2018 is going to be another crazy year for bitcoin. However, it is not going to take out alts but it will go hand in hand. Like bitcoin, alts market will increase to a whole new level. Let me list out my reasons,
1. Bitcoin will be adopted by more mainstream corporations in 2018. So we can expect more white money coming into bitcoin increasing its credibility and acceptability.
2. During the recent network congestion, a lot of people have moved their money to alts like ETH and Ripple. So I expect a lot of people who are frequent transactors will continue to use those alts because of their technical superiority. So an worthy altcoin will surely keep its head high amidst high competition.
I believe, in 2018, we will see only worthy and useful coins to stand out as investors are now equipped with more insights and knowledge to make good things happen.

or will alt coins survive and eventually overtake bitcoin, or will bitcoin and alt coins continue to rise simultaneously? Please provide your reasoning.
