In my opinion, when the Imtoken password is lost or forgotten, there is no solution to withdraw and access it again. because the password is the most important thing to protect properly. I think you have to be able to give up the assets or tokens in Imtoken.
yes, of course, no one can open a wallet that has lost access, so keep and record properly any wallet that has a high encryption code because if you lose one, you can't enter the cryptocurrency wallet. My advice is to note it well, for example, Google Drive or whatever is easy for you to remember.

Do you read above post before hitting the send button?

It happened on me before. The trick here is just use another phone or mobile device. Then import again the mnemonics or private keys for that wallet.

Just installed the app again on your extra phone and unlocked it. The app would trigger you for a new password for imtoken then thats it wallet access already.

Like many have mentioned, the password works only on that device where you created. Once you have the private key you can always imported your account to other device and let you register for new one. Hope you learn your lesson of reading before even comment here.

Give up the asset just like that? What if he has 100eth do you think that is something can be acceptable just due to a mere password?

It's always been a golden rule to back up phrases or private keys before and after creating wallet and keep it in a safe place  because it's the only way you can recover it in the future when badly needed. Hence, only password is forgotten i supposed private keys and phrases are safe by then. So, it's just a minor problem and you can recover it in no time thru importing those keys in imtoken or even trust wallet app is highly recommended.

First thing first, just relax and go through the phrase with a relaxed mind, if you have written it down, try to use it again probably you are missing something out of anxiety and also try to use Trust wallet to recover cos I had a situation where I tried using my mnemonic phrase on imtoken but it didn't work but worked perfectly with Trust wallet

My mistake.

I just realized I forgot my ImToken password (I need the password to withdraw and access the mnemonics). I know it's (99.9%) impossible to retrieve but if anyone has any solutions I am all for it.

On the good side it's very little locked tokens.

do you have the private key of the wallet you can still retrieve it if at least save the private key and login using that  private keys you own  If not then its impossible to take it back to you.

It was all due your responsibility to take care of your password at the first place because it is your access to your account since you are the one who have created it so you better know to yourself that you should have take note of your password for no one will know it except your own self. But that was just a common mistake people do because maybe you are just too busy on other things making your mind occupied that makes you forget your password.

You do not have to worry about it if you have your recovery seed or private key with you because it is another way out on how you can access your account. That would be your last resort or option once you have forgotten your password. Wallets and exchanges do always take note of saving the private key or recovery seed for situations like this so you must have it saved on your device or even at a piece of paper.

If you do not have that, then basically you are out into some trouble because you have been to confident and I can say irresponsible for not saving all the necessary things you must saved when you have created your account. Better this serve as a lesson that whenever you make account, always do back up save your password on your device or a piece of paper that you can easily locate. The security of your account depends on those information so you better took good care of those the next time around you will make a new account.

OP it's never too late if you have control over your recovery seed, download trust wallet and import your recovery seed you will have your tokens back, if you've lost access to your private keys it's the end for your tokens, I don't think that imtoken team can help on this

its sad because there is nothing that can be done except if you have the private keys. first things first, always save your passwords and important things to a place you can easily access it. having the private keys would have saved you alot of stress and loss.

Don't tell me that you don't copy out the recovery seed before forgetting your password? If this is the case then you've lost access to your private key, if you've copied out before then import into another wallet like trust wallet

BTW, where is the OP? Do you read all of the advice from the member here?
What is your problem? Solved or not?
There are many questions and also advice for you and you do not come back here. If this mater has been solved, so closed or lock this thread.
Basically, you do not only need a password to access your Imtoken but you can also use the private key or event mnemonic phrase. if you still have the two, you can still access it. But if you don't have them, it means that you lost everything. please be patient and careful to check and search for those important data days be on your phone, Gmail, or others.
This always becomes the lesson for all people here to be more careful.

I'm just so confused right now, I was going through my diary and I saw my eth wallet for my imtoken, there are some ether in it, but I've been trying to retrieve it back through the mnemonic and it's not working, please I need an urgent reply.

You are probably making a mistake with the mnemonic phrase, it doesn't change. Be sure to input the correct case (it's case sensitive) and also do not leave a gap at the end. I hope you get it right, just don't rush when inputting the mnemonic phrase.

Imtoken wallet password offers two level of security measures which is seen in token transactions and in accessing the private keys.
On one hand, I think forgetting the password doesn't cause a big issue so far you have your private keys, so with the private keys you can easily import in another wallet and get your tokens.
But on the other hand, if you cannot find your private keys, then there is nothing that can be done other than trying to remember the password, with it, you can get the private keys.

The imToken password only works for sending balances and accessing private keys, I hope you keep a private key for full management of your own wallet. All forms of passwords are recommended to be saved especially regarding your assets.

If you had saved you mnemonic phrase or copy out your private key  from imtoken then even when you lose your password you shouldn't have a problem . All you need do is claim back your wallet by importing using either the private key or mnemonic phrase which you saved while creating the wallet.
I'm using the mnemonic but it keeps on saying incorrect, I don't know what's wrong, I'm having a feeling that I might have copied the wrong mnemonic phrase and it's hard to guess the right one

As for Imtoken, the password is just to prevent another person from sending out or selling your tokens, also even if lost or forgotten it won't lock you out. The only solution is to import the said wallet on another crypto mobile wallet, in this case you can download and use trust wallet or you can still use Imtoken in another phone. Therefore by using the private key or as the case maybe you can easily regain your wallet back while setting another password depending on the type of crypto wallet you imported to.

I think the op problem is clear, op only forgetting passwords is not a private key, it does not have the slightest problem to restore the existence of the wallet and make a transaction again, the ImToken password can be changed at any time if lost or forgotten
caranya bagaimana gan, saya juga lupa pasaword jadi ga bisa tranaaksi. Mohon bantuannya...
Jadi saya harus hapus aplikasi imtoken, lalu instal lagi gan? Apakah saldo saya tidak hilang?

it's impossible pal to recover in my opinion unless if there's a support wherein you can send a message for recovery . Must lesson learned and next time always make a back up for it because that's is the most important things when it come for the safety of our  money .  Did you already try to make a search in google ? because maybe there are some experts about it that can help you out on that problem.

You cannot retrieve the password but you can still have your tokens. You can get your private key on imtoken then open your account in different wallet like trust wallet, or Myetherwallet. Just create a new account on imtoken if you still want to use it. I guess your problem is solved! Be careful next time.

There is nothing you can do on your imtoken application without your password, the only solution now is your private key, if you have your private key you can import your account on MEW then all your problem is solved you don't need password to send out tokens on MEW.

The main thing is not to lose the private key. I believe that it can be stored on a separate night to not lose. With a password, everything is much simpler, how you can recover it. In general, you need a responsible attitude to such things.

Sorry about your mistake. Please be careful as not to repeat such mistake again. Always write down your password if you can't memorise them. Save them in a secure place.
To remedy the situation on ground, if you have your mnemonic phrase(12 words)  or your private key, then you need not worry. Just import your wallet by using the private key or mnemonic phrase and you will be fine.

Well we really need to be careful with things that pertains to our wallets, always ensure to write and save it somewhere.
Talking about you forgetting  your password,  just look for your private Key or your mnemonic phrase, I am sure you should have one of them , import the wallet  using any of them, and you are good to go

Forgetting passwords is a very annoying thing, but there must be a way, and you should make an imtoken again and enter the private key to create it again.

The password to imtoken or any cryptocurrency wallet is really not that important if you havr your private key/mneumonic phrases, you can always delete the app, install a new one and then import you wallet phrase to retrieve your tokens.I am assuming you write it down somewhere, because thays the heart of your wallet

You just said that you need the password to withdraw, which means you are logged into the account, all you need to do is find where you stored the mnemonic phrase when you were opening the wallet, then logout from the wallet and login again with your mnemonic phrase, you can then set the password to whatever you like.

I think in this process if you don't have any problem if you forget your password for your wallet there are private key is very helpful to recover your wallet easily so if you are wallet ID password will be lost it will be helpful to regain it very easily that's why private keys are very important to be safe in perfect place.

if you still have your private keys or the 12 words you can re-import your wallet and create another brand new password the role of the password is the encryption of your keys in the device

You don’t need to panic; all you have to do is find your private key or pass phrase
Then you delete your imtoken app

Download it again and install basic necessary apps; then you can set new passwords and use your wallet again

Alternatives is too use MyEtherWallet or metamask

I see that the farther, the more we acquire various sorts of passwords and access codes. This is gradually becoming not a virtue, but a lack of cryptocurrency. Even in the records it is already quite difficult to store. Many even because of this will not use cryptocurrency.
And if you need to use cryptocurrency from a mobile phone, making various purchases on the spot, the second problem will be the theft of mobile phones along with the passwords entered into them. Here, many will think it would not be easier to use ordinary paper money again.

Don't you have a backup wallet on another device? for example metamask or something.
if you have you must export the private key from the wallet. but if there is none you will lose all assets because the system does not have the "forget password" feature

Do you save the private key from each wallet at Imtoken?
then all wallets can still be accessed on MEW or by import wallet on imtoken
another solution, by accessing it using phrases, everything returns to normal
I guess if he was saving the privatekey and he will never try to ask about that here. It seems like he was also not creating any backup to the private key and if that was true and that's impossible to recover or import the wallet.

Mistakes are bound to happen, but before creating your wallet, you must have been told to save or write down your mnemonic phrase, and also keep your private key secret. With your mnemonic phrase or private key, you can always get back to  your wallet.

If you forgot password, you don't have a problem. Use the private key or mnemonic phrase on another wallet (import),  for example Trust wallet and you won't need the imtoken password again. Or import afresh to imtoken since you can create multiple wallets on imtoken and then delete the one with forgotten password. It's that simple.
