Even if the registration will be changed to a more secure one it will not prevent scammers. Scammers get away with their scam because some people don't know how to spot one. The thing is if people are educated and i they are willin to hink more before putting their coins on the table then i will be prevented. Remember, prevention is better than cure.

Scams are happening because people are too lazy to think. They are used to being in the protective net of payment processors with reversible transaction option.
If you deal with someone you don't know good enough to send him your bitcoin then why did you do it in the first place? Learn to think about consequences of your trading.

The system is perfectly great!
The very first rule of thumb here is simply not to make deal with the not reputable member or simply use escrow. Keep your guard all the time so you won't get scammed. If it seem like too good to be true then be prepared.

Scammers somehow help the economy and they're always looking for ways even on other forums, even in the offline world.

How can we improve such steps to remove scammers from this site?

You can't remove them but I've got a foolproof way individuals can use to stop scammers: Stop willingly sending them your money. Problem solved.

Should we add couple of registration steps or should admin of this page put escrow on each transaction?

People should be in charge of their own money but whether you want to use escrow or not is up to the parties involved. If you don't use one and you get scammed you haven't really got anyone else to blame though.

I think with the new forum coming things will be much better for us. Right now people don't even need to verify their email before registering... They can just register as many accounts as they want.

There is really no viable way to stop mass registers. The fact that you don't need to verify the email doesn't really mean anything since you still need to use an email, you can't be using a random one, right?

Sure you can, in fact people have lost accounts because they used a mail address they did not control. If you however own a domain you can easily create as many fake mail addresses you want, since they are all under your control. You can also just use [email protected].

Dude, the admins here leave the scam busting up to us, the bct members.  If they were going to take any sort of steps (like the ones you suggested), they would have already.  Scamming isn't even against the rules here, and so you're probably going to be fighting a losing battle if you want staff to do something.

There are plenty of folks here who do their best to warn others and give red trust when scams come up, and that's how it's dealt with.  I had, at one point, suggested the lending section be nuked altogether, and it went over like a lead balloon. Tongue
This is something that could potentially have the site in trouble. I have a feeling OP might be some kind of detective.
Really?  The site itself isn't scamming, and I'm not sure what sort of liability bct has.  I don't think it has the obligation to shut scammers down at all--and as far as I know, they haven't been called to the carpet for it.

The trust system is already enough for removing the scammers. If you have gotten scammed, you could easily post a scam accusation thread in trading discussion and that person will be marked as a scammer.

For ban evaders the Points of Evil are already there to prevent them from registering more alts, so that's sufficient as well.

Nothing else really that must be put in place, it'll be costly and time consuming.
It's very easy to do a ban evasion here, and ban evaders can just change up their behavior really quickly, create alts, make small but meaningful transactions, get their trust up easily and post all over the site with signature campaigns. It's very easy to just start over a new over the internet with the help of VPN'S. Besides, sometimes people get negative feedback incorrectly.
