Live in America surrounded by retards, nut jobs, predatory stalkers, etc... Some of the churches seem to be run by power tripping fanatics that will do,say almost anything and try to shame others to build up their own ego, and pocket books. Are the prisons just too full? Time to start handing out more than just slaps on the wrist while we still have some people left in our society that are still worth saving.
Be hopeful. People are doing their best to fix the issues you are describing, for the good of future generations...

Even if you normalise the level of stupidity so it's the same everywhere, if you compare 300 million people against 30 million, there's always going to be 10 times more 'newsworthy' crap with the higher population.
