Thanks for the ultra quick shipment and fast responses to my questions. I never expected the miner to ship on a Saturday, but you made it happen. The FC chips must vary widely because I'm getting an average of 490 GH/s (without overclocking).  I think the specs advertised were 460 GH/s, so it's performing better than expected.  It was easier to set up than I thought as well. Thanks for the 4- port USB hub and RPi power adapter. It's nice to power the Pi directly from the psu rather than sacrificing a micro USB cable as the power cord.

Would additional cooling improve the performance? If so, do you have suggestions on fan placement?

Thanks again, I may be buying another soon!

No worries bro. I would suggest the R3 units next time. They are more stable and have better design overall. Although the advertised speed is 450 -500 gh/s. My batch just arrived so will be posting pictures soon.

Additional cooling helps a bit. Are in house units seem to perform 3-4% better with box fans blowing behind them. Also swapping the fan from pull > push might help as well.

That is a good suggestion. Also there is an issue with thermal paste. One board stopped working, after taking it apart I found loads of thermal paste was seeping into the circuit boards. Cleaned it up and it was ready to go again.
