Winding down.
Those scams will be recognized by our kids upon experiencing them. We may have given them the advice on how to find one and what are the signs of it. But still, there will be newer tactics that might catch them and eventually will fall for it. Starting to teach them related to finance and cryptocurrencies is opening their minds too young and they'll have the idea of how to take care of their money as soon as they grow up. As crypto/bitcoin knowledge will be fed to them, they'll have the upper hand over other kids that don't have parents who don't save and invest.
It will be an edge of them of having being taught how to save and invest in crypto, than to never taught at all. Because their experience will be a good weapon once they start facing not only the real fiat market but also crypto market as well. But i should say, investments can wait. At least that they have been taught about saving, then they are more capable on how to grow their savings by leading them into the world of investing once they have reach a matured age.

Just a heads up — totally appreciate the enthusiasm and it's good that you're going to teach finance, but you should probably heavily focus on finance and investing first, before going for cryptocurrencies. Really, crypto can wait — as it's not like they have thousands and thousands to put into the markets already anyway.
I think its not necessary that you have to teach your children with crypto in the first place, saving and investing even in fiat will make them good investors in the future and will be able to manage their finances well because of their experience. Crypto can be taught once they become matured and be able to understand its volatility, after all its kinda boring so bringing up crypto in their early childhood days will not be as effective as what we expected.

I don't really know the age that your kids falls into,  most  children don't take things seriousl that they have nothing to do with at age . But children behaviours differs , their are some children who are very young but they are so smart and intelligent to grab what they ate been taught. For the fact that they are kids it will be better if you put them through more how to avoid scammers and know their strategies,  and also teach them how to handle wallets and to keep passwords safe.

Yes you are right that mate and also every single kids had their own decisions in life, and yes it's good to teach our kids in their early age but we can not force them cause some kids take not seriously what you are teaching them then they will forget it in the future but some kids take serious and all information from you they will take it and use it in their matured age.  Teaching our kids is good but don't forced them.

Bitcoin = Financial freedom

The same goes for cryptocurrencies. I want childhood to be childhood, with games, sports, and the least influence of the Internet.

And the rest, as regards future life, must be taught when the personality of the child has already become ready to understand all the pluses and minuses of money.
Most of the parents actually force their kids to become what they wanted to achieve on their own but unable to do so they just expect their kids to fulfill but this is totally wrong, a kid can be anything even the billionaire but it should be with their own interest not by forcing them. All I wanted is to educate about the money as early as possible so they know the importance of money which may help them to choose their path based on their interest or passion.

Kids these days are very smart and tech friendly, they understand and can utilize technology and learn innovations sometimes better and faster than us after a while of being exposed to it due to their high level of curiosity. Teach a child early to the concept of blockchain technology by simple explanation that they can understand, if they can understand and they find the concept interesting, in a little while their childhood playfulness and creativity may offer other new applications for it. Teaching them early is good, but do not force it on them, and do not educate them at the expense of other childhood activities and experiences, there should be a balance.

Our time is the time when what money is, children learn very early. I do not welcome this. Everything must come in due time. In the absence of good stories, rules of conduct, morality, honesty, and kindness, everything is destroyed by the love of money.

I prefer to develop my children according to age so that any action is not evaluated in value, so that my son does not ask: "What will I get from this?"

The same goes for cryptocurrencies. I want childhood to be childhood, with games, sports, and the least influence of the Internet.

And the rest, as regards future life, must be taught when the personality of the child has already become ready to understand all the pluses and minuses of money.

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
Sometimes it scares me how crypto sounds more like a cult than just a financial tool. Why do kids need to know about altcoins, defi, NFT, trading, cryptography, wallets, blockchain and so on? They can't have any income, they should be focused on general development and not highly specialized adult fields with theoretical usefulness. Crypto has very little impact on the world, billions of people live their lives without them and it doesn't affect them in the slightest.

I am not an advocate of teaching children who are not upto the age of making independent financial decisions about Bitcoin. There is time and season for everything, when the time comes I will teach my children about them. But for the ages in Op, I will rather teach my children about coding and programming. Yes, they could be the back-end creators and when they reach to the age they can make some financial decisions, I will give them the opportunity to learn. Who knows I might have gathered some coins for them as start up capital.

Crypto is a way complicated for adults, so I won't bother my kids with it.

As crypto/bitcoin knowledge will be fed to them, they'll have the upper hand over other kids that don't have parents who don't save and invest.
I have to disagree with you, while it is good to start early, it is not what will determine the level of success, it is the interest, desire, effort and will to learn and continue with what you are taught that will determine the success later on.

Bitcoin devs, experts, people and enthusiasts with technical knowledge about Bitcoin today did not have their parents bore them with Bitcoin, Bitcoin was not even around when they were kids, so if they can be as good as they are with the network under a short time, it means there is more to it than just starting early.

Let kids be kids, talk to them only a little about it, and as they grow if their interest lies in the blockchain technology, they would only get better from there on. You can also educate them about saving and investing without talking too much about Bitcoin and the technical parts of it, Bitcoin is not the only form of investment.
I am not saying those kids that don't have parents teaching them how to save and invest will fail. But what I'm saying, is children that has parents who are teaching them these things will have the advantage over them at an early stage. I went through that reality and it was quite late when I was taught these topics and knowledge that I should have gained early. I agree to you that it's still the interest that these kids have but if we're giving them the idea and teaching them these, they'll have the advantage that they'll won't go through the same experience as mine as I'm ignorant during my younger days and was only knocked by the hard reality too late.

There's nothing to educate about cryptocurrencies in such young age, referring mostly to 9-year olds. They should do their homework, meet their friends, play some video game, but 'til there. They can't think critically yet. Their brain isn't developed enough. And they don't have the appropriate social environment either.

Save in bitcoin and gift it to them once they grow up. Trigger them to find out what's about it.

What do you mean? 9 year olds won't be able to understand the anarchistic goal of the cypherpunk community to dethrone the secret banking cabal because of them having too much monetary influence over society? Huh

Seriously though, yea. Proper saving is enough. No need to shove Bitcoin down kids throats lmao.

There’s also the other side of the moon to stories like the one about the mining kids. Besides what @stompix pointed out, cases that are exceptions do have their danger side to them if not fully contextualized, leading to many others to believe that they can achieve the same when, in fact, the conditions under which they occur are rather unique. The "Kid making $30000 monthly income" will stick as the simplified overall version of the story, which is not the real takeaway.

There was in the past already a thread like that here , i guess it was this one here Educate and teach the youngins about Bitcoin.
And i still say the same as i have done on the other thread , just let them be Children and let them do what children normaly doing in this Age.
You can teach them when they are coming for them self and asking about the things that have to do with Crypto and the technical stuff.
If you teach them to early about financially things they will be missing other important stages in there younger life.

Importance Of early Cryptocurrency Education for Children

Old story and actually shows something different, the importance of having a father that is wealthy enough to let you invest $150k at least at the right moment.
Read philipma1957 answer on this, it has nothing to do about teaching and education, it's an about a father who buys ready assembled hydra cases throwing tens of thousands of dollars on each batch.

Rather than being inspiring it actually points out one thing, no matter how intelligent and educated you are, if you lack money, it will always be harder for you.

I agree with you on this because at tender age it's important kids have a clear knowledge about financial management and investments so that it will help them to adapt easily in any environment they found themselves now or in time to come but we can also give our kids hints about cryptocurrency especially when they can access computers and smartphones so that when they get older it will not be strange to them anymore, we don't force it on them anyways.

I agree that children should be taught about money, its function and how to make it. We no longer think constantly about working for money because money can actually do it for us and it is an investment. These investing lessons should be learned step by step and these kids should not be introduced to crypto right away if investing and trading is the end goal.

Prepare them first with the right knowledge, teach them what money does and tell them about places that have the potential to make money. They can get involved at any time as long as they are mentally and knowledge prepared, so there are many stages to go through to find out how it works.

I agree, the focus should first be on exposing children to the various aspects and ways of finance and investment before the introduction to crypto. Crypto knowledge especially in our present time is important, but not the only thing a child should know as regards finances and investing especially since there is a very long life ahead of them within which some other digital advancement may spring up. A child should be equipped and intimated with enough financial knowledge to be able to navigate and adapt to any financial situation they may face regardless of if the existence of crypto remains or not.

among all other things I choose to teach them cryptocurrency BTC, teaching them the basic fundamental knowledge on the value for money and financial discipline, how to own and operate cryptocurrency related activities, How to recognize scam and most importantly the technicalities around Bitcoin/crypticurrency

it is very important to teach our young ones about Cryptocurrency because that's the evolution we are into in this contemporary world of economic system, and we have to be mindful of how we make this approach on them not to get the wrong perspective thereof, we could see how effective children are keen to learning.

we have to make it base on stages and give it a timing so as not to complicate their knowledge about money and financial circumstance, we can as well start with the introduction of crypto jingles, arts, cards, books, playing materials, and many crypto incrypted materials to first set their mind on the basics of bitcoin/cryptocurrency, children are the leaders and future of tomorrow.

International children's day is on Sunday, November 20. Today is Friday, May 27 children's day in Nigeria, not international children's day.

In my country Children's day is in June 1st.
But indeed, it depends greatly on the country / region.
Still, don't minimize the importance of June 1st, the list of countries celebrating Children's day then is not small.

Thanks, act for correcting me on that, I have edited the part that includes International children's day. I was I bit too lazy to search if the children's day celebration is a national one or global children's day, the importance of early education in children can not be overemphasized and that includes cryptocurrency education because Bitcoin is the currency of the future.

The technical info can be even more boring.
It can be boring but not boring if making money is there.

But no, getting kids take care of a mining farm looks as child labor to me; that can break and needs fixed (i.e. needs technical skills) or can get on fir if not done properly. Heat and noise (in case of Bitcoin miners) can be also not suitable for kids.
No child labour there, the kids were even happy for what their father did for them, I mean the mining rig. Age also should be considered, as the child is growing, the better it goes.

While teaching them, like a game, this or that (I've thought my son to use hardware wallet, but he doesn't know the implications), I think that pushing financial information too early will not really help (it's too much information, too much background to be told and can easily become boring). The technical info can be even more boring.
Yeah, starting a miner and seeing it hashing can also be fun.

My opinion is, especially as Children's Day is near, is to let the children be children. Let them enjoy their childhood, even if that means a bit bigger effort for you.
There will be time for teaching them these things when they'll get bigger. Now it's their time to play.

happy Children's day
I never new how exciting and important children day was until I and my spouse welcomed our child recently and since then I have taken everything that relate to children very important, as children reminds us of the purity of nature.
So I started reminiscing on the important things I can teach my children at their early stages that will have a lifelong positive impact on them and among all other things I choose to teach them cryptocurrency BTC, teaching them the basic fundamental knowledge on the value for money and financial discipline, how to own and operate cryptocurrency related activities, How to recognize scam and most importantly the technicalities around Bitcoin/crypticurrency
This was born out of the motivation I got from my previous thread about the 14 years boy and the sister who are earning multiple stream of income from mining on their gaming computer, with the help of the father you can check it here:
I was amazed by this news of 14 years old and his 9 years sister making a living through ethereum mining which generates them $32k monthly income, this is so incredible and highly commended, the kids use their old gaming computer to start up this amazing business and there are already expanding. I guess our kids are already taking advantage of the gains of blockchain and are already doing amazing stuff through the blockchain.
Kid making $30000 monthly income.
