believe me it will be a lot simpler to trace the suspicious transaction through bitcoins as compared to cash..! If bitcoin  were used for any such things there will be no need to search you car  for cash.. then they will just sit in front PC and look for any such suspicious transaction and it will be more easier to tackle ..!

bitcoin is not anonymous.

If a entity makes a large number of transaction to a large population. it would be  easier to track down who the person is  easily. all transaction is open and can be analysed.

even the addresses used by silk road was not immune to this analysis.

Its election season and today i was asked to stop and my car was checked by election authorities and police for any large cash, I am sure that if you are reading this and live in India, you also would have had your car raided by now or very soon.

Now the key question is how is the election authority going to regulate in  future in  a  bitcoin ecosystem. cash for vote will become bitcoins for votes and now people will be paid for votes without any hurdle anonymously, and in small amounts this is a serious concern as it is a bad thing for Democracy.

Again Bitcoin is only a tool and is not responsible for how people are using it and things may become alright on a long run but in short term what is the solution to this issue.
