This isn't for India only, really, but for all countries.

As yourself, if the government people were honest, and really in favor of the people, are they real medical people at the same time they are government people?

What I mean is, all the reasons the medical people are advising lockdowns, is based on appearances. Nobody, even in the medical, really knows that Coronavirus is as big a problem as it is. There are loads of reasons for people being sick. And if a humble, honest, medical person were asked straight out, if he knew for a fact that CV was the reason for the problems, based on true medical research, he would have to say that he isn't sure.

When you add to this the fact that government people aren't always honest, just like medical people aren't always honest, you can see that this whole so-called pandemic might not be a pandemic at all.

India has produced some of the nutritionally most advanced knowledge around. In fact, they might only be superseded in this area by China. So, why do China and India have some of the biggest problems in the CV area? It's because their people have given up nutritional ways, and succumbed to the ways of the modern West.

India has the jury available to its people, although percentagewise, few people over there use it. Take the medical to court, and get a proven response, under oath, from medical people, that it really is CV that is doing it... proven by actual test reports that clearly show that it IS CV, and isn't something else. They can't really do this, because the immune system is so complex, that much of what they would be showing would be guesswork.

If you don't get court adjudicated proof, all the talk and all the media is simply hearsay. There might not be any problem at all. All the CV deaths might be something other than CV. And it might be a lie, as well.

Do you have proof? Or are you relying on hearsay?

So a few hours ago, our prime minister, Modi, has announced that due to Corona there will be a 21 days strict lockdown in all over the country. And those not following will be punished accordingly.

The country was leniently locked for few days and when I got out today outside for to buy an important stuff, a traffic police chased me and hit my elbow with his stick and I got into a verbal fight.

I think although the situation is really intense, this is just too much. Many poor people would just die off this if there's a strict lockdown even if government promises to supply resources as a country with such a big population is really very hard to feed with governments limited resources specially in rural areas.

What do you think of this and what alternate ways you might suggest..

in third world countries governments are doing that mainly for the sake of not being demonised for doing nothing, corona quarantine is extremely expensive, and third world countries will have issues doing that.

So it's really true I have seen videos on my Facebook account our brothers in India getting hit by sticks for going out and I thought, it's an isolated case from one town, so the whole India is into this, we are lucky here we only have community quarantine but getting your country lockdown, you should have support from the government of your basic needs or if you have the means they should issue quarantine pass.

Fear now has a new name . India is doing well to overcome the epidemic than other countries. Union and state government are alert regard to present situation..
In the time of a crisis, the worst affected will always be the poor.
Delhi Govt's night shelters across Delhi are providing free food to the poor and needy people.
ArvindKejriwal has directed the officials to set up more centres so more people can have food.
Delhi Govt won't let anyone sleep hungry during this epedemic.
The goverment of kerala and other states are ensuring food and shelter to all those who are homeless and on the streets
Goverment is ensuring door delivery of groceries.
It is a scary enemy, but an enemy we can overcome with solidarity

Our focus 21daylockdown should be Communication, Ownership, Re-calibrating, Orienting, Nurturing & Assisting govt & healthcare industry in the battle

Stay safe. Together, we shall overcome .

Yeah the govt has taken this step to stay us all safe If the epidemic has not spread an excessive amount of in India from now on it'll be easier to affect it if we are careful. For this the Indian government has given Modi all India lockdown for 21 days and is providing food to the poor We must all adhere to the present so as to be safe.

I don't know about India but I think should impose a curfew where you have a time window where you can buys some stuff, and based on what you said they should up their relief operation because more people will surely die of starvation rather than the pandemic itself.

Hey Mad7Scientist, can I see a link or research about your claim on most Indians not getting flu shots?

I also believe that a great diet helps the body develops immunity against viruses like COVID-19 and found out that India has the most numbers of vegetarians all over the world https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegetarianism_by_country. That may also explain the low percentage of confirmed cases and higher number of recoveries than deceased. Despite the healthier lifestyle, Indians should never underestimate the situation. Even if their own body can fight off this virus, they can still become a carrier and transfer it to those who have weaker immune system.

It's a totally unnecessary cover up. India mostly doesn't do flu shots, which is why the virus isn't spreading fast and isn't causing many deaths, despite India having a huge population.

Look at the statistics for March 25, 2020:
Total Cases: 606
of which 0 in severe condition
Deaths: 10
Deaths/ Total Cases: (2%)
Recovered: 42
Recovered/ Total Cases: (7%)

They're going to say that they saved the day by doing a lock down, when this virus is just a regular yearly flu. The real thing that saved the day is that Indian people don't get flu shots.
Growth rate is just similar as other nations where we are saying it rapidly spreading in India as well but in India the first case recorded was too late compared to other that is why the figures is too low and the lock down is to keep the numbers down or it will get out of control in such country with population over 1.3 billion

So, cops hit you just because you was in public during quarantine? Wow, this is way too much. Ok, it's lockdown, but police can't hit people on streets without any reason. People still need to to buy food or go to work. Most of us don't go out of home without important reason.
I think that complete lockdown isn't solutiom, despite pandemy. Obviously, shops most continue to work. And I think that most factories also should work, with all precautions obviously. Otherwise huge recession will begin. This pandemy already hurts economy a lot.

Heh, i wonder where is that nice country you live in that society expects cops NOT to hit people, be thankful they are not shot on the spot. If anything, the cop would be endangering himself by getting close to a possible diseased...

If you have to go out you have to do it alone, and keep your distance from others at all times. It would be good if you had gloves and a mask, but there are simply not enough of them. Only reason to go out is to procure food or medicine (if no delivery is available); no socializing, no getting close to others for no reason.

If you fail to abide or your country fails to make people comply, the virus spreads and the situation lasts longer.

In this state of emergency, any "rights" you may feel to have, are suspended. This is exactly what people feel when their gov is ousted by a military junta or such, it is a nice experience for some of you to experience this first hand. And the surviving is also part of the experience, but usually it means hiding from people's bullets, not an invisible virus.

China stopped it because they implemented strong measures like this, after the local gov failed the central gov acted. Other countries were more lax, and are now paying the consequences.

Current top 10 countries by deaths:

  • Italy 6820
  • Spain 3445
  • China 3281
  • Iran 2206
  • France 1100
  • United States 804
  • United Kingdom 422
  • Netherlands 357
  • Germany 181
  • Belgium 178

As you can see it is running rampant in hyper connected Europe, its also thriving in the USA.

Also there is a reason the richer countries got it faster: people there actually have money to travel. This very simple fact is ignored by some. Of course, they also had more money for tourism, or simply more business. When was the last time you wanted to visit a poor country? Ever been to Haiti? And guess what, an average Haitian could never afford a plane ticket in the first place.

Does it mean the poor countries won't get it? Actually, they don't even have health care in many cases, not only are they getting it (late but getting it), they can easily overcome the top 10 countries. And act as recurring source of the virus worldwide.

This is happening because people take it for granted so they have no other choice to stop the people from having community spread. It will take couple of days for things to get settle down after that we can go to shops to buy important stuffs only.Still people are roaming on the roads and making tiktoks so what we can do other than hitting them to stop doing this.

I accept as true with you this lockdown is merely possible in developed countries. The impact is on the poorer people that eat day in and out How long will they spend the day after eating if they're off work for therefore long? therein case the govt has got to take measures to feed them. This virus may be a curse for poor people.

A lockdown in a poor country is just not possible, people earn and eat day by day, with the possibility of going hungry if they don't work enough/sell enough for the day.

I think we will be talking about revolutions/political upheavals ignited by Coronavirus, and this can happen not only in poor countries but also in advanced economies if unemployment suddenly raise.

I agree with lockdown but there are are some exceptions here, like going to the grocery or pharmacy. If cops will abuse their position, this is really uncalled for. I am also in a country where lockdown is implemented, but to control the people going outside, only one person per household is permitted to buy necessities. But if Indian govt can provide basic necessities for all its constituents, and delivered at their doorstep, why not? But I highly doubt it will happen. People will die because of hunger not from the virus.

@iamsheikhadil I woke up in the morning to read this news, and I’m not surprised as many news outlets were already saying it that he was going to be locking the country down today. However once again I’m disappointed in the way he’s announced it, as he could have at least given you people one or two days to store stuff before the country is in lockdown. Also I’m puzzled as to how a law officer can hit you, you should consider filing a police complaint against him.

Exactly. While I understand that this lockdown might be necessary to an extent, the way it's getting implemented is so flawed. And all policemen are given so much power that they even chase and come inside many homes to beat up. They are just having their fun in name of duty. A lady doctor on her way to hospital was also assaulted by a police even when she told she was going do hospital.

If there were already recorded numerous local transmissions, your government may be a bit too late for implementing a strict lockdown. The announcement may look abrupt but it may be appropriate. The virus does not wait for one or two days to spread from one host to another and it's not like citizens aren't aware that there is a global pandemic.

They already released a guideline and I am quite certain that there will be more to follow depending on the daily situation in your country. Do your part and let the authorities do their job. At times like this, your government and those who are on the frontlines like your police officers needed all the cooperation they can get from citizens.
