Thanks! Bitcoin fits the concept for my next work, so maybe it may be the way to go.  At least in part.

Thanks! I don't know much about startjoin, the entries I see on google are somewhat vague.  It very well might be but that looks like something I will keep an eye on.  I have one feature already in distribution, so i already have some merchandise to move.  I will look into opencart. Thanks!

Startjoin is relatively new, so I am not surprised google is a bit behind.

I forgot to mention that there are some links in my signature to a cpanel web host with PHP and mySQL which will be required if you go for a self hosted shopping cart like opencart, but to help there is a simple instillation wizard in the cpanel Smiley

Good luck with your venture!

Sites like indiegogo and kickstarter are too entwined with PayPal, I like the idea of something like bitcoin as an alternative,

Would www.startjoin.com be suitable?

does anybody have a suggestion on how to monetize my site so that it doesn't appear as spam,

Any site that provides relevant, unique, interesting and original content will not be seen as spammy.

also for further reference when it comes time for having material to be sold, is there a shopping cart service that I can look too?

Hi, I am an independent filmmaker who is looking to develop my next feature film. I have been toying around with bitcoin for about a month or two and I see the potential for crowdfunding and monetizing to help boost or even fund my next project. Sites like indiegogo and kickstarter are too entwined with PayPal, I like the idea of something like bitcoin as an alternative, and for a film maybe I can even use bitcoin funding as a possible viral hook to get my project of the ground.i am hoping to launch a website by may, does anybody have a suggestion on how to monetize my site so that it doesn't appear as spam, also for further reference when it comes time for having material to be sold, is there a shopping cart service that I can look too? What would be the best method to cash out once we are ready to go? I have been watching all of this with great interest for a few years and I am very serious about taking this route.

Thanks! Again, I have been following but I am new and very naive and cautious about this, so any advice or insight or warnings would be helpful.
