Sadly true that there are so much scammers around , but yes the best is always forum pm to confirm it's really the person behind skype who claim to be
Many people do not follow "best practices" when it comes to trading. They are too used to being 'protected' by their credit card companies.

I do think the fact that the name mentioned "bitcoin talk" is pretty much a giveaway that the account is not backed by the "real" john k

Could you link me to where it says that? Cause if you can prove feedback to be false/misleading you should be able to dispute it to get it removed. In any case, please link.

I can confirm that mods do not remove any feedbacks at all. Most mods/admins have got false negative feedbacks too from multiple people. People like Vod/Tomatocage who call out scams get the most false feedbacks Wink . Anyhow, feedback left by untrusted people do not show up in default, so that's not a big deal.
There is one exception to this rule. Trust rating spam. If someone posts multiple ratings with the same context, they will be removed. That is what theymos told me (and did) after I got spammed with negative feedback from a scammer.

what do the different depths mean in the Trust Network, under the Trust Settings.

Anyone trusted by a member of depth x is in depth x+1

By default the level to which you see is set at 2. It means that feedback of members tilll level 2 will show up in th trust score by default. They will be trusted feedback for you.

You can use your own trust list instead of the provided Default Trust list.

I saw this feedback myself, i declined because he wanted paypal and this is why i think he posted his

3 posts and nothing so far from him i can live for that

You should probably PM a mod or admin. Someone who can look into that and resolve it for u. Unless you actually scammed them, in that case you probably wouldn't want to attract the attention of a mod. Best of luck with that.

But wait, in your feedback in says you scammed someone for over $500. I'm guessing you're lurking the Scam Accusation forum to see if there are any threads about yourself? I ended up here cause I had to post a warning about an imposter.

The best is to not use any kind of messenger and post it in your sig space and profile Smiley

...and it is for this type of problem that I don't use skype , I prefer only to use the forum pm or telegram.

Geeze! I wonder how many people this guy got.

Things like this happening are actually somewhat of an argument to remove/relax PM restrictions as doing so would have less business that originates here be finalized on places like skype

Hopefully no one at all. Sad
