Self confidence is simply taken bold step when others are afraid of doing a particular thing. Like many people would want to see who has made it through a particular part before they can as well join that chanell. But when you said you want to follow that way that everyone is afraid of and later succeed it is called self confidence. Same thing applicable in this forum. I know many people where doubting themselfs how they can be able to rankup in this forum and participate in signature campaign because some people said it is very hard, that many people who went into it could not achieve its goal, but when you take a bold step, you disproved the motion of being hard to achieve it. So self confidence is doing what others fail to do and succeed. Not only in this forum but in what ever we do outside we should be self confident. But what basically cause lack of self confidence is the fear of the unknown, negative talks and wrong advice from family and friends.

I think self confidence in psychology is called self esteem which means knowing your worth, for anyone to believe in you, you must first believe in yourself. Everyone has a role to play in life and no one should over his or her role by bringing yourself down to appraise others, no you shouldn't.

You know there are more people who discuss about self confidence but a few really practices it, I have gone to places where my cognitive process tells me I don't belong here but I have that believe in myself that even though I don't I will have to adapt and belong as long as I'm interested in being there. Fortunately, the people I saw myself low for are even looking at me as high than they are but intellectually and emotionally and because I'm had the confidence that I can fit in everywhere I mad it out from the crowd.

It's very important to be confident enough to take actions, but in relation to this forum, I'm aware that posts of this nature's are more of motivation to ones self maybe because one is still very tender here and the feeling of giving up is striking the heart. But just take a good look at what you thought others and make it a stepping stone for yourself.

Self-confidence is the ability to tolerate and embrace defeat. It's vital to remember that failure is a normal part of life and does not define us. In fact, it may frequently serve as an engine for personal and professional development. It's critical to surround ourselves with positive individuals who believe in us and can assist us gain confidence. Having a support network that promotes and celebrates our triumphs, whether it be friends, family, coworkers, or even mentors, may have a significant impact on our self-confidence. Lack of self confidence mostly comes when you don't know your worth and possibly when you've been talked down on or looked down on in the past and you use that to paint an image of yourself which in most cases is absolutely different from who you are as a person. Regardless of how skilled and talented you're, if your confidence level is small, you will certainly achieve little compared to what you are capable of. From our little days in high school, the confident once have always paved way for themselves and have always achieved greater things thank most brilliant ones that don't even know how to express themselves. In the real world, no one takes someone that do want believe in himself seriously and as long as you are not bold and confident enough to express your ideas well, you're bent to miss out of most serious opportunities.

Lack of self-confidence can also arise when you’re not well-versed in the topic you’re discussing. If you feel uncomfortable or lacking in confidence, it’s important to understand why. Often, it’s because you’re not adequately prepared or knowledgeable about the subject matter. This can lead to feelings of inadequacy and a belief that others know better.

Another factor is not recognizing your own worth. When you’re still discovering your capabilities and potential, it’s easy to lose confidence. Instead of embracing your unique approach to problem-solving, you might try to imitate others, leading to a loss of confidence. While it’s natural to begin by emulating others, as you mature, it’s crucial to understand your strengths and how you can contribute uniquely to your community based on your talents.
