ICO are everywhere and hundreds of them are listed in dxsales, pink sales etc. Those that are chasing this get rich quick type of project can tell you that, the fastest way to lose money is to participate in these scammy icos! If you are interested in investing in new project, you should look for legit platform for such project! Binance have launchpad for new project, there are other exchanges with different offerings, you should search for those!

This is the ideal, however I can say that there are many good ways to find ICO projects that can be reliable:

1.-Search in Bitcointalk, here the guarantee is greater, since many members are aware of their own investigations and are hardly wrong.

2-Search in CMC the projects that are currently being top, and see them, investigate them and decide if it is good to make an investment or not.

If at least these two are met, it is likely to find an ICO project that can benefit, however the trend is not based on ICOs, the trend is currently taking place in NFT games and everything that has to do with NFTs.

I would actually recommend staying away from anything which isn't Defi. That being said, you also need to know the quality of a project before you invest. Look at the team, their experience, their work and how much of work they are putting in, on a daily basis. Secondly look at the people backing them. If you can't find any institutional investors or big name partners backing them, then also stay away.

If they are worth their salt then they will have had an amazing presale/private sale. If they come to the public crowdsale phase with but only lint in their pockets... Well.. That just says everything about them you need to know.

ICOs aren't safe, the project can just walk away with your money and often they want you to give KYC. IDOs are more secure and they don't require KYC, they are managed by smart contracts. My favorite IDO platform is Skyward Finance. I've found some real gems on there, like OCT and Paras. OCT for example is competing with Polkadot and it's really under the radar. I easily doubled my money so far plus I can stake OCT in Ref Finance for additional rewards. OCT staking is coming soon and they are giving away 200k USD in OCT tokens to participants in the most recent Skyward IDO for DIEP token.

ICOs of 2017 is like NFTs of 2021. Mostly pump and dumps.
Simple and easy answer. Good to see that at least some people in this forum have actually been using their intellect properly.

Know the people behind them. It is critical to know the nature of the company and the teams behind ICOs. ...
Team is good but even then the coin can fail because of advisors dumping their tokens, which is typically the case when their lock in period ends. The investors never know this and they think the dump was due to bounty hunters. The reality is different, but it is easy to blame the hunters.

Quote
Go for disruptive concepts. ...
Rarely, my friend do such concepts actually happen to crypto. They would rather go with the mainstream IPO market.

Quote
Evaluate the technology. ...
Nitpick the white paper. ...
Know what the coins are for.
Most retail investors cannot evaluate properly, though this is not their mistake, it was never their job in the first place. However going through whitepaper will never give you the actual idea of what the project is doing. Today it is very easy to copy paste a whitepaper or modify a copied whitepaper to fit your project. Whether it will deliver or not, is a different thing.

It all depends on the ICO that what you choice, you must research ICO who has a good future plan and read carefully whitepaper, all of which have point factors such as :
  • Investors
  • Partners
  • Technology ecosystem used

Every choice must be researched by yourself to minimize the risk you get because whatever your choice is, it is your responsibility

ICO is intended for raising in a project. when the project is launched on several social media, of course investors and crypto enthusiasts will invest if they are interested in the project holding ICO. with the aim that if the project is successfully listed on the exchange, they will benefit from their participation when making purchases in the ICO

But with so many choices like this it makes investors very dizzy to choose a project that actually produces something big. there are some projects that look good with ongoing ICOs but end up with bad things or other problems. so this becomes more difficult in my opinion. You can imagine many investors complaining about what they have invested but not getting anything.

Despite the large offer, in fact it is very difficult to buy coins of a good project. Where we see well-known funds among investors, you will be able to buy coins only at the stage of public sale. But one wish will not be enough, you will need more luck to win a small allocation in the lottery.

Hi everyone

we hear less about ICOs than a few years ago. I Know that several website exist where we can find information about the next ICO, but who is going to invest in some of them in the following weeks ? Which one and why ?

ICOs and IEOs has left the shore most investors now dwell more on NFTs but every process is risky and opened to scammers so I don't mind listing some ICOs I would include to my project once I am done doing my research although the research isn't still satisfactory in terms of investment advice but it would help guide me on more riskiest ICOs

I would say that the days of the traditional ICOs, where  projects collected a huge amount of money like the filecoin ICO or the Tezos ICO back in 2017 or so are pretty over. Nowadays we are having private sales and public sales that are collecting way less money then back then but of course are more exclusive and for most of them you have to join one of those private sale groups or launchpads like DuckDao, Poolz or Polkastarter. For each of those launchpads you have to own their native token so it is almost impossible to be part of every launchpad because that would be extremely expensive. So you just have to choose for yourself.

We all think ICO has become a thing of past but unfortunately it's some greedy scammers who looted people and abandoned the projects in middle or listed them in some exchanges with low volume like MCX, etc wherein investors have lost huge Chuck and became skeptic about ICO projects. Now we have IEO, IDOs and it's bit difficult to be a part of these programs.

In the crypto market there are so many ICO projects. So , do your on research and be the part of them . There are huge number's of projects so you can easily participate in it.
ICOs are no longer a special hope for some investors so there is no need to research them like in the past, because your time will be very valuable to be thrown into ICOs whose popularity has begun to sink slowly.

I will try to invest in https://www.guildofguardians.com/ - it's a super project that does coinlist listings well I have high Karma in my account and in all recent projects I enter without problems.
Good choice mate as most projects in Coinlist are trusted and legit or OP can try using Launchpads, IDO which is less risk compare to ICO. I have so many bad investments in ICO last 2018 and most of them today are nothing to be found but they collected millions of dollars.

Ooops. I almost forgot this Gem game. I purchased there NFT on Presale and I earn shitons of money on reselling it on marketplace. I don't have any update about there ICO after that since it took them so long to introduce the token for the game. Its good that I read your post and check it immediately. Good thing that they are listed on coinmarketcap and post the details on how to participate.

I already finished the registration but the sad part was it requires a KYC verification despite that there's no guarantee that you will gonna take a spot from ICO.

Thank you very much!

Agree. Never seen ICO for a long time. Their unlimited appetites' of millions of US dollars as a softcap for a tiny projects forced them to die. In past ICO appeared like mushrooms after rain, now I must use a magnifying glass to find any.

Even if someone manage to find an ICO, check out what they plan to achieve and how much money they need. Nowadays no one raises millions, if not only project is supported by large funds. But an average guy wont manage to invest in such ICO, as funds fill caps as lightning.

You can rarely see them its because there fame is now fading and majority of the people think that ICO is a scam that's why there are only few of them popping out of now where, The new trend now is the NFT art and games so guess many people will go here are will try to seek an information about what possible projects they are going to invest. And its good that they do their own research since I think suggestion is somehow helpful but it doesn't mean anything if you didn't do a research about the project.

It's obvious to everyone that ICO time has passed away and there is only one way for now - to find a gem or invest in serious products like ATOM and etc and be patient) Or create a gem by yourself.
I prefer last one)

Right now I never heard such ICOs nowadays. They are been converted into Idos and IEOs which are mostly happened on dex and cex exchange. But of course there are still employ ICO type on their own platform but the problem with this is high risky venture since we don't know if the projects are legit since their run their own. That's why mostly utilized dex those trusted one that are already been used now.

I think it is a bit too late to invest in ICO's right now best is to wait until the bear market and you can find a lot of good projects to invest in then. If a project is launching it's ico in the bear market that means they are pretty confident in their product.

Forget ICO and IEO people don't get involved in them anymore, right now it's about IDO, NFTs and meme coins right now and there is a saying that always buy the rumours and sell the news this will get you faster to where you are aiming for

ICO, IEO, IDO and others are actually same done to raise funds to develop a new project, usually I will check more in the bounties section and see new projects that use trusted managers to manage the bounty in my opinion serious projects will only hire capable persons, included in the promotion affairs (although this is not a guarantee of the success of a project) and after that will do my own research whether this project has potential. But now I have stopped looking for a good ICO, I prefer to buy coins that are already in CMC and keep them for the long term.

I participate in ICOs of NFT-projects and NFT-games now mostly. There is a hype around this sphere now, so I think that the best choice is to find good coins of NFT-project or a game.
One good ICO that I have seen recently is ASPO World. ASPO World is a tactically driven intellectual game among players, developed exclusively on the blockchain, inspired by the open universe of the Tien Hiep game.

When the "money-grabbers" who used to run these schemes saw that the name ICO was branded with several bad terms they changed the names subsequently to some similar sounding but different other names like, STO>ITO which were security tokens but the flaw is that a crypto token is not a security, in other words it is a fake name.

Then came the IDO and IEO. All these are the same hype induced pump and dump schemes. Very few specially the first few ICOs ever have been somewhat successful in running a project.

The gradual demise of ICOs led to the ICO aggregator websites also shutting down and pulling the plug. Now they have sites for NFTs and staking pools. It is all a who-is-the-first type of game here. While this can be both good and bad, you are less likely to find any ICOs worthy of putting your money in.

You can in that sense take part in the current hypes. But keep in mind that these are hypes and have no long term value, the only coin that has any is bitcoin.

They're not attractive anymore. If you're asking for someone who's going to invest on it then you'll get shilled by the projects that they're going to support or working with.
But I get your point of knowing if there are still plenty of them that are good to invest with your money. The next ICOs might be the NFTs that are going to work with play to earn and that's might be their next target for crowd sale.

There are lots of different ICO's spreading everywhere and some of them are trusted and not, But need time for us to think or search on them because its only few are now ICO successfully reach there goal and one of them are become a scam project and leaving the project if they think there project are not good enough. And if you want to invest must better to look at those ICO's thus have a potential and have future so that time comes you can earn enough profit.

I won't mention any projects but you can refer to those websites you are referring to. To give you advice, the majority of projects are having a good roadmap and development. However, the question is the proper execution.

If you find some worthy ones based on your own factors and preference, try to be involved in their community discussion group first and see how their representatives address some concerns and not just pure speculative topics. That's what I always do before considering putting some risks on that project. From there, make a conclusion.

I will be going to invest in the next icos. I have been securing some good icos in my list as the next project that will become a big thing for sure. I have been using icodrop and i will be taking some icos like

- mines of dalarnia
- guild of guardian
- mintlayer

and some projects that will be launched their IDO through DAO maker and Polkastarter. It will be much more difficult to join as you will need to hodl some amounts of tokens to get a ticket.

I have been choosing those three caused by their popularity. Miners of dalarnie launched on binance and guild of guardian will be also launching its token sale on coinlist. We have not yet seen another hidden gem appear in the ico list site.

There are many different types of ICOs now: IEO (Initial Exchange Offering), IDO (Initial Decentralised Offering), STO (Security Token Offering), IGO (Initial Game Offering) and so on... I always watch and try to take part in Coinlist IDOs and don't miss Binance IEOs.
