I can see at a glance that the photo attached is a little unclear. That's the transportation used which is generally used by local not foreign transportation, at least he uses We accept cryptocurrency in Hindi not English unless he aims at foreigners so he uses English. so I'm a little doubtful and don't believe that they accept cryptocurrency as a means of transportation payment.
How difficult is English for local people to understand from public transport? The word “we accept cryptocurrency” is almost recognizable by 90 out of 100 people I think now if placed on public transport. But not to say that your guess is wrong, but the second most likely reason you have answered yourself. So keep thinking positive.

Why the hell would that driver put that sign if he doesn't accept cryptocurrency, what logic is that? Even if it's not in Hindi, pretty sure that a lot of Indians can understand those simple sentence and if not, people can always ask what's in the sign. Although, it still depends on the crypto their accepting, there's a lot of it and I am sure that not a lot of people will pay in crypto for transportation.

It's good and all but certainly not something that is economically feasible, unless we're using cryptocurrencies with low transfer fees and are also fast to confirm.

Great to see that the common folk are seeing cryptocurrencies in a different way. Perhaps a lot of them are thinking that cryptocurrencies are get-rich-quick vehicles due to other people's testimonials, but we couldn't blame them though if they are living in awful conditions.

This was exactly I thinking about, it will be hard to pay passenger vehicle like that. Depends on what crypto they accept, maybe using xrp it be more cheaper transaction fee and fast payment. But if using bitcoin, I think it's not very good idea. Because the transaction fees are changing from time to time. Or even using ETH as payment, maybe it'll end up paying expensive fees for cheap transportion service.

When such people who are daily workers and don't belong to filthy rich class starts accepting bitcoin and crypto payments then mark it that it is going to soon used by all. They are people who fears volatility and fees could take major portion of the the total fare and they could end up with less amount and have to maintain the wallets and backup keys for the same. But yes they are doing it because educated ones want profits and know it is future of payments and are already making their move to accept it.Good to see that images.

Good idea, but for me too often you take a transport car and pay with crypto what is excessive while the fiat money in your pocket is spent on more expensive goods. For me it's not a problem, but how about paying with fiat directly it's easier for you to put it next to the driver and leave.

Indeed, it was easier to pay fiat money directly than to pay with crypto. It's a hassle to pay with crypto when you are riding on a car or bus or any transport because you need to make transactions everytime you pay and you need to have internet connection everytime you ride. Then, everytime you made a transaction there is a high transaction fee which is not good, I think.

Cash is of course the best transaction because it doesn't need to wait, of course crypto has a lot of problems when used like fiat, it's a strange thing when the transaction then the balance is lost because it gets hacked, because the private key is also prone to being hacked.
when viewed with cash there is also a weak point, where there are counterfeit currencies too, and this will not be found in cryptocurrencies. but indeed for now cash is the most relevant means of payment, but we will not know what will happen in the future, because the development of the digital world seems to continue to increase and later if it is judged to be more profitable then anything can happen

Sorry to say, I don't believe it's real or edited image but it is impossible, how auto driver can manage Crypto and driving auto, which Crypto he will accept, if some give him ETH they can't withdraw.

But if it's in El Salvador I guess it's somehow believable actually. If I have to accept Bitcoin I would particularly indicate which coin to be precise with the logo of the coin in the image. India seems to be far from adopting Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency. Their government has a very confusing law about it and there are articles about them developing CBDC too.

So far, the use of crypto, especially BTC for micropayments, is not effective enough, and it is simpler to use fiat or e-money payments. I think it will take quite a while for btc to really be widely accepted and recognized by the government, and its use as a payment alternative will slowly show progress. it takes time too until the existing human resources are ready and adapt to cryptocurrencies, this is a bit complicated for ordinary people, believe me.
I consider btc and crypto in general as trading commodities and investment tools, because for me payments using fiat and e-money are still very effective.

I have tried to display a reminder of accepting cryptocurrency payments in my shop.

But many customers don't know what cryptocurrency is. Some interested will ask, I also have to teach him how to buy it on the exchange and then how to transfer it to me. This wastes a lot of time.

In a month, no stranger pays with cryptocurrency except for a friend who understands Bitcoin. He used Biance's C2C function to transfer me a 200USDT bill. Finally, I removed the cryptocurrency payment method.

It takes a long time to promote cryptocurrency payments.
Although we live in the technological age but not everyone can use smartphne proficiently.Cryptocurrencies require you to have more skills to use.Cryptocurrencies have gained rapid popularity in recent times.
Actually it's not ready to become a daily payment method, we need more time.

It is not only us who need more time, it is also Bitcoin itself that needs more time to develop further. I also believe that Bitcoin won't become the payment method we will use on a daily basis. Decentralized finance also isn't ready yet. There is a lot of development to come in that area as well and that will be the same for Bitcoin. It is interesting to speculate about where we will be at in five years time. I think that is a reasonable time span to expect some significant changes to the current situation and the role cryptocurrencies play in our lives.

I guess they use multi currency wallets since it's not indicated which specific crypto that they accept. Or maybe when you ask them what cryptos are they accepting, it will only be limited to the top cryptos.

But it only shows that even for small services like the tuktuk's, it can also happen for the other transport vehicles that are open to the public.
We will know the multi wallet that bitcoin accepts when applying for payment using bitcoin, then the driver will show a QR code through the wallet wallet application that he uses. I didn't expect the tuktuk service to accept bitcoin, meaning that bitcoin has grown and can be used by everyone for any transaction.
Adoption is on the move and it is somewhat expected nor we do likely presume that we would really be seeing crypto payments more rampant compared as of these years.
Recognition had risen due into its actual utility which could really be actually fit out in terms of payment and since each country does have its own take about crypto then
we could really take advantage of it and i wasnt really that surprised about these integrations because ive seen some merchants here on my place which does accept
crypto on buying up their goods or services which is  really great to look at.

Below is a pic that's been taken on a ride. Everyone might be familiar with the Autorickshaw of India. In some part people term them as Autowala. The auto rickshaw is called with different names on different countries including auto, auto rickshaw, baby taxi tuk-tuk, 3wheel, bao-bao, tukxi. The operators are very common people who have their living out of the earning through this rental rides. They've started accepting cryptocurrency is something big and shows the increasing level of cryptocurrency acceptance.

Really exited to see this. To be frank, I am from where the auto is driven. Lovely to see, guys openly keeping a paper board stating he is accepting crypto currencies. I am sure, riding auto must be his part time job and he must be working around here in forum or trading in the big platforms here. We do see many good big companies take time in accepting crypto currencies, but where as an individual who is just a runs auto business by himself, is accepting crypto currencies. Need to really appreciate him man.

Firstly let's appreciate the fact that bitcoin is gaining mass adoption which is a good thing for everyone in the crypto space, but truth be told little things like this should just be paid with fiat because this will only add up to our daily stress, our movement won't be faster because you need to make payment and confirmation before leaving, so this will delay our daily movement, bitcoin can be used for bigger payments like in a shopping mall, sending money across country's for goods or services with no bank stress etc.

As the value of cryptocurrency rises, so does its popularity and use. It is great to see that individuals are increasingly interested in the way that cryptocurrency has become a necessary thing of our everyday life, and despite the fact that it isn't something that appears to be effective or prudent now since expenses and exchanges time is high, however, executing the thought in individuals' day by day lives is a colossal advance toward worldwide transformation.

That’s really cool, but is this something that you can see on a regularly in your location, or is it something that is rare? For sure the rate of acceptance of bitcoin is going to grow. But, I do worry about how the transaction is going to work, whether it’s going to be fast enough to cope with the usage.

Although I know for sure that there are lots of cryptocurrencies that are fast these days. Since, I started making use of cryptocurrency it has usually been bitcoin about 80% of the times and then I also make use of Ethereum. It is recently that I tried out Tron, and used it for a transaction and it was instant. There are fast cryptocurrencies, just that we all prefer bitcoin.

You made a good work brother. It's seems to the auto rickshaw from the south india. I had seen a tamil language in one of the vehicle, in front of the auto rickshaw. It's good initiate by that driver of auto. He is seems to be the person explored to the updated technology.Hope he will earn good money.
This is a kind of initiative that people from India particularly for these Autowala giving some options and the good thing is it also helping to spread awareness about crypto. But I'm in doubt how the transaction could be run instantly and for the fees as well knowing that most of the time there are some delays that happen and it sometimes takes a few minutes to confirm. We'd never know their strategies, maybe they'll buy the ticket first and get paid with cryptos before making a ride.

I havent seen any of those here on my country but i do see some shops or merchants that do already accept cryptocurrency which is really showing that adoption is on the move.

Really a good benefit for those who live in a country on where transportation payment option does already include crypto which is really a convenient one.

But i doubt that people would be using this actively because majority will surely be opting to hold their coins instead rather than using their coins on daily active transport.
Maybe for now as the adoption is not fully developed, those who knew bitcoin would rather hodl it rather than spending it. But in times when cryptocurrency is fully accepted not just in transportation but in all aspects of man's life, then we can expect that bitcoin or any form of crypto will be widely spend.

But i wonder how these passengers transact their payment? I'm thinking about the transaction fee. But i'm happy with this news. Now we are starting to adopt crypto in some parts of the world. Hopefully crypto will also be fully accepted in my country in the next years to come.

I basically replied some other topic regarding the increase in acceptance level of cryptocurrency. It seems like many people are not understanding the fact that everyday, people get to know what Bitcoin is and understand that it functions beyond being a speculative asset; that it can serve as a payment method too. This is really an inspiring post. Not just to Bitcoin but to every crypto that strives to be used as a payment method.

No, that is not what they observe these days mostly. Imagine you find out about Bitcoin today and there is a restaurant accepting Bitcoin, have fun trying to pay for your 10 USD pepperoni pizza with Bitcoin... Cheesy 20 USD in fees, 10 USD the Pizza, 2 USD the tip, seems to me like a pretty expensive pizza that you also had to wait for 30 minutes because the one block confirmation took a little bit longer.

You are seeing in a wrong perspective. The people can directly converted the cryto currency in many exchanges. The transaction to auto driver can be made with the usdt using of trc20 address. So the fee will be 0$ and the minimum wage using auto rickshaw will be 1 dollar or above.

The idea is; Bitcoin won't always have expensive fees to pay for small transactions. Technology like Lightening, and Segwit try to tackle this problem, and there will likely be more, and more improvements in the future. Currently, I would probably agree that Bitcoin isn't suited for micro transactions, such as every day transactions, however that doesn't mean it'll always be the case. I also imagine that restaurants won't require block confirmations, because the likelihood of a double spend is relatively low, and there's probably just as much risk as someone paying with a fake bill (sometimes even without knowing themselves).

That's absolutely right what you are saying and I am sure once the technology is in place that real micro transactions can happen, I think Bitcoin might go to the moon once again. Way beyond where we are at now. Think about all those people from poorer countries who then might have a real solution to their micro transactions problems. All these people are not essentially excluded from using Bitcoin because it just doesn't make sense for them. This will need some time but once the tech gets rolled out we'll see a lot of enthusiasm arise from other places of the world as well.

I believe it's in Bengaluru. Is it a decision taken by the local Auto Union? Because the sign-board says "we" instead of "I". Any Autowala can accept cryptos as per their own will but I am little skeptical how this transaction will work. Did you try paying through cryptos? If yes, please share your experience. Because it's a splendid news for crypto community of India. It's actually a granular level crypto adoption which is very very important for the growth in the market.

Quite the opposite, look at the plate behind the tire of the Truck on the right side, if I'm not wrong it's written in punjebi. I've seen some Sikhs reading somewhat similar characters in their texts, The thing is they might be using Segwit for the payment with 1sat/B fee. But it will not secure them from double spend attack.

I quite agree with what you have said, we must continue to improve the usability of transactions so that adoption continues to move forward, something that at the moment does not seem to stop.
But it is also true that you are only talking about one of the functions of money, and we can actually say that there is
mainly 3:
- Medium of exchange (the one you are named)
- Value deposit
- Unit of account
In history not always money has developed all the functions at once, many times first it has been one , as a value deposit, and then the others.
And sometimes, depending on the person and their situation, you can value one function more than another.
Imagine Bitcoin in its current state and a country where there is little security but a relatively stable currency, that person may not value Bitcoin as a unit of account, but as a means of exchange to send money to certain people safely, even if the transaction costs you money, but it will cost you much less than if you take risks to have your cash stolen. Or for example to a person where in his country his currency depreciates every day, it interests you as a value deposit, despite the volatility.
(I think what I just commented gives for another well-explained post)

That's cool. The first thing that surprised me is that in India, tricycles can already accept encryption.
However, in daily life, taking transportation is very common. In this case, the frequency of using encryption will be very high. Human wisdom is really high. I have never been to India. I am curious how to calculate the payment fee.Is it necessary to state the cost in advance? Or use a meter like a taxi?

He should have the fastest way to receive the payment or there will be a traffic jam. Anyway, this is a good innovation and experiment since this is the first time this thing has happened in the crypto world where they are now accepting payment in crypto for a ride. Looks like this is one way of promoting it other than selling foods in the street. Nice! if this will works out properly, then it would become a trend and will be adopted especially in those countries that have the same vehicles.

India’s demand for cryptocurrencies is because of the need to reduce remittance fees, and high transaction costs have forced Indians to find other ways.Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the price of the Indian rupee has fallen by about 7%. Indians need a more stable currency to store value。As the advantages of cryptocurrency in payment and stability become more and more obvious, more countries will definitely adopt cryptocurrency for payment.

But isn't the current position of the Indian government towards cryptocurrencies very critical? Didn't the consider a full prohibition and intense penalties for those who violate the law and regulatory requirements? The last info I gathered about India rather sounded like a serious crackdown.

Such instances that depicts cryptocurrency's growth and recognition all over the world regardless of the social status could be a hint on what we will have in the future. Although we cannot really get everyone to believe and accept crypto, it will still play dominant over fiat in the future as it offers more convenience and benefits as well as financial freedom compared to the traditional currency. There might still be some problems with the transactions with that right now but in no time, it will be developed so that it may cope up with how people wants to use it.

Crypto adoption especially that of bitcoin in the future is very much certain but we first need to have super-low, near-free or even free transactions as this would help the adoption rate as the high tx fee barrier will be removed from the equation. Many people have stopped transacting with both bitcoin and ETH and opted for TRC20 USDT for transfer of funds since they get to pay around $1 usdt or less as fee compared to the 3-10 dollars cost of transaction we get on with Bitcoin or ETH chains.

Also having flexible and comprehensive UI and UX will go a long way to help to on board more users to crypto.

The first thing;  is real !! I will not bother to evaluate its origin, but the collateral of the subject is important regardless of whether the photo is real or not.

It is something that is happening "little by little" or step by step it is a silent reality that already occurs in work conversations, chat groups and even more real with the small business where you live, it is no longer strange to tell someone: Hey, you accept crypto(!?).

This is the positive sign of crypto. Now we can say that cryptocurrencies are now traditionally accepted. Because if an auto rickshaw driver can take crypto as a payment method then we can say that it has been accepted by all levels of society. It is true that the acceptability of crypto will increase with the passing of the day and what we are imagining today may be established tomorrow.

Soon enough, other countries would also get the idea of using cryptocurrency as their mode of payment for transportation, this is quite convenient and I'd say tax-free since you don't have to convert your Bitcoin to fiat anymore, a good innovation and I think this is quite handy for both passengers and the drivers as well.

That's nice, it looks like it just really needs some time before people will be able to accept cryptocurrency and also this might be a good advertising as well, some people who are not familiar with cryptocurrency would be able to get curious and probably do their own research on what cryptocurrency is. Let's hope that more and more people would be able to accept cryptocurrency as a mode of payment.
Totally agree, if everything goes the way it is right now for cryptocurrency, then time will be on our side but the only problem that we have to solve is that we have to continuously improve the network for the biggest cryptocurrency in the market because if it can't keep up with the demand, we only see new people not being impressed with it because of how slow it is.

I could not agree more that for its state of adoption to be sustained, continuous improvement must be met. Of course, every day the world is also changing and innovating, and so must cryptocurrency and its network system. This would make more people see that crypto can meet their needs and demands, nevertheless.

OP, have not answered any questions about the photo that he posted, so I reckon he used the tuk tuk and paid with Fiat currency.  Huh It will be interesting to know if this is a common thing in India or if this is the exception. (Anyone in India???)

I see in Venezuela .. they use the Lightning Network.. so I hope they are doing the same with these Tuk Tuk operators. (Easy and instant transactions)  ...These guys mostly live from hand to mouth, so they are using Bitcoin in the way it was supposed to be used. (Currency)  Grin

Thank you OP, please give us more information. (India regulations and what wallet do they use)  Huh

hmm, This can imagine that they are ordinary people but are actually very advanced for today's modern technology. Acquire and concretize it into daily life. I think they already have a wallet for tenants to scan for payment. Or print it somewhere on Autorickshaw. Lol

Finally, I removed the cryptocurrency payment method.
Depending on your shop's location, it might work to promote it online. There are several websites that show local shops that accept Bitcoin on a map. If there's a popular site that covers your location, new customers will find you because you accept crypto, instead of trying to "convert" existing customers.

At that time, I also tried to advertise in the online shop, but unfortunately I was quickly asked to remove the advertisement because the policy did not allow it.

Is cryptocurrency legal in India? Or it is legal for payment method?
If so, this is very good news because so far, India has always planned to ban crypto and the regulation is not allowing crypto. But if it is a new regulation decided, it is very nice to see this. Many more countries can accept crypto moreover as payment will be great enough.
However, I am actually confused about the mechanism of paying with crypto in that transportation. Do they transfer before taking the transportation? Or what kind of mechanism. I am so curious. It should need a fast and quick transaction and also what's about the cost?
So far, the Indian government hasn't been successful of banning Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency yet although it is not illegal on their country but it was unregulated that's why the Indian government are doing something to propose a regulations upon using cryptocurrency.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory#South_Asia

I myself too is wondering how they would accept crypto currency and I wonder if it is Bitcoin or Ethereum? How about the transaction fees? A lot of questions popping up here if we talk about accepting Bitcoin but maybe they have their own way such as the restaurant/coffee shop in other countries using a machine to scan and pay using Bitcoin.

I believe it's in Bengaluru. Is it a decision taken by the local Auto Union? Because the sign-board says "we" instead of "I". Any Autowala can accept cryptos as per their own will but I am little skeptical how this transaction will work. Did you try paying through cryptos?
I agree that this scale of transaction is great news for adoption but the logistic of actually paying might paint the picture a little different.

I'm not sure if this payment is as it says because of the nature of the transaction - I suppose a sophisticated plan much like that of Uber isn't in place - so, I agree that we need more details on how this actually works if even practical.

Whether this is true or not, it is a good and positive thing for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. First, the average Joe now has some good idea about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Second, folks now believe in the future of this digital asset for massive wealth creation. On the other hand, if this isn't true, then at least we have seen that it is possible that these  guys can someday accept payments in Bitcoin in exchange for transport services offered. We can begin to think about building a structure around it that will service these folks who are at the lower echelons of society

In a month, no stranger pays with cryptocurrency except for a friend who understands Bitcoin. He used Biance's C2C function to transfer me a 200USDT bill. Finally, I removed the cryptocurrency payment method.

It takes a long time to promote cryptocurrency payments.
I've said this in the past, at its current state Bitcoin isn't exactly beginner friendly, and while there has been leaps, and bounds of progress on making it easier for users to use it as a currency, its no where near the level it is required to be at if we want mainstream adoption to occur.

Even wallet software probably needs to be improved, its too complex for the average user that isn't computer literate, and doesn't know too much about Bitcoin. I actually think making Bitcoin more intuitive, and therefore easier to use will over come most of our issues when it comes to adoption.

In my country, anything other than fiat is already ilegalized to be as payment. For adoption or maybe acceptance level, we need something bigger like companies which accept bitcoin because maybe p2p only wouldn't really give big effect for it. But in my country it will be very hard, even a site that selling digital product like to help people pay something and we can pay them with crypto, already closed.

It is not easy to promote cryptocurrency in an environment where people are not familiar with crypto and some other modern payment platforms. If your country legalizes the use of cryptocurrency as payment, I think you should proceed to accept cryptocurrency payments. Apart from being another option for payment, people will be more familiar and interested so that they will continue to use it someday.

The country that is currently studying the use of cryptocurrencies is El Salvador, which makes its people able to use bitcoin as a legal means of payment.

How is this going to work? Don't see any address or code to scan so they can send the payment. What about the fees associated with the transaction? Are they going to wait till there is one network confirmation? What about the fees? What if the guy sends a very small fee. This means its going to take forever for the confirmation to take place. And the poor guy might become a victim of the market volatility. Is it just this one guy or is everyone doing the same over there?

Thats frustrating, it only shows less people are aware of crypcocurrencies.
It would be easier if therenis a payment method like remittance app in the country that starts adopting BTC as well which you don't have to demonstrate what cryptocurrency is if anyone askz what cryptocurrency is.

Do you feel good whenever someone ask and you taught them well about BITCOIN? If YES then just let it stay and continue displaying it.

I just want to understand the scale of this, especially given what's been pointed out about India's hostile stance toward cryptos. I also wonder how they accept cryptos, and which cryptos. Is it via some payment processor, or is it via direct blockchain transactions from one wallet to another? And what about the fees and the time it takes for a transaction to get at least one confirmation? There are many questions that arise here, and it would be lovely if op could comment on them.

Yes, you're not getting the results you wanted specifically(receive cryptocurrencies), but think of it this way: because of your sign, other people get interested in this space. Which is still a win in the end!

It says clearly in the photo that he accepts crypto. That means his customer can pay anything inside crypto and not just pay using bitcoin. People aware of crypto will try to use bitcoin or other coins to see which one has a fast confirming transaction if the bitcoin network is busy or which coin does not need to pay a high fee. If that can become popular among the other services, people will start to adopt crypto and use it for other payment systems besides fiat money.

There is no limit to what you use lightning network for and since many of the altcoins are copies of bitcoin they too support lightning network of their own. There is no centralization in bitcoin either so any transaction whether on-chain or on second layer would require a regular confirmation from any miner who picks up the transaction.
It was a kind of sarcasm about the difficulty of opening and closing payment channels, due to the peculiarity of the fact that making regular payments between the driver and passengers is impossible, (although, I confess, I was not interested in whether altcoins support their own Lightning networks). The same goes for bitcoin transactions ... I answered this absurd idea in the spirit of the idea itself, because even if you ignore the transaction confirmation time, there is still an insurmountable barrier in the form of an extremely low cost of travel, which is almost identical to transaction costs.

Cryptocurrency adoption, in general, is a good thing because it promotes wider scope of establishments to be used our cryptocurrencies with. It will benefit the crypto community because the users will have a lot of options to use their funds aside from making it a store of value and in trading. However, the services offered must be improved first. Most of us know already that the processing time isn't instant. It takes several minutes for a transaction to be processed and reflected which may cause a slight inconvenience most especially if you are making the transaction in a hurry. In addition, the transaction fees are a little higher compared to the traditional payment methods. Acceptance of cryptocurrency will be pointless if there would be many inconveniences that will come along with it. I just hope in the next few months there will be positive changes regarding this matter so that we can promote it to more people without worrying about making another burden to them the moment they decide to use it on daily basis.

A Tuk Tuk driver accepting cryptcurrencies, that is a whole new level of adoption and that too in India which is believe is a common mode of transportation. It is funny at the same time a huge promotion for anyone who is not aware of the market.

@OP did you click this pic and if so did you talk with him and what all cryptocurrency he is accepting and did he get anyone who paid with cryptocurrencies.

Would be hard if you are just for short stop. Bitcoin confirmation may take some time. Unless, they are accepting TRX or XRP, which are pretty fast and cheap in transaction. But with this sign board, passengers will be aware of crypto payment, and they may search it how it can be done. And eventually, may drive for further adoption. They may ignore at the first look, but at some point, they will search it, for some curious people.

one of the hassles for people using bitcoin in the daily transaction for sure, depends on the market condition it can take in a blink of an eye to be confirmed or waiting for hours.

it doesn't matter at these times as we can pay 1-10 sats/b and it will be confirmed within minutes, but when the price of bitcoin increases, we have to pay a higher fee and wait

for a longer time, very inconvenient. Hence, there are a lot of cryptocurrencies that offer instant confirmation and lower fees for transactions.

I don't see a problem at all in someone accepting cryptocurrencies - and that's a much broader term than Bitcoin. The fact is that Bitcoin on-chain transactions have a problem in the time between blocks that can sometimes be much longer than the average of 10 minutes, and it is also a fact that LN is not something that is used en masse (at least for now). This driver may have focused on coins that have low fees and fast confirmations, and although some don’t know there are coins that have no fee and have instant confirmation (Nano).

No matter how much we supported BTC, the fact is that on-chain transactions are not an option for direct payments - and that there are alternatives that are widely used in some countries.

Popularity=/ Adoption. Those are very different terms.

Bitcoin is popular because it is seen as a good asset to hold and a risky yet rewarding investment. It is, however not widely adopted, or at least most don't see the need to. Bitcoin TX fee is expensive, LN usage is low. Requiring additional resources and time to adopt something that probably have minimal usage doesn't really make sense. So you're going to have fairly low adoption until it gets feasible enough for day-to-day normal transactions or at least becomes more attractive than it is now.

Yes, the popularity of Bitcoin in the past 3 years is indeed very rapid. Three years ago, I was the only person around me who bought bitcoin and spread it. Now the friend I often contact has a wallet, not me. I have been preaching to them for many years, but the people around them also have a new understanding of Bitcoin. The world is changing, and it is changing unconsciously.

I am very happy to tell my partners that part of the funds in the business cooperation between me and my friends have begun to be traded in Bitcoin. Every month I will give my mother some living expenses, and also use Bitcoin to transfer she.
This is great idea, we hope companies like Uber, Google, Amazon and all the major tech companies follow suit and even pay their workers in stable coins. This is the beginning of the expansion of BTC as payment system

Back to the issue of legality and scalability.

Running a crypto-based business in countries that tend to be oppressive or gray will hinder crypto adoption. Even when the crypto adoption level has been high, it can return to zero only because of the government ban policy.
Also, given that crypto transaction fees fluctuate as well as their own prices, efficiency will be a problem for a retail-scale business or service especially if it's in countries with low economic standards. Customers will not actually take advantage of that payment method.

I don't think that the Indian government can control every rickshaw driver in India. Grin
Even if India bans cryptocurrency payments,a vast number of people will still be using crypto payments and the risk of getting caught would be low.The "grey economy" will flourish, until the moment governments realize that banning crypto payments is pointless and legalize the crypto industry under their jurisdiction.
I find it fascinating that people in countries like India,Venezuela and many more Asian,African and Latin American countries are way more open towards new technology, compared to the people in Europe and USA.

Good idea, but for me too often you take a transport car and pay with crypto what is excessive while the fiat money in your pocket is spent on more expensive goods. For me it's not a problem, but how about paying with fiat directly it's easier for you to put it next to the driver and leave.

I agree. I'd rather use crypto for purchasing bigger/more expensive goods or while doing internet shopping. When you are in a hurry to reach somewhere, using FIAT or credit card is more practical. When time isn't a problem, crypto can be used. The main limiting factor here is "time". Some crypto are faster but i still don't think crypto is ideal for everyday use.

The only issue I see with Bitcoin adoption for businesses right now is the fact that they should really be waiting for confirmations to make sure that everything is okay. So, for this to be acceptable for a bus journey the journey would need to be at least 10-15 minutes. Then there's the issue with the user applying a lower fee than the average, and therefore waiting longer. Of course, businesses don't actually have to wait for any confirmations, and as soon as they see it on the Blockchain they could potentially just accept it, however there will be a risk in that, albeit probably very small, I feel like stakeholders wouldn't be happy with allowing such a security risk.

That's one of the advantages that paying with cash is its instant, and it can be checked on the spot for any fraudulent cash. Of course, this isn't a fool proof scenario either if the fraudulent money is especially well made, but remember that we would need to convince them that Bitcoin is a better way of paying, not the same or less advantageous for them to be willing to accept or potentially even convert to accepting Bitcoin exclusively.

I'm curious what cryptocurrency really applies for their basic fare when taking a ride of a transportation within the  specific location. Because if they required btc, I don't think it will be economical since it's so expensive these days. Maybe other coins like eth, bnb, or xrp can be accommodating for this type of cryptocurrency acceptance as long as there's a proper implementation along with internet access. This is really a great idea and will make our lives more comfortable going to be cashless future.

That is a very good signal for crypto currency. Sectors of society like this are the ones which we need to see adopting crypto, because they are highly demanded by the common citizens in a daily basis.

With the popularization of internet access everywhere, scenes like this one are going to be become a lot more common from now on. But I believe P2P transactions are still a daydream. If crypto payment method is going to be highly adopted, it's probably going to be done through a third party platform that may work as a crypto bank or something like this, so the transactions can be done instantly without paying expensive fees.

so very ineffective if applied. Just use paper money to pay for it, as this is more of a direct transaction where passengers don't have to have crypto and are still effective with paper money. Although, most likely, payment is accepted only in bitcoins, and regardless of transaction costs, all passenger transactions are confirmed by miners from the Autoricksh pool.

People nowadays is getting smarter when it comes promoting bitcoin.  Cheesy Well to be honest that's a good idea but only if your country not against with crypto currency coz it is like a double pay when bitcoin price is increasing in the market. Lmao Whereas instead of using any digital currency that nothing and it just makes the payment more easier unlike bitcoin that you have chance to make it grow coz its like holding.

Good idea, but for me too often you take a transport car and pay with crypto what is excessive while the fiat money in your pocket is spent on more expensive goods. For me it's not a problem, but how about paying with fiat directly it's easier for you to put it next to the driver and leave.
