If you are usa based I would be willing to sell you amd 5500xt's

Hi, sorry but I have been living in Spain for a short time (A couple of months since the discovery of the covid) for work...

I have continued looking for gpus or rig frames and someone has made me an offer for a rig with 6 gpus rtx 3070 with 365Mh/s for 8,500€ (Approx 10,000$).

It is from a computer store, they give me invoices with a two-year guarantee (The guy has told me that everything is new) and others and although I don´t know everything that the rig has (I haven´t asked), I´m in the same... I think it's a lot of money and with the 1559 I don't know if the roi will develop normally....

What do you think, is it worth it ?? The truth is that I don´t know what to do...

For me, the easiest thing would be to stay away until we see what happens from July, but on the other hand, I would like to have this experience...

Thanks and regards Smiley

Hello, I think that apart from what happened, you have said everything...

The guy who was going to sell me the gpus has sold them and is trying to sell me others, I think the 1660, at a price of gold, so for now, I will not do anything. I will be entering the forum and as usual, collecting information, especially what happens from July...

The gpus were not expensive, but buying the 1660 I think is risky because I don't see the roi very clear, the truth Sad

So nothing, thank you very much for your comments, guys, I appreciate all the comments, really Smiley

Thanks and regards.

I talk about them here.

I buy video cards from miners and sell used video cards. The miner will never cheat, he will honestly tell how much time the video card mined cryptocurrency. It is dangerous to buy from second-hand dealers on websites selling used items, because they can deceive you
Get to know the miners of your city or region on social networks and trade with them.

The problem with buying older GPU's, especially from the era of the 2017 mining craze, is you don't know how hard the cards have been run. The cards you link being mining cards, I would wonder why they are selling them being mining is currently as profitable as it has ever been. Adaseb is also not a fan of Gigabyte Windforce fans (no pun intended).

IMO, if you want to buy used, I would look to buy locally 1-2 cards at a time from a gamer if possible.
Bad idea, even gamers are into mining too, they can easily sell cards for you pretending to be full time gamers only, for example I game on PC and I'm also into mining 24/7, I can easily lie to you that I game with the card only, I can even make video of me gaming and you will believe me

Sure, it could be a miner pretending to be a gamer or, a gamer that is selling his old rig to build a new one, no guarantee's. In any case, I think overpaying for old GPU's looking to invest in to mining is especially risky in many ways since once the profitability goes down, you will never recover the cost you overpaid for old hardware.

Don't ever think about buying used gpus, few will die before you make back your return of investment, if you are too worried about the price of gpu right now I'd say you need to come back after bull season is over, returns will be lower but you will build better rigs for future bull season, I have a friend that bought 8x rx580s in 2019 at 150$ each now he is a king because he makes more money than those who buying rx580 at 500$ today

These video cards with unlocked at 8gb give a result of 36-40 megahash when mining Ethereum. (Depends on overclocking and power consumption of the video card)
I cannot say whether this is a good buy or not, because you need to look at the state of the mining farm.
In my country, these video cards cost $ 600-700.
How much money do you need to buy this 320 megahash mining farm?
Buying used equipment is always a big risk, and these video cards have been in mining for more than three years

Hello, newbie here, first post and eager to learn Smiley

I've been reading a lot since February posts on this forum, reddit one and a lot of youtube videos and I know its a rare time to invest some money.

The only thing that has pushed me back and been cautious has been the EIP1559 but if I have not misunderstood, the "only" thing that will happen is that it will decrease the profit of the transactions but it will be possible to continue mining for one or two more years until eth2.0 comes (If I'm wrong, please, correct me...).

I want to try mining, yes, with a modest investment... I don´t have the classic mining friend, nor a neighbor who has tried it, that is, I start alone and blind without knowing if I am going to crash against a wall or to be a great experience (I hope it's the second Tongue )

And so far, the presentation of what I intend to do, now, what i have in mind:

8 x gpus like this, unlocked at 8gb (Very cheap compared to the madness of the 30XX):

https://www.gigabyte.com/es/Graphics-Card/GV-NP104D5X-4G#kf

1 x Rebtech motherboard:

https://rebtech.ai/pf/rebtech-8gpu-mb-amd-a6-8500-4g-ddr3-120g-msata-8-x-usb-pciex/

I don't want to pay 3 times what a 30XX is worth, much less to buy 6. With the price of 2 of these, I buy those 8, that motherboard and other things like a server psu...

As you see ??
How do you think, that experiment could be successful ??
Do you think the group can work to mining ethereum ?? (If I'm not mistaken, I think the rate is around 320Mh/s...)
You see possible the assembly of the mini rig ??
I'm losing my time and my money ??

I appreciate any comments based on what I just explained Smiley

Thank you and regards Smiley
