Well I believe there is nothing the receiving side can do about it. I'm sorry. Try to contact them again and again. They need to increase miner fees.

You can use CPFP method as a receiver of bitcoins. You should search more info about it and you will in practice be able to increase the fees for that transaction.
Transaction accelerators also work pretty well.

Hello,

I had requested some bitcoin funds to be sent over to my wallet but it has not confirmed in over three days. I called the company that sent it and they keep telling me the network is overloaded and will not do anything. However in my wallet it is telling me "This transaction could take a long time to confirm or could be dropped due to the low fees set by the sender". I informed them of this and they are telling me I will have to wait it out. Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance!
