If you are taking an URL like this (using the img tags of course) : http://imgur.com/BXVn8SU , It's not going to work but if you take URL like this https://i.imgur.com/BXVn8SU.png it should work .

If the above image won't load, I'd probably recommend you to use postimg.org. They are not that well known, but they do the job fast and simple.
