full-fledged means of payment, when I will be able to pay for my purchases in a store, or pay for travel in transport. And it’s easy to imagine a world without bitcoin, because my bitcoins are in my wallet as a long-term investment, and if bitcoin didn’t exist, then most likely I would just buy gold. But luckily bitcoin exists, and it's great! )

when russia first attacked ukraine - a lot of bitcoins were donated to it later when russia was cut off from SWIFT - they required countries that wanted to buy their oil to only use bitcoin and ruble.

my personal experience, if I didn't know bitcoin then I believe my economy would not be as good as it is now, Bitcoin is a miracle.

Satoshi must have it in mind for years that he kept developing an alternative and solving the double spending but eventually he created BTC and made it to perfection. And then BTC is becoming the most attractive asset class today which institutions are buying up BTC.

The world without BTC is coming back to bailing out banks again, that's what will happen as governments had been doing it for decades. Now that there is an asset/currency that  no one can ever printed to add up to the supply, government are panicking to release their own CBDC.

I think it is too easy to imagine the World without Bitcoin. There are still too many people who are completely not aware of it. There are still too many people who are "not interested" in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. And of course there are people who are busy with their current problems, to find time to listen, read, find information about Bitcoin. Bitcoins is still counted as "bad" for most of people. Even while I am writing this post, news on TV warn about speculative side of cryptocurrency and warn that is easy to be scammed.

While true the fact that bitcoin was created by an individual and not a government meant that it began with a user base of one, at the beginning only satoshi used bitcoin and then it kept growing its user base, this means that bitcoin became and incredible investment and that you could accumulate early on amounts of bitcoin that would be impossible to accumulate in the future unless you had a lot of fiat already.

So it is natural that even today the main use of bitcoin is as an investment and store of value than as a currency, but as adoption grows at some point we will see a reversal of this situation and bitcoin will finally fulfill its main objective, which is to become a currency.

World is running from million of years without Bitcoin and it will run as  it is already running.  BTC provide us online safe secured transaction but if BTC was not invented then  something else had discovered because Need is mother of invention. But if now BTC will be removed from this world in current time then it is different matter which effect the world for few time of period.

I think for many this is not difficult at all. After all, everyone remembers how quite recently - a few years ago, no one spoke about such a currency at all.

I don't know how to say it, but so is where I live. Majority of young people are involved in crypto and almost all of them are working full time with crypto, a lot of people have succeeded and have their dream life thanks to crypto. The people I knew were chefs and builders, but they quit their jobs and became full-time investors.
It's a bit different for me because I have my main job outside and invest in crypto when I have free time, but really crypto has helped me a lot. When covid happened I was almost unemployed and I could only make money from crypto and now participating in signature campaigns, participating in whitelist events also get me some extra spending in life when prices escalate because of inflation.

if the times did not appear bitcoin, may not be a pleasant conversation. just like mobile phones, previously people didn't use cellphones it didn't matter, there was still a postal mail or landline and now they have to use a smartphone, sometimes someone also feels dependent on a smartphone. that's the picture of developments in the world, the same as bitcoin, of course it will always develop and we will also have to be able to adapt to the latest developments

The most important aspect of Bitcoin is missing from what you listed above as the major reason and usage of Bitcoin are for p2p payments without the intervention of any third party. Bitcoin has come to eradicate the era of traditional banking where privacy is taken seriously. Some take Bitcoin as an investment while others mainly use Bitcoin for payment.

As you said that many people are earning through bitcoins  in your country, does this mean that bitcoin is declared legal in your country?

Personally, I am too much involved in bitcoin that it is hard for me to even imagine a world without bitcoins. I hope I don't have to see a day where there are no more cryptocurrencies and bitcoins.

Dumb questions op. BTC was introduced to the world way back in 2009. Before 2009, there was no BTC, popular digital payment methods and other popular cryptocurrencies which is when FIAT, Gold, Silver etc thrived.

This basically answers all of your queries op. If BTC were to suddenly vanish in the future, some other popular cryptocurrency will take its place(ETH, LTC etc) as the top cryptocurrency in the world.

It's pretty much impossible for all cryptocurrencies to suddenly disappear out of the blue basically.

It is an analysis with nice analogies, and I think that it is important to highlight a considerable point here, and that is that technology will always advance, not only in telephones, or audiovisuals, or smart homes or so many things that machines can do, but each Sometimes things like the economy will have its inflection point as it is now with BTC, at the beginning of 2017 when BTC jumped to $20k everyone said that this was the biggest bubble of all time, and when it fell in price more still, but they did not imagine that it would reach almost $70k, and now they will even less imagine that it will reach more than $150k and it is not said by me but by experts who have had great experience on wall street. In this context it is not healthy to imagine a world without BTC.

I could not imagine a world without Bitcoin, for my personal experience, it is the safest investment, I do not trust banks or systems that have a bond or their incorporation that offer savings, of course, what I trust is in the bitcoin, for I is the best investment that exists.

I have always respected the decision of others, there are people who, as long as they speak and say they have to free themselves, do not leave their mental jail, there are only a few that until now are seeing the solutions and reality they show them. Sorry, I doubt it. I'm not sure if Bitcoin will be gone and no any digital payment in the future. I assume it is only on your imagination, something not really to happen in the future.

Regarding the crypto forum, we already have some crypto forums. Whether Bitcoin survives or not, other crypto forums appear. And this Bitcointalk forum may still exist even if there is no longer Bitcoin because this forum isn't only related to Bitcoin, this forum is for all cryptocurrencies.

What does this have to do with the rate of jobless? I don't think it will have a significant impact on the increase/decrease of jobless.

I do accept that there wont be any change even if there is no Bitcoin space, but to have a public ledger is an invention that can be used in every sector especially by the government to have transparency. The idea of Bitcoin is harming the environment is just bullshit as if every other industry is boosting the environment.

How do the jobs in your country connected to bitcoin? I hardly can imagine any country where disappearance of bitcoin can influence employment significantly. Even when we talk about El Salvador there are some new jobs caused by implementation of bitcoin as payment system, but it is no so significant. Fiat transborder transactions are more expensive but can still be done. What's about your country? It would be interesting to learn more about it.

I understand right now how important Bitcoin is for a country.Usually now if bitcoin is stopped in my country then the number of unemployed in my country will increase so much that the government will not be able to bring it under control.This bitcoin has brought a serenity to all people including the whole unemployed youth. Unemployed youths work in this cryptocurrency and continue their family with their livelihood.We have to live with a lot of hardships, especially when this bitcoin is closed.

Bitcoin is not just about financial transactions, it is about freedom and alternatives. It brought the competitive alternative to the bank system. And competition makes the system working better. It brought the freedom to manage your money. If you loose that you'll get a dictate of bank system again. What and when can you by with your money, how much and when can you pay, etc.

Has it been really "that" long? I mean we have been here for a long time and that is a good thing and I am very happy about it, but the fact that "imagine" is a word for thinking about a world without bitcoin is still a bit weird.

I mean after all we are talking about something that is a bit new compared to our lives, I didn't know what bitcoin was, or in fact bitcoin wasn't even invented or known up until I was 20 years old or so, I mean invented a bit before, like when I was 18-19, but didn't become known until I was 22-23 years old. It means that I grew up completely without bitcoin, it is not something that I have to imagine, I lived 2 decades without it.

We all have experienced life without bitcoin and now with, big difference. Bitcoin has changed many lifes. This crypto has impact all over the world. From my point of view bitcoin learn us about cryptocurrency and trading. With this trading many of us learned different sector trading like forex and stock. Without Bitcoin no life. There were no bitcoins 20 years before and we could imagine the world without them only before their existence. Since the invention of bitcoins, it's impossible to live without them.

I can't imagine a world without bitcoin. What if someone says, imagine a world without the Internet and you will say that the world without the internet will be the end of the world. We cannot say the same for bitcoins, but those who are using bitcoin, for them it is like a horrible dream to think of a world without bitcoins.

Those people who are impressed by others are usually newbies because they see their entrance to crypto world as a great way to get in and the reason why they are in crypto. After a while they will realize that it is really not that much of a possibility and yes there are few who got in at a very lucky stage of a good coin that goes up, but that is a very rare thing.

In order to turn your few thousands into millions you need to find that one or two coin out of thousands that starts very new and keep it for a year when it gets super hyped during a good bull run. All of those hitting at the same time is rare, so they will eventually figure that out as well.

I could imagine that even without Bitcoin, even without cryptocurrency, people could still live. This market change is just only a sort of innovation, it plays an important role this time as we are in the computer and internet era, and that is we need to develop a new marker design which is digital currencies. Having experienced both worlds with or without, I think it’s much better than individuals having an independent financial system. It is also good for the balance of the economy. A world without bitcoin would just remain stagnant, stuck in a loop, where the rich continue to get richer, the poor stay poor.

maybe this is still not certain, okay, there are indeed a lot of people who are here because of satisfaction and feel the benefits, but on the other hand you forget other factors such as beginners who just go with the flow here because they are impressed with other people's results obtained previously.
I don't think it's based on those who feel the benefits but it's curiosity and a sense of wanting to try because other people have tried it first and they are quite benefited in that regard

If the world was without bitcoin, I would think what if I was without this forum, or bitcointalk.
This forum is the best because we can get bitcoin without having to buy it (not that we don't buy it) and that's all on condition that they work or do the work that is applied or required according to their respective skills to get bitcoin as payment.
and i really believe that everyone in this forum is 100% their life changed or there is a change, especially in finance and some even made it rich and all live happily because bitcoin changed it.
And if I wasn't in this forum, I wouldn't be who I am today, and I consider bitcoin and this forum a godsend.

We feel happy and blessed with the arrival of Bitcoin as it gives us financial freedom and privacy. Maybe things would be more difficult without bitcoin but in a world without Bitcoin, we will survive and continue to live and work. Bitcoin has only been around for 13 years and there are still a lot of people in the world who don't know about bitcoin.

Positive and negative news always accompanies any industry. Think more simply as the quality of life is increasing. We are more and more aware of the information in our lives, and over time, the selection creates the products that we need. So I believe that the present is the specific answer to what we have chosen before. For BTC I also think that the trust of many people now has been formed through a specific process.

I’m not sure that’s true..I think the majority of people are “involved” in bitcoin : cryptocurrencies because they can make money with it. I think the same for many of the people whom are active here in this forum, it’s just about trying to make money. Personally I really wish more people around here cared about the technological breakthroughs the bitcoin is bringing to finance. That’s why I got in to, I spent a year studying it before ever owning any..most care about “profits”, not everything else.

The existence of Bitcoin is really beneficial for people using it. Hence if Bitcoin is not created then people who engaged themselves in Bitcoin (or crypto in general) are the ones who will be affected.

As we know, even Bitcoin gained popularity now compared to before, many people are still not aware of its existence and even some are aware, they still prefer using fiat.

Thus there's no really huge impact in the world if it is not created. But this is not the case for the users since it became part of our lives.

If there is no bitcoin, then there will be no altcoins since altcoins were inspired by bitcoin. We would never know about satoshi and his bitcoin "peer to peer" white paper. There would be no bitcoin pizza and there might be no blockchain. The only thing that is simular in the parallel universe might be stocks. I would rather live in this universe with bitcoin since it makes more money quicker than stocks. In the parallel universe, I might not be writing this as well since the forum does not exist either.

Imagine a world without bitcoin? You mean the world it is right now? You are making it sound like bitcoin is a mainstream currency and we can't live without bitcoin. Go to the street and ask people what bitcoin is. Most of them will say they heard about it but doesn't actually know what bitcoin is. All they know is it is some sort of currency and "people use it to do bad things" because of how the media spreads FUD. We can live in a world without bitcoin using fiat currency like we all are right now.

The world without bitcoin would not make much difference as it is now. Because with the invention of cryptocurrency, people still use it to scam. One have to be conscious while trading using the platform. It is true that with the coming of cryptocurrency it created more job opportunities to youths, especially those in developing countries who took advantage of the opportunity. I feel the world without bitcoin will still be cool and would not have much difference as it is now.

When I think about my adventures in Bitcoin and what my personal life would look like if Bitcoin was never invented it's pretty shocking.  I think I would have spent a great deal more time with friends and family over the last 10 years resulting in closer relationships.  I think I would have been more focused on my career instead of my crypto activities, which likely would have resulted in me spending far more time "working" in and commuting to an office.  That would likely lead me to having a nicer car and spend more time building my wardrobe while being more concerned with my appearance.  I would probably worry more about my personal finances and less about what's going on in the world.  The biggest change though, is that I would probably have an 80% lower net worth.  Who is to say which would be better?  I think I'd be happy either way.

You don't need to travel that far back to imagine a world without btc because it is pretty easy to imagine now. All you need to do is travel to places where btc is unknown or the mention of it sound foreign then you will get the picture.
Btc awareness is very limited despite all the recognition and popularity it has gained more than a decade. Someday this will happen, btc will be widely used and accepted to the point people will begin to imagine a world with it, what it would be like.

No need of going back 20+ years to have an imagination of a world without bitcoin. We people have known about bitcoin. Reach a person who lives his life with a job that pays him a stable income and hadn't known about bitcoin. He'll give a brief explanation of what he's living, and he finds that life successful and enjoyable. If the same is raised to a person who have used to bitcoin, he'll brief about the positive and negative he had experienced out of bitcoin. In my view, if there is no bitcoin we could've encountered something similar to bitcoin in another name.

It is interesting to think that because technology has accelerated so fast in the past couple of decades, something like bitcoin would have seemed futuristic or impossible in the 1970's and 1980's. That said, it is fairly easy to imagine a world of no Bitcoin if you can remember back 20+ years or more .

A world without crypto might be fine, and we can also live our lives normally because there is still fiat that we can use as a transaction tool, but with crypto our insight is increasing, we used to use the internet to watch YouTube and open Facebook. , but after the existence of bitcoin our insight also increases, we have studied bitcoin, and we can earn money through crypto currency, otherwise bitcoin I'm sure other coins will never exist.

Since we are already involved with Bitcoin it will be hard to imagine a world without Bitcoin for us. However, there was a world without Bitcoin and digital currency. And of course, everything was fine. But Bitcoin has been created to make easier money transactions worldwide without involving a third party. It's called p2p decentralized cryptocurrency. For now, we can't imagine a world without digital currency. If Bitcoin no exists in case somehow there will be something alternative. The world moving toward digitalization, it won't stop anyway.

If bitcoin did not existed it would have been a huge blow to the world, it is true that compared to the size of the stock market bitcoin is small but that is not what I am really talking about.

Privacy and decentralization are under assault all over the world, governments are passing all kind of laws and regulations to steal those from us in their attempt to control everything, if bitcoin did not existed then there would not be any obstacle in their quest for complete economic control of their citizens, but with bitcoin there is an alternative, even if the fiat system never collapses and they reach their goal of knowing everything that happens on fiat, at least we will still have an alternative in which we can take refuge and gain some privacy back.

I would say a world without Bitcoin we be the same as now because there are so many people who have not heard about Bitcoin and how it works. But i will say Bitcoin has contributed so much to life's today and is still kept in mind. Bitcoin has created opportunities to so many lifes. But if there was nothing like Bitcoin in this world nothing would have changed rather everybody will focus on there career and job.

The Bitcoin and blockchain industry has provided several opportunities in the world today, and also brought forth new set of millionaires. Without Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, we wouldn’t have had people such as Vitalik Buterin, Brian Armstrong, the Winklevoss brothers, Changpeng Zhao, Justin Sun and a lot of other people that we wouldn’t have known today if not for Bitcoin which led to the emergence of other cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin was what inspired all these other tech experts to also come up with their own ideas. And it has also made them popular and made them rich. And by making them rich they’re able to start up their own company and employ other people. That way Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies has been able to provide opportunities to the world.

Let's not forget that bitcoin was created a little more than 10 years ago, so we're talking about a very short time frame. And many people don't get approved by banks to open a bank account, so sooner or later someone will them about bitcoin and how to easily transfer money without needing a bank approval.

There are many people in the world who do not use bitcoins. They have no knowledge of bitcoins. For those huge populations, digital money is still plastic cards (Credit/ debit cards). If there were no bitcoin, nothing would have changed, rather the governments and the banks would have been relieved to see that no currency exists for the people over which people have control. I still think governments wants a bitcoin free economic system. 

This is somehow true, the population that are into crypto as compared to world population is still very small. Though the adoption is growing, still we can't make a conclusion for the general population. For most crypto users, we have seen the impact or the benefits of dealing with crypto or blockchain technology. But in case, bitcoin was never created, maybe another digital currency will emerge, just a different name. Because we are heading to digital world, so there will be something digital currency will come into life.

World without bitcoin will be the same as now, because the active user community is far less compared to the fiat. For now the Russians might've suffered without any way to get out of the sanction. Bitcoin is much preferred as investment, so people who have opted for bitcoin might've invested into stocks and other forms of investments.

As few users mentioned, the user community who have been making use of bitcoin for all the primary needs will be the one to suffer. When we make a survey on this, it'll be very small percentage of the global population.

This is where we do really love the benefits that we do get from Bitcoin.Yes, we do have long time online payment processors but
we know on how centralized they are and now that we do have bitcoin then we could really able to point out the difference.

Not what I am seeing it. It is now used as a hedgefund for others, an investment and the main purpose is somehow forgotten. It was just a technology meant to transfer funds p2p without banks in the middle.

A world without Bitcoin is still will be the world we live in. There are great things that Blockchain did in a lot of fields, but the world being dependent on it is not one.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are one thing, digital payments another, just think about PayPal for example, that has been created several years ago. And even more than moving money around bitcoin gave people the consciousness that they can be their own bank, they can actually own their money without relaying on anyone else. That's for me the biggest lesson I've learnt with bitcoin.

If bitcoin had not being in existence we wouldn't have been all hearing enjoying the uniqueness of this platform, there wouldn't have been access to privacy and security to asset in a more advanced form of digital, we wouldn't have enjoy decentralization of currency, there wouldn't be a secured means to handle our currency without unsolicited deduction from it as the banks does, we wouldn't have enjoy cross boarder transactions with lesser cost, there wouldn't have been a peer to peer system payment, rate of unemployment and cyber attacks could have increased that it is currently.

Bitcoin truly has been of benefit to so many of us,that fact can't be denied and it has as well created job opportunities for most of us.
The only thing I can say and stand by is the fact that without Bitcoin in existence, they'd be no bitcointalk as for the rest, no one can tell for sure cause we're blessed with highly creative individuals and so they may have been something else that would have served as substitute.

Mostly the same because we would have altcoins. Unless you mean no crypto at all then it would be a sad world.


If you lived in 2010 when almost nobody knew about bitcoin and there were no exchanges, was life that much harder? Was someone restricting you?
You felt like everything was fine because all your friends and family lived the same way and faced the same problems.
You don't know what you have until you lose it.

Though we're been exposed to Bitcoin payment system and we've seen how incredible the technology is, like fast transactions,  transparency, deflationary and so on, so if we imagine the world without Bitcoin there isn't gonna be much expectation, and you wouldn't have known that a technology like Bitcoin would exist in the first and think this way , rather the former payment system (fiat ) would still look good in our eyes and the world will move on with it.

It's guaranteed that 98% doesn't even know about it, the number is much higher than it used to be, but still nowhere near 98% at all. I am sure that the people who are aware of bitcoins existence reached like 70-80% for sure, maybe even a bit more, but that's it, 98% doesn't even probably know Antarctica exists, let alone bitcoin, there must be more than 2% that haven't heard about it yet.

Aside from that fact the investors of it, the real question here must be like less than 50% as well, from the people who heard about it, we have less than half of them investing into it as well. Which isn't bad, it means that we have a big room to grow and I am happy about that.

Just by reading the title I felt very empty for a moment as the whole thing flashed right in front of my eyes. I don’t think there is easy way to imagine this one because I’m so much involved into bitcoin now. It would feel way empty than hollow space!
I think we would have been thinking nothing but our career, jobs, some political talks everyday and May be some shitty tech that’s just been invented for entertainment or military purpose.
There wouldn’t had been any developments in the share market, just the usual forex and copy trades. No gaming evolution in terms of NFT. The art would have been the same old auction based sold sold!

No, if there happens to be no bitcoin again, it is going to affect a lot of people. Although that would depend if the question is Saying this in addition with other cryptocurrencies. If let’s say that there is no longer cryptocurrencies, you know that there would be companies that would be affected.

Lots of cryptocurrency companies or exchanges would stop to exist, and that would lead to people losing their jobs, and also investors losing their assets, so it’s really going to affect a lot of people. And also you would no longer have the type of freedom that you have when making use of Bitcoin for a transaction. You can’t have that same freedom when you are using Fiat for transactions.

Things will just go back in the things we normally do in doing transaction thru banks or online banking. Only those who already attached in crypto or bitcoin will be much affected. In my country there is still many who is aware of bitcoin exist but didn’t bother to use it. Though  the possibilities that bitcoin will be gone now is too impossible as many aims a decentralized system especially when it comes in finances and investments. More related ideas are coming because of this that’s why there is too many altcoins now.

The world will function normal except the extra benefit people are getting from being a bitcoiner and being part of this forum or any other crypto related forum will not exist. Bitcoin usage hasn't really spread world wild compare to fiat, but am so use to being part of crypto space that i don't think i want a world without it. i think for us who are familiar with this world, it will be extremely boring to not have it.

Considering that only a tiny percentage of the population of the world owns Bitcoin, a tiny portion of these people use Bitcoin regularly, that marketcap of Bitcoin is smaller than marketcap of some publicly traded companies, that Bitcoin processes hundreds of thousands transactions per day, while mainstream payment services process many-many millions; I would say the world would be largely the same. Sure, some people's lives would be absolutely different, but the life of an average person would not be affected.

Honestly, I'm old enough to have lived in a world where Bitcoin didn't exist And I remember it well. When I compare these two worlds, the current one with Bitcoin is better, because it gives people an alternative to become independent from the financial system.

I can only imagine and I realize how satoshi has really helped humanity through his(thier) invention of bitcoin and cryptographic payment system which gave birth to  the many internet currencies we refer to as cryptocurrencies today .

I imagined a world without bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and I a world of financial pain, a world of many jobless youths, a world filled with arm robbers, kidnappers, hired killers and several other criminal activities, a world filled with poverty, lack and want resulting to fights, health issues due to poor health facilities.

I can only Imagine, I personally have benefited immensely from satoshi's invention,  I am married with kids and I've been jobless since 2018, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies(this forum included) has been my only source of income, through satoshi's invention, I am able for feed well and feed my family too, I am able to send my daughters to good schools, I am able to afford good medical health care for myself and my wife and my beautiful daughters as well as many other family members too.
And I believe that as it is with me, so it is with many other people out there most especially, those in the third world countries, I honestly don't want to imagine what my life would have been like right now without bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

Because 37% of the population does not have access to the internet, the figure would not be 98%; additionally, because bitcoin is a technological advancement, there are still people that are unaware of it. But I think the OP is just stating this because he is overwhelmed that a lot of new people are now adapting to bitcoin and he noticed that everyone knows it. Let's just kinda see the other side for the OP and answer his question. I think it is still the same for me as before bitcoin was invented, but it has greatly affected the people who are earning from it.

If bitcoin does not exist, none of us will gather in this forum. Maybe there will be another technology but it will be different from blockchain and not be the same. Cryptocurrency is the only one while the world will remain like what we saw. Paypal and other similar payment systems can still lead their path to use online payment systems. Jobless will be like that and scamming will still be there, nothing changes but I do not know because I do not imagine something that I do not know.

Majority joined the crypto I think first heard of BTC before they got distracted and bought altcoins. But eventually they see altcoins to be useless and bought back BTC. When they been around for years and have seen the market in down trend for more than a year, theyd realize the importance of BTC in crypto.

Witbout BTC,  I think there will also be no altcoins and were still in fiat system not minding that we can't hedge our money from inflation.

Maybe it's 98% of the users of Bitcoins, we don't know we can't really get exact stats when we are talking about bitcoins and cryptocurrencies because everyday there is new stats that we can generally find.

Around 22% of the adult population holds Bitcoins in America therefore this stats is definately up and down.


It's not just about being useful, sometimes it's the necessity as well, it's basically necessary to make sure that you keep in touch with the tech as well, some places also have an internal necessity of using Bitcoins and other cryptos at the moment like *ukraine* *Russia* it's serving its role amazingly in the war as well. Therefore this also needs to be noted. When fiat fails people have something to back up to!

Maybe the OP thinks that 98% of the people in crypto wants to be a part of it because of all the benefit Bitcoin brings. There's no way that 98% of the world population is even aware of Bitcoin. I'm sure that substantial percentage of the world population have bigger concerns in mind than buying some BTC.

The future without Bitcoin will look the same as with Bitcoin in other words Bitcoin

Cryptocurrency Bitcoin has gone viral, it among the top 10 news in the world today. Bitcoin has been heard in so many ways either by testimonies of people on how they invest and make huge amount of money, how they are been scammed, how they lost their wallet seed phrase and can't recover it etc. But not everyone knows or want to ask why cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin is been created.

Bitcoin was created for individuals to freely make Financial transaction at any time around the world without relying on banks or governments.
