My suggestion is to spend some time on the Ledger site learning about how it operates. I use the Ledger Nano S (it's not difficult) but it is very specific on how to interact with it and still have some minor issues when connecting to wallets. Also, read and follow the paperwork that came with it.

Thanks for taking the time Norcal,
Sure that's what I'm doing, trying to soak up all the info's before I start storing my coins in my Nano S, info from the Ledger site & all over. If I have to soak up some fees for moving amounts then so be it. I'm guessing from your reply you're not a user of Greenaddress? It's the only wallet I have coins in atm.
Now day 2 of " suss the nano s "!
Cheers  Cool

Hi,
Apologies, I have limited knowledge of all things crypto, I've bought some BTC over the last month or so & been using a Greenaddress wallet to store. I've now purchased a Ledger Nano S & wondering the best way to move my BTC into the Ledger.
Simply use my receive address and do a straight transfer into the Ledger? (will this cost me commisions/fees?)
Or import my Greenaddress account into the ledger?
I seem to get some sort of charge on all my transfers even to my self whilst I've moved some BTC around & wondered if I would avoid this by importing the Greenaddress account.
Thanks.
